I’ve been to multiple RV shows to narrow my purchase decision between a few Cougar and Montana models. I saw so many quality issues, from crooked cabinet, trim loose, screws missing, draw bottom dropped out (rep said ‘some 🤓 put the manuals in there’ like that’s a reasonable excuse for not holding 2 pounds of paper), wall covering with the edges rough cut, TV mount off kilter, I left with the realization Keystone does zero QC before shipping.

We looked at a Cougar 23ML yesterday. I saw so many things wrong that were obvious. That scares me. How many more things are wrong that I couldn't see? Pretty sad. We really liked the model, but..... Ain't gonna buy it....

I came across your channel as we’re researching our first RV. Keystone Cougars came up because you can get a King sized bed in them. I feel like I really need to have one independently inspected if we go the route of a Cougar. I guess I didn’t realize a 3rd party RV repair could do warranty work.

keystone 29fkd21- This one tows horribly even after upgrading truck to a 3/4 ton. Feels like your dragging a boat anchor at times, not to mention the frequent swaying that the 3/4 ton absorbs somewhat compared to the 1/2 ton.

RV manufacturers make it hard to purchase a camper with confidence. I’m interested in getting into the lifestyle, but am I making a mistake by purchasing a huge headache? Is this going to be a huge money pit???

I love that you showed the framing above the door. Helped me put a ton. Did they repair the dpor or did you just do it . I feel like i shpuld just do it so i know its rugged

I just took my 2024 keystone bullet out for the 1st run appox 60 miles round trip and the pocket door ripped out of the wall.

Previously had a 2014 Thor class C with dinette/closet slide. Great camper, no issues whatsoever. We thought we would upgrade to a 2023 29BH 5th wheel. The layout was nice and we have adult children. Thought this camper would last a long time because our neighbor has a cougar 5th wheel(15 years old and still going). We’ve already had a leak an multiple issues with this camper. Definitely not the quality of the Thor. Keystone does not stand behind their products. We’re basically on our own. I installed a slide topper and put a weatherstrip wiper along the bottom of the leaky slide and so far it seems to be dry. But, like I said, Keystone will not help us out at all. No way we should have a leak on a camper that’s less than one year old.

If there was a employee stamp when job was completed and their were inspectors on the job, this crap would stop. But they are hiring hacks who really dont know anything about anything. My Rockwood 8299BS is a complete sh&t show...Had to rework the whole unit myself!!

I bought a brand new 24Cougar25MLE . Paid cash. Took it in for repairs in June after 3 months . Told them of a major water leak and a bad smell under kitchen sink. They evidently blew it off as no leak found and the smell was from the drain p-trap. You cannot smell it from the sink drain, only under the sink in the cabinet. Bought it back home and found the leak myself. It is under the shower. Water has leaked under the trailer into the bottom cover . Severe water damage spots and they are sweating. Smell is, I’m sure of it, stagnated water and mold/mildew. Getting runaround from the damn service department. I am retired and living in it. Which it is built for living year round

looking at 1;40 on the video I am shocked the wood was not cut correctly and not a single screw made it in straight?? Unless im not seeing it right? Looks shoddy!!!

They are not made very well and the best them up. Balance your tires if you have not! I had a Grand Design Transcend and it was very good in about 10-12k miles and three years of owning. Just got a Keystone 32BHS and certainly some shotty stuff I like fit and finish of GD better but this layout and no Schwintek slides won me over.

You are mistaken if you buy an RV and expect never to do general maintenance, even when new! Has it become a badge of honor to be wimpy about it? Did you inspect your purchase with an inspector? I did, and the issues were fixed.

They did renumber the sites. Site 65 is now 70 I believe. They've done alot of work in a year!

