Not that I am trying to “bring you back” but at least in the case of the Bortas the ship is not really a reskin. She IS a Fiji only waaaaaay beefier with thirty millimeter plate all around, and at tier six! So needless to say…. She nasty. Thanks for the comment!

I did consider the engine speed because of just how sluggish the Bortas is but I am strange about the rudder shift time on my cruisers especially. I may step out of my comfort zone and try it that way soon. Thanks for the support subasteve2169!

I do get the sinking feeling that the Bortas is going to catch a nurf in the next couple updates. But, maybe all of the times I see it get dev struck whenever someone goes broadside will keep that at bay. Thanks for the comment!

Agreed! Even with all of the new cruisers that have been released since the Suzuya has been out it remains one of the most dangerous fire-starting cruisers, and one of my favorites to use to this day. Every time I am in a Battleship, and I see one on the enemy team I try to delete it immediately. Thanks for the comment michaellambeth!

I would say, for the most part, just about any special event commander will be either slightly or markedly better than standard commanders. (Kinda makes sense since most players will end up paying for them with their own money.) Although, with Cheshire's unique skill 'Bounce Right Back' she is particularly strong for the thicker armored British light cruisers. If light cruisers are your thing, I would recommend considering picking her up when the Azura Lane commanders come back around. Thanks for watching and for the comment! See you out there! o7

I do not have the Yogumo so I can't personally compare, but I can say, that playing a ship to its strengths is really what is the main point here. Attempting to make this into a gunboat main is akin to bringing a knife ta gunfight. She may be decent in the artillery department but with how much damage the torpedoes dish out I would rather focus on that aspect of the ship myself. As I said in the video, to each their own. I won't hate on your chioces.

⁠​⁠@@BUCKSHOTBUKYplaying a ship for his strength means playing hayate as a gunboat, top4 HE dpm, strongest HE alpha, top5 HP pool, his the king of 1v1 situation. Trying to use hayate as a torpboat is a shame with his abyssal reload of 153s when yogumo reload 1min faster with the exact same torpedoes. Having good damage torps doesn’t mean being a good torpboat, smaland have 10k torps and it’s still the best torpboat at the tier

While the Hayate is a good gun boat with hard hitting torpedoes, that does not make her the best tier VIII gun boat to choose from. The Kitakaze, Delny, Neustrashimy and even the new-to-the-game Lushun will defeat the Hayate more often than the other way around in a stand up gun fight. Not to mention, even with smoke there are plenty of destroyers you will meet at tier VII, VIII and legendary with sonar and radar that will make you regret bringing and relying on smoke. Again, just my humble opinion and a preferred play style. I don’t think any one way is the wrong way to play unless that doesn’t suit the individual using the ship. Using the build I have just means that I don’t play her as a gun boat main. To each their own my guy. Thanks for the comment and the support! See you out there! o7

Given the caliber of the guns, I am surprised at just how much armor these 380mm guns will punch through. However, when I sit and think about it, the French battleship Richelieu might be able to give the Veneto a run for its money when it comes to the ability to penetrate armor at tier VII.

I'm not really clear on what you are asking me here. Perhaps the Veneto has SAP instead of HE in the PC version and that is what you are asking? I am not really sure about the PC stats for ships. What a shame. Perhaps if the Graf Spee had turtleback armor, it would be more of a pain in the rear to deal with. Maybe that is why the Devs decided to stray away from the historical armor scheme. Thank you for the comment glamrockfoxy3962!

It is fair to say, that on average I would agree with you, Hollywood. However, in the instance shown in this particular match, I think it was a better tactical decision for my division mate and myself to stick together, seeing how there was a CV and the Yudachi has pretty much useless AA. Keeping my fellow DD alive and able to spot and continuously send torpedoes was more important than spreading out, seeing how we had a CV of our own to assist in spotting the enemy. @@BUCKSHOTBUKY honestly it worked this time and glad it did, but I’ve seen too many DDs go to one cap and assist in no spots and even CVs tend to focus on the side of the map they spawn on. When you title a video intelligent DD tactics, it gives off the impression that this how it should be played and as you even stated that is not common/average gameplay. If your goal is to help educate the player base your title is misleading, but if your goal is clicks and follows then more power to you and I’ll move on and view others. Also do you have any Tier 8 or Legendary gameplay?

@HollywoodBush No Teir 8 or Legendary ships posted yet, but I do have some footage that just needs to be put through the editing process. And as far as this game that you have commented on, as an average, I would agree with you that two Destroyers in one capture point is probably a bad idea and can result in a quick trip back to port. However, as I stated in the video, my division mate and I worked out a plan before the match started and continued to communicate as situations developed (We had even discussed splitting up). I will say, I never said, "this is the only DD tactic that you should employ." or "all other methods of using a DD are dumb." I simply said for this particular build, ships used and situation we found ourselves in this was the best course of action that was available at the time. (At least to us when the game was unfolding.) I do appreciate the comment and hope that you choose to continue to do so whenever you see something I've done or said that is questionable, this makes me grow as a content creator. I am sorry the video is so rough at times, I have noticed this as well. This may be the best quality video I can currently upload. I am not sure if the image is pixilated because of the shared internet I have to use when uploading, if it is because the software I am using is not as good as say, Adobe Premiere Pro, or if the fact that I have an Xbox One S but not a 4k capable TV, so my settings won't allow me to record in 4k. I am working on a solution, looking into different software and on how to alter the file type before I upload. However, this is all new to me and everything is a learning experience. I am working on improvements every chance I get. I just ask that my viewers be understanding while I iron out the kinks in my channel. Thank you for your patience and support!
