Battery install on a 2020 Triumph Bonneville T120 Diamond edition
I'm installing a lithium-ion battery in my 2020 Triumph Bonneville t120 diamond edition. It's pretty much of a straightforward project no difficulties with this install. The average person can do this with the proper set of tools. #triumph , #triumphbonnevillet120 , #triumphbikes , #bonneville

This is my personal 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4S. I removed the stock cat and replaced it with a Leo Vince pipe which I installed myself. The bike still has the stock tune to it and seems to be running fine without any problems, could be slightly richer on the top end but not bad for a stock tune. I picked up about six HP by removing the cat and still running the stock muffler, sounds ok. Stock ...

there dyno never lets anyone hit 200 hp it's there dyno trying to get people to pay them for custom tunes smfh i know for a fact that bike hits 204 hp with no mods i've seen it on two separate dyno don't let them scam u
Actually I've seen a Kawasaki H2R hit over 280hp on this dyno. ruclips.net/video/YHYF_EziEd0/видео.html
20 year old bike ain’t making 180.
That's for sure.
Thanks extraction is tricky. Why spacers if battery is for the '20?
The spacers are needed because the battery will fit multiple bikes. Also the battery needs to be at the height of the original battery in order to keep it held down from the battery strap.
Did you end up tuning the bike? Any updates on how it's doing?
I did not tune the bike just yet. It seems to be running fine without any problems but im sure it will on the lean side and I will get it tuned in the future. Other than that the bike runs strong and constantly lifting the front wheel when I get on it. I use the bike to go to work when the weather is nice out and it's only 15 minutes each way. If I plan on doing some real ridding I will get it tuned for sure.
RIDE RED BABY! 102 HP is NOT bad for a stock bike. With a 3/4 Akrapovic Exhaust System, Cat Delete, Power Commander, 520 chain-n-sprockets, bike should be able to get to 115 HP easily. However, like I said, 102 is good enough. My 1999 R6 with Jet Kit and Full pipe got me 102, and I took many a podiums on that R6 in the 600 and 1000 Novice Classes (MRA 2002-2003), even got a couple of 1st place trophies. I even beat many 1000s on my R6 back in the day. It is always 95% rider. In MotoAmerica for the 2024 season, I am seeing the same Lap times between 1000 Superstock and 600 Supersport (both uses the same tires); and on some tracks, the 600 SS bikes are even faster than the 1000 Superstock bikes. I am guessing this is because the 600 Supersport Class seems to have better riders than 1000 Superstock. FYI: The best riders in MotoAmerica ride in the 1000 Superbike Class and NOT 1000 Superstock. In 2024, it was an R6 with a 599cc-I4 engine that won the Supersport Championship, it beat many Ducati 955cc-Twins to get that Championship. GSXR-600s also did pretty decent in the 600 SS class. No Kawi-636 in the top 10, and CBR600RRs are now non existent in the 6000 SS class (in MotoAmerica 2024), although a Honda CBR1000RR-R SP did get the #1 and #3 in the Superstock Class. It seems the top racers can't tune the 600RR to get as much power as they can the R6 and the GSXR600. However, that's perfectly fine for Team Red. We do NOT buy Hondas to race at the top levels! we buy them them to race at the local club racing, and we buy them because they are the easiest to ride fast, they crash the best (meaning least damage in a crash), and they are ultra reliable. RIDE RED BABY!
I think that helmet is squeezing the oxygen out of his brain.
😅🤣😂
should be making 165 on the wheel. crap dynotuner
Could of with the right dyno tuner. In this case not so much.
Still have this?
Sorry sold it a while ago.
Just wanted to clear some misconceptions up. The c14 motor is based off the first gen ZX14 06-11. It's not just detuned, it has a completely different cylinder head (however same displacement of 1352cc) The ZX14R 2012+ has a 1441 CC motor and isn't remotely close to the concours motor.
@@MrJayjay0420 thanks for clearing that up.
The Harley sprints were extremely fast in their day. I saw all the Harley big boys at a short track race down In Alabama on Sprints and nothing could run with them. Good MEMORIES!!!!! 😊😊😊😊
Thats his bike for sure .
