Просмотров 3,4 тыс.Год назад
This a 2011 Ford Fiesta base model with the 5-speed manual transmission. 5th gear first disappeared and later became stuck. We pulled the transmission and determined the cause was a severely worn shift fork. Replacements aren't currently available, so we welded this one back and up and sent it.

amazing work bro, you should have shielded the guitar. just the aluminum pickguard aint gonna do much without shielding the pickups holes
I heard a rumor about a boy falling to his death in the ice plant. Any truth to this?
@@thewelder6083 Unfortunately, that did happen.
oh wow. That's terrible. When did it happen?
@@thewelder6083 I was a kid at the time. It would have probably been mid-late 90s.
His name was Matt Hulbert and it happened late in the summer of 1997
Hi whats the brand of the Pickups? Thanks
They were Fender tex-mex pickups
Is it fine if i remove the shorting bar and connect everything back together? Asking this because my safety switch does not work when the bar is installed,i assume the wedges on connectors are not lifting the bar up.
It should be fine if yours has this style of wiring.
I just watched your whole build series!!! Very nice!!! Got some great ideas for the build I'm about to do, and confirmed some of the ideas I already had in my head!!!!!!!!! Good stuff!!!
Hey bro. How much youd say the engine weights?
Put new pups in while you’re at it.
@@williambock1821 I actually didn't have any complaints with the factory P90s. They sounded great to me.
Great Job, can i Send you now my TE62😊 Greetings from Sweden Michael

Do a video on the fighting
Great set of three videos. Unfortunate that you were not successful. I have been asked to look after one of these. Hope it starts and works. If not I can learn much from your efforts.
Достойно уважения!
I think I would have lengthened the front out like a 4 :30 and then used a straight pipe or something to go through the hood and put a radiator on it off of a 430
Where did you get your service manual for the 393?
@bethwestberry5322 i had to purchase it online via download. It covers several models and the wiring diagrams are difficult to follow, but it's better than nothing.
wait u didnt crown and level the new frets?
I was able to get mine to work by turning the ac to cold while the car is on. After I shut the car off, i removed the climate control fuse for 30 seconds, reinstalled it then started my car and the actuators recalibrated.
21:00 thanks for showing intonation tool for floydrose!
Nice job. I am surprised that you didn't think of upgrading the pickups as those were the other weak point on that guitar for me. I thought the fret work was ok personally. I did end up selling my Jem Jr as I could buy an RG550 for less than the cost of the Jem Jr and the parts for upgrading it.
Very well done, thorough and clear. I will disconnect because I mostly you the machine to do chores around the property. If mowing and I want to get off, I will shut it off. Thanks.
Ну хоть бы почистил бензопилу, а то все пишут все равно грязной будет. Нет не все равно, как попилил, почисти, так и прослужит дольше 👍👍👍
Do u not have any needle nosed pliers or what?? Lol
what mm drill u used for drilling guitar?
Did you have to chance the locking nut as well?
@diogospenna surprisingly enough, it was just right after the fret work.
@@tightwadproductions961 sorry, I meant if you stayed with the original Ibanez locking nut or did you ended up getting a Gotoh locking nut ?
Very good job Very Informative!!! Thank You
I brought this October 2024 its a struggle to use with the batteries not lasting 5 minutes each
Fantastic video! For others not so skilled, I'd be concerned about using a crow bar and possibly elongating the insert holes in soft wood. Drop a screw in there or use a longer bolt with washers. I also wouldn't free hand the drill. That hole needs to be straight. You don't want to be leaning the drill left, right, or tilting front or back.
Quick question what size of drill bit did you use?
Most likely it is 11 mm
That's a lot of work and you must have felt like a million bucks when it moved for the first time!
@@daviddion129 that I did!
That's an actually pretty good setup!
It's amazing how much you can learn from watching a video rather than simply listening to instructions without the visual. This is one of the best how to videos I have ever watched! I came away from it with the confidence that I could, in fact, troubleshoot this myself. It turns out that the electric was never getting to the solenoid because of the handbrake switch - the handbrake wasn't engaged (sheepish grin)! Thank you tightwadproductions!!
@adrianandrews2980 awesome, I'm glad it was helpful! I learned a lot from other good youtubers too.

Great video. How did you resolve the loose bridge bushings?
@@Timberfist i ended up swapping over to a graph tech bridge that came with bushings. I would imagine pulling the bushings and adding some medium or thick superglue would keep it in place.
I have a pretty severe side slope on my front lawn about 35° that runs parallel longways with the house..... If I pull that 4 prong bar and lean way off the side of the mower or walk next to it with the mower deck engaged would it still stay on? Thanks for your input
@zm4341 yes, it should keep everything running without weight on the seat.
Dang! Can I send you my guitar neck for that amazing work?? I'm serious! Or can you recommend someone?
Is it a Jem JR or some other guitar? It would depend on if I had the right tools for your fretboard radius. I can currently do 12in and 16in.

It’s a 300 not a 3000 😒 I’ll tell you just for one of these for free that hasn’t been ran in at least 6 years.. drained the fuel.. removed bar and chain cleaned it a little switched to on hit the primer 6x pulled the choke and fired up second hit.. I’m in total shock.. thought a full field system replacement was needed just to see it it works anymore. Echo def has my interest now after this experience.. prob gonna swap out the 14” bar for the smaller one though it’s not a lot of HP even for a 14” bar.. but low key might be the best unknown gem for regular around the home stuff..
Talk man

Nice work, so the Gotoh fits right in without any modifications beside the wider insert for the trem posts?
@@thesaj1110 correct, it's a close fit on the high string side, but it does clear without any filing.

Fog light thing worked for me couldn't believe it! Thank you so much! I have been driving without AC for a month because I couldn't find time to mess with it lol.

I wonder if this applies to a hybrid? Were gonna try it. The AC cuts out every once in awhile. Thank you for taking the time to post this video. Very helpful.
Nice work. Could you please discribe Every product you used to clean and derust everything? Thanks, Paul
Looks like your really enjoying that car. Very nice Model A!😊
One of the "must do'" with These Budget Jems for me Is I redo the neck in birchwood casey gunstock oil. Hate the way they feel and look stock. With the gunstock oil they feel a lot more expensive And in my opinion look better.
Good job
Got this one also re

Well, got in my car and no air. Worked the day before. Came in and watched your video. Went out and turned two clicks and wala, it worked. THANKS lol
