This country is totally screwed. The speculators are sitting on enough vacant housing to solve the problem. The problem is that housing crash will wipe out a lot of people's nest egg. Egg get devalued the amount of money available for federal coffers goes down. The capital gains tax rise was put on government by IMF. They also want GST increased. Government needs to raise taxes to keep there borrowing cost as low as possible

As a senior I can tell you Canada is toast. This clown sends me a carbon rebate of 150 dollars every six months yesterday I got my quarterly property tax and it went from 1497.00 every three months to 2000. An extra 2000 a year. Groceries are too expensive, gas prices are nuts, vehicle and house insurance has gone up and on my crappy income he has raised my income tax. In my opinion, this man should be charged with treason. I doubt I will be able to hold on to my home much longer, maybe an immigrant will get it .

Spending good tax payer money on bad. An immigrant agency called work asking my employer if he's hiring immigrants. Can they not go and drop off a resume like the rest of Canadians or does the taxpayer have to pay for that help as well. First of all you have 1 million a year plus all the extra illegals still crossing over from the states through Quebec border crossing at a cost 2400 per month or 28000 a year, plus free health care, times that by million plus, that translates into tax increases for Canadians in the double digits now every year for years to come, I know because I went through this in the 80's, first it starts off as a tax assessment on you property and house if prices have gone up, your assessed at a higher tax rate, then your city council start putting your property taxes up 10% or more every year until you have reached a point where you can no longer afford the increases and that's when you sell your house and move into a rental unit, well this is not only not fair to the home owner but also not fair to the immigrants, refugees or asylum seekers because then you have too many people looking at getting the same job and not enough jobs to satisfy the amount of people coming into the country. And right now our economy is not really growing, as a matter of fact businesses are closing because of low sales and other factors. This is part of the plan, the great reset, WEF agenda or the great taking as some call it brought to you by you know who. Its called take the wealth away from the people and have them all move into high density housing rental units. His plan seems to be working at the expense of the people that live in this country and don't forget that there is an election coming up next year and if you like his plan you can vote accordingly.