Good test in stock!🎉 Do You any US specifications on this bike? Or is it the same to Europ?
Do You have the stock hp to the v4s Panigale mister?👍🏻😎
Not power 😮!!!
Yeah, you think in r1 would do much better than that.
@ yes my r1 2021 187hp to the wheel with a half akra
@ no my r1 at 185hp rear Wheel
Okay, so it's been about a year. Still liking the pipe? Would you buy it again? I am thinking about purchasing the same instead of other ebay choices . 62 for me in 2 weeks, yep old as dirt
I absolutely love the pipe. I would buy it again due to the price. In this day saving money is huge with the bad economy so every dollar I can save is a win. In the future I may change the silencer/muffler to quiet it down a tad, running the stocker now. The bike is totally rideable without a flash. Sure it may be running a bit lean but it's not far off the mark. Power feels great and the loss of excessive weight is a win. Oh, and welcome to the 60 and up club my friend. I don't feel old and I dont even own a cruiser...lol. Closest thing to a cruiser that I own is a 2020 Triumph Bonniville T120.
" I don't even own a cruiser" . . . Nice! Thanks for the information. I bought a moto guzzi California, a couple of years ago, didn't have it long. I thought I could slow down and do it. Guess not. Cruisers aren't for me either
Rocking Nazareth, love that album. You must be old!
As dirt...lol Just turned 62
Hi, coule you tell me where have you buy thé l'éther tank pad ? Regards ✌️
It is not my bike so I have no clue where the owner got the tank protector from. Sorry.
did anyone catch that he has his exhaust baffle hanging halfway out of this exhaust
OMG. Just noticed that WTH.
Flatplane V8 Sound (V4 Engine)
@@ahimeirhadad4836 The best sounding engine in my opinion. I own a 2017 Aprilia 1100 V4 factory edition and just love how the engine sounds.
.Because these bikes have rubber mounts up front, do not mount a bracket off the frame, the header flanges will leak prematurely. There's a spot to fit a bracket near the rear engine mount bolt, thus rocking the pipes with the mill..
It's not my bike but that is some good solid info right there.
Gabro tune, velocity stacks and race filter 201.8 hp 🎉and 90,7tq. Bren tune is not the way for aprilia
I personally installed the Gabro tune on my 2017 Aprilia Turno and it runs strong.
Thanks, mystery solved 👍
Someone should have told that dude when he said ‘over 100’ that he was looking at the mph. Poor dude is going to be telling everyone that his stock bike made 120 at the tire. Lmfao
@@Dipndots87-ms6ds 😂
Yalls dyno id off or something. That think should be making at LEAST 105 to the wheel.
You are correct it should be making 105 to 106 horsepower at the rear wheel. I think that 600 has seen better days.😂
@ okay.. glad I’m not going insane, I was really confused
Do you need power commander to tune dukes or can you use just the ecm?
All show and no go lol
Does the lithium battery need to be in a trickle charger during winter? Or it holds on for 6 months 😅?
Great question. Since I live in Florida we can ride all year round and no need to put a charger on it. You probably live in a colder climate and you may have to put a charger on it once or twice during the winter months. I would not leave a charger on a lithium battery because it could damage it. Just get the battery up to peak power and take the charger off, might only take a few minutes.
Love the under tail exhaust
@@AbuBawa-sw1ut yes, it's pretty sweet 👍🏻
It is not the same engine as a zx-14, ZG is 1392 with Variable valve timing the ZX is 1441 with no VVT the only thing that is in common is the oil, air filter and Spark plugs. Look it up Silly....
The c14 is based off the first gen ZX14. Both have the same displacement of 1352cc, however yes you're correct about the cylinder head. The Gen 2 ZX14R has the 1441cc motor
intake wants to add a few more horses above 120 mph. that's what the scope is for in the front. so this is just suction horse not with air being pushed into the engine
@@tomolsson7313 I totally agree. Getting that ramair effect can really boost horsepower figures.
The ecu has a 'ram air' fuel map. Bren does not tune for fuel or timing. It just removes the torque limits. Since the bike is not moving and no fuel enrichment, the dyno run is moot. When moving through the air at 180 mph, the hp is 200+ wheel with a real tune.
