You are a tough grader - It's a great whiskey. However that's an excellent review and your comments make sense for a guy that's not an oak fan.

My understanding is that this is almost always gonna be an on-point result. Will I ever know? Doubtful. Even a pour of Stagg is hard to come by, and then something about as enticing will be 1/4 the price on the menu. Fortunately so much excellent bourbon is gettable at MSRP…of which I definitely have an excessive number of bottles. Keep up the good work, sister!

Tequila is actually harder to make. But ain’t no liquor worth more than $100 in my opinion. Fortaleza became harder to get because of you snobs. You and your fhucking addiction to collections of spirits. Tequila hoarders that don’t even drink it, they just want to have it on their stupid shelves.

Without disrespecting Beyoncé, why on earth to associate whiskey which is a drink with honor and a special history, with tradition. For a name that is so different... maybe I'm not explaining myself.

By the way- my first whiskey was Lagavulin 16 witch is very peaty. And fall in love immediately. In my opinion there is a big difference between smokey to peaty whiskey ❤

Worth MSRP…much more than that I’d say a pass. “Delicate” is a nice descriptor for this year’s release. I like the flavors that are present…they just aren’t condensed enough to make a statement. The thing I love about Cellars is it has the LEAST amount of “Makers funk” on them typically. It is a unique offering, deviating from their core profile and leaving you with something different. Cheers!

At this point I woul 4:02 dn't buy it if there were a thousand bottles of it at the local liquor store. I've hunted for one small bottle in 5 different states all for there to be none. Crown Royal has been a favorite for years but if this is how they treat consumers with something new then I'm finished with them. Jack Daniels wins as usual.

I have a bottle of the IPA experiment and an old one of the Caoran Reserve…love the bottle shape.

I even think it is the other way around…most Scotch is not smoky.😮

iirc that's one reason they do the "buy a square foot of land" thing, they bought up the land uphill from the distillery to make sure the source can't be sabotaged again.
