About the only thing WRONG with this boss fight is Eggman's line mixes (seriously who mixed them?). The Dragoon is a really imposing machine with over a dozen different attacks. And how fast you win is entirely under your control. There are very few attacks where you can't make progress. Many of the attack timings are super tight which encourages replay to learn the timing for each opening and if you can keep your boost active long enough without getting hit, you can get free hits on the Dragoon. And what about this Eggman theme!? Also, when you beat the Dragoon and Sonic is just oozing that "too cool for school drip".

I will say although I like BM's alarms, I wish they would have still used the original klaxon alarm. The buzzer-type alarm is OK, but it feels more like a simple fire alarm than a facility-wide evacuation alarm.

How did we get from Unleashed, to Generations, two really good themes, to Forces? One of the biggest downgrades to a boss I’ve seen in Sonic.

For music, I'd prefer this one as Unleashed sounds more muffled,

The fact this improved version can not only overtake Sonic while he’s running near straight ahead, but maintain such a distance as he boosts is a testament to the capabilities of this machine. It can not only target him reliably enough with all of its attacks to pose a consistent challenge, but flat out channel the Time Eater’s ability to warp space and time to completely alter the fight. This means it can compensate for part of its new modular design taking sufficient damage with a different form of combat. This thing is a legitimate threat, a true pinnacle of both boss design, and Eggman’s mad science. Then forces said “hey, check this out.” And absolutely defiled it with a fight that ends in like two minutes with quick and easy ‘shape-in-hole’ patterns. No I won’t let this go, this is one of my favorite bosses ever.

I like the changes from Unleashed to here! Fewer strings and more breakbeats signify a faster battle at slightly lower stakes. Basically a "daytime version" of the original Egg Dragoon!
