I got another Sega Blast City but this time its a bit different than any unit I've had before. We will explore the the term HUO, its implications, and some other unique and strange things about this rare candy cabinet that has never spent a day in an arcade / game center. For anyone curious Game Saru imported this cab from Japan. Gotten a couple questions about where it came from. FYI Gamesaru ...

Awesome video🎉 congrats , your setup is awesome. Actually i have a question about it. I do have 2 aero city and i want to play mvc2 from a naomi . My question is , can i use a vga splitter to send the signal to a second cabinet with a second io board?
@@beyondreamsandmind1679 picture wise definitely but this setup uses an amp board for the signal but vga is probably good. not sure how you're gonna handle inputs.
@@_Tizoc_ thanks for your respond. So i do have a cabinet with player 1 and player 2. So my idea is to pass out the players2' cables to the second cabinet and the vga to the second io board. Not sure if its gonna work out. Do you have exp in this topic?
@@beyondreamsandmind1679 I have experience in doing it the right way. you know there are other versus kits, right? what you're talking about is a bootleg way of doing it
@@_Tizoc_ thanks, did not know that. Lol
@@beyondreamsandmind1679 pretty sure nac is making a new one maybe some other groups as well.

From what I’ve heard, the test board is a Sega game that’s sold with the cabinet because of Japanese regulations stating you cannot sell an arcade without a game.
i made a follow up video about it!
the amount of "uhh" and "umm"s is driving me crazy i cant finish this video dude.
@@henryblazer20 one of my first ever videos. definitely walked away feeling like it was too much but felt the knowledge was valuable enough to justify sharing even though it was imperfect. still trying to master speaking to the camera to be honest.
@@_Tizoc_ cool man
@_Tizoc_ --- Is it possible to connect this to a PC or console to use as a monitor, speaker, controller to play games from them instead of using the arcade board? Or is this basically a PC in a cabinet already and could be used to play PC games and emulation directly? I think it would just be cool to sit in front of it and use the arcade controls to play different PC and console games. Also, could console controllers or keyboards and mouse be connected wired/wirelessly?
@@antiWhiteism777 I play PS4 on mine all the time - it’s especially fun for playing the ladder in fighting games online. I wire my internet into my room and into the cabinet to make sure I have a great connection.
@@antiWhiteism777 you can pretty much do whatever you want but wireless stuff connected to the PC inside is also totally easy and viable
@@_Tizoc_--- I'm not a tech guy, do you do videos showing how to set things up?
@@antiWhiteism777 i would be willing to do videos explaining anything i just need specific requests of what you want like “how to play ps4 on a vewlix” or “playing pc on a vewlix” let me know what you want and I’ll make videos

I'm loving the orange diamond layout. Been looking around for the orange diamond control panel just for the USB port. I checked out your listed sources and they have the cabs in stock but I'd feel like an idiot to ask them just for the controller panel lol. Would you recommend anyone for this request.
I think you can ask Game Saru or KC about this no problem.
@@_Tizoc_ Will do, I'll message both of them and hope for the best
Hey, I was wondering if I add the SFV control panel to my diamond blue how do I connect the usb board to the IO? do I need extra wiring cables? or do I need a new harness? or what connector do I need? sorry, very lost and haven't seen the inside of an orange cab.
I can take a look!
I've never encountered that. on smb game and watch the enemies are sometimes fading in and out when there are too many, but on Zelda game and watch if too many of them are on the screen and firing a weapon, it lags. but this happens on all of my emulators though. I guess it's good enough, there was never any lag on the og nes way back when I played this.
What all would you need to hookup a PS5 to a diamond black?
Are there not videos about this? If not, I could definitely make one.
@@_Tizoc_ been searching for a couple days. If you do, that would be amazing!

How much did you get your orange for?
like 3k at the time maybe a bit less I cant remember maybe 2.5k thats the range they usually go for. It was pretty standard 3k for most of the time theyve been available and i was one of the first collectors to have them in the us. at first people were uneasy to upgrade from blues because of the new IO.
Cool upload. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, excellent video, if I only want to play consoles and PC, I connect it directly to the brook, right? I do not need anything else. This is only if I want everything to work on both systems. By the way, does external USB also work on consoles?
just for if you want to use the original harness for the cabinet
I have one TTX4 with SFV... but offline and i can't play it. Can you help me? Thanks!

So a Naomi Universal is not a Candy Cab? It doesn’t have a solid body
This is actually something people argue about a lot and I am in the camp that it is not a Candy. It’s also 31k only so to me that’s two strikes against it. It kind of occupies a liminal space between the Candy era of multi cabs and the era of the vewlix / Taito type x /Lindbergh / noir / HD Candy era cabs.
Hmm. Never seen any posts arguing against it as a candy. What about the New Net City, released after the Naomi Universal? It's essentially the same cabinet that was released later but is a trisync monitor supporting all arcade resolutions? Both are listed on Hard--Candy website under the Sega section of candies, which is the most definitive candy cab site I know of.
This is an awesomely informative video - I’ve always wondered how versus setups worked!
I really appreciate the view! I’ve never seen this information anywhere digestible so I figured I’d share.

Used to work for Round 1 and working on this cabinet was a beauty. Always loved working on it and admiring the cabinet. To me it was the perfect modern pcb cabinet.
Couldn't agree more! The only one more coveted in my opinion are the Magi Dead high tops
i know this is late to ask but i live by a round 1 do you think they would sell me the cabinet and a game board?
Hello, what if you connect a CPS-2 or any other 15khz PCB? Do you encounter any sort of issue with the video signal being sent to both cabs? Thank you!!
15khz should be easy with this amp!
I tried getting a vewlix from KC but he dodges questions and answers everything with dont worry we can sort it out later. Inspires no confidence and I really dont know how he sells stuff. And I'm local so fortunate to have the auction close by to buy any machine at good prices.
Im not into captains because the prices alway end up crazy, are you happy with those transactions?
@@_Tizoc_ I used to buy from them like ten years ago, sometimes I could get a beat up cab with neo geo or whatever for 50 to 100 bucks. Now prices are super high. Candies were 400 and also you can tell the good stuff is gone already and in collectors houses but you can get lucky sometimes.
My man, they sold you condom...