So do you think the Bren tune is hurting this bike's performance?
People care way to much about max hp no realizing your only at max power for 10% of your ride its all about smooth linear power
I agree. That smooth linear torque line is what gives the bike rideability and putting the power to the ground.
+ Ram Air adds over 10hp on top 😁
Gotta love ram air
There cannot go high HP coz of SC project imitation, Try Spark Exhaust 200HP in the bank!
Why spend money on an air filter, and full exhaust and not pay for a tune of any kind
A Tune is a must because they coming running lean from the factory.
What sissy bar is that?
Not sure, it's not my bike but just a customer that was getting their bike dyno'ed
here is a suggestion... get your son..you wife..your daughter..your neighbor to hold the phone..so you can use both hands
Does 2015 and newer concours’s make more hp?
@@FlashBro-r4w I will research this and get back to you soon.
@@TRocksGarage777 thank you ! 🙂
Ok, I got an answer for you. The Kawi engine in the Concours is the 1352cc engine which is used from 2007-2022 and the all make around 156hp at the crank and around 140hp at the rear wheel. With that being said the 2015 and newer ones do not make more power than the older ones.
@@TRocksGarage777 okay thank u! So they all make the same amount of hp throughout the years? I’m getting the 2017 blue model. I was back n forth on picking the concours or fjr1300 . The thing that got me about the concourse is the extra power it has. I guess it’s not that much more than the FJR1300? At 140 hp too? Maybe that’s at the crank for it tho
@@TRocksGarage777 I want to add that the 2015 and later models received a new 1st gear which makes the bike less snappy compared to the older models.
What happened to the Dyno clips?!??
Well, I was filming at the Ace Cafe in Orlando and they shut down. They are in the process of moving to a new location in Florida and as soon as they open up again I can make some new content. So in the meantime it will be various video's on how to... I'm excited to do more dyno video's in the future. i think the new location will open by the end of this year or early next year.
@@TRocksGarage777 Off topic from Australia here and a video from you a few years ago..? That 1972 CB350 four had NOT only done 5,242 miles as terrible condition of the LEFT side covers and the gauges themselves clearly indicate that this is what these look like after 52,242 miles. EVERYONE winds these old speedometers back. It's so easy a child can do it. You done got had there sir.
❤❤❤
Is it whp?
Nice work!
That's nice. I like Suzuki's - I have a 40 year old GSX1100ef with origional airfilter setup, a 4 into one open pipe and carbs set up, and it makes 120hp and 81 f/lb of torque. It's a beast. There's a reason they were the first 200mph 1/4 mile bike (Vance and Hines) I would have expected more torque from this bike as it's a big twin but there you go.
I would love to get some video of your Suzuki on the dyno.
How a 110 stage 2 cams can only make 93 hp ??? Blud must forgive a gear that impossible usually you can get like 110 or 115 whp with that stuff
The bike actually sounds like a dog and takes forever to build up power. Must have the wrong tune on there. Something just doesn't seem right with this bike.
Every dyno reads low. Where is the normal reading dyno. lol
This bike should make 203 horsepower at the crank. And at the rear wheel without any mods should make about 172 to 173 horsepower.
Hi, on a totally different note, you seem to very mechanical. May I ask who make that motorcycle lift you have? and how do you like it? Thanks.
I believe it is a Harbor Freight lift and bought it for $300.00 when it was on sale about five years ago and love it, best investment ever. I can't see working on a bike without one these days. Having to work on a bike at eye level is the best. I have a roll around chair that makes working on bikes even better. I should of gotten this lift at least ten years ago because I own ten bikes and working on the ground gets old real fast.
Thanks for the video. It was a big help.
@@soundlaboratoriessoundsrig8289 thanks for the input. I think I'm going to start doing more of these how-to videos. I'm constantly working on bikes and thought I throw a video out here and there. I will eventually get better at them and cutting them down a little. Haven't done a video in a really long time and got to get back into the swing of things. Again thanks for your input 👍🏻
It’s not even about the numbers look at ass those curves look lmfao 🤣
Excellent work!