Like the idea of adding to the other door. Just find a location and screw in? screw size? pre drill? need to be tight door frame to hopefully hit a stud? Thanks for any advice

They are cheap as 😂 , go buy a Aussie or New Zealand made and see what it costs

Do you have a link for the gas struts in bedroom? That is first on my list for next week when we get ours. Also what/did you ever do anything with the stairs? We are not thrilled witht he carpet top and looking at doing a wood step tread

2024 Keystone Cougar Sport 2100RK. Picked up last 6/22, inaugural trip 6/28, found missing screws in cabinets, paper left in ac vents….but the biggest QUALITY & Safety issue, the dump valves are reversed grey empties black, black empties gray, normally not really a big issue, except this RV has TWO external sewer hookups, and this weekend we were not in a full hook up site, so we discovered this modern engineering marvel….at the dump station this morning….Not a happy camper…at all

I watched your 1st video of when you bought your cougar and what happened on the way home... thats crazy...i would have wanted to turn around before I made it home. Anyway i came to find your video because i was searching to find the download for a owners manual. My friend just bought a used 2008 cougar. Anyway i liked your video so much that i was looking forward to seeing others... but just a friendly heads up...for you on something ya might wanna check into is your 1, 2 and 3 videos there after are really distorted and blurry... just maybe someting you can fix or correct that will help you keep your viewers and gain more of them. I wish for you the best , have fun camping & stay safe.

Wow if i paid as much as you did for it i would have been furious...you got more patients than i have. I think i would have turned around took it back and demanded on a refund. For the amount you paid you shouldnt have to be doing so many fix ' its. Its like paying the full price for solid good quality and then finding out you just bought a thrown together wish washy builders.

In our 2023 Freedom Express 294BHDS, here's a list of what we did back to front: Removed "stand up" stair for more room in the back, took off 2 cabinet doors, built a frame, and added a fireplace with shiplap front, added a larger LG smart TV and had to remount the TV base, added a Lugun table base so now there are no legs under the dinette and it can swing left or right to get into the back of the trailer when the slide is closed, and painted the slide door into the front bathroom oyster white to match the upholestry, spent about 9 hours completely removing all the outside decals so they won't fade in the future. I like your shelf ideas!

I purchased a gulfstream 19csk just for me since I’m single and travel alone on the weekends when I’m not driving my semitruck. I’ve had it a few months and have had absolutely nothing wrong with it. After seeing all these videos of different manufacturers I’m glad I went with gulfstream they truly made sure everything was good before they sent it to a dealer. I’m actually not renewing my lease and gonna live in it full time

That is cool but they might want to get a lift kit and some heavy duty shocks put on that vehicle 😮

We were sold on getting the Cougar 260MLE but after watching your video and finding literally hundreds of complaints about the Cougar and other Keystone products, we decided definitely no. After MUCH research, we decided on a Brinkley 5th wheel. It does cost more than we originally wanted to spend, but from first hand knowledge of Brinkley owners we decided it’s worth the extra cost for a well built rig. I will never buy an rv expecting perfection, but hopefully the repairs and upkeep will be minimal. We are trading our 2016 Lance which has been an excellent trailer over the years with very few easily fixed issues. If the Brinkley is as good as our Lance was, I’ll be a very happy camper.

I just spent 47 grand on a brand new Forest River Vibe 34xl. It has taken me months to fix all the things I found wrong. First I contacted dealer but wait times and negotiating what they would and wouldn't do was exhausting. I build houses for a living so I have the basic knowledge to fix everything. For starters I had to replace the on-demand water heater I made the dealer give me a brand new one and I just installed it myself. I had to go through the whole rig pulling access panels to tighten up plumbing fittings everywhere even the drain under the shower was loose. I knew going in that I'd have to button up a few things but I was really dismayed at how little care was taken on the build of this rig. I do have everything the way I want it now and love the rv. I will say if I ever buy one again I will do a better job inspecting everything on the walkthrough. I didn't look hard enough because I couldn't imagine that the things I found would be wrong. It's just sad when you spend almost 50 grand. Unfortunately I think this is the norm across the board with these brands and price point.

Our floor has squeaks. Had it in came back with squeaks.

We bought a BRAND NEW 32BHS and had problems before we even got it home. It has only gotten worse since.

I found that condensation on the front window was really bad and that cavity would fill up with water

Isn’t keystone owned by Thor? We looked at some of their motorhomes. They were just trash. Most looked like they were home made. The fit and finish were worse than anything I’ve seen.

I've had so many problems with my cougar the first six months, they have no quality control at all especially for the money I paid for this unit. Keystone is horrible.

I’m looking at purchasing the 30BHS, should I look at a different model
