It's a side story within the main plot, told through PDAs that we can find, I think it's a very interesting way of telling stories. What I've done is put the PDAs in chronological order (spoilers): Like the Aurora and Degasi, the Mercury II spacecraft was shot down by the Quarantine Enforcement Platform, but it was not destroyed thanks to the captain's evasive maneuver, although it needed to make an emergency landing on planet 4546B. However, although the ship was repaired, while they were on the planet several of its crew members were infected with the kharaa bacteria, and when the captain tried to leave the planet again, this time the ship was destroyed.

@@Curatoral the scariest part of the ghosts roar to me the fact that its haunting. The reapers roar is scary, sure, but the ghost feels like something that would keep you up at night. Its something that for some reason just makes me feel a primal fear. The reapers roar doesn't do that to me.

​@@Curatoralwhen I went to the aroura I went in fully prepared to get all the necessary items and other things done in one trip so that I did not need to revisit the aurora. The funny thing is I did not run in to a single reaper leviathan during in my antire trip.
