Sourgrass 4x4 Jeep Trail, In May, SNOW melt!!
Hey buddy, i just bought the same bender, but im looking to get the JD2 dies. Im seeing mixed reviews on which dies to buy. Some say the model 3 dies fit, some say they dont, and its the same with the model 32 dies. Would you happen to know which ones are the same as the woodward fab dies?
@@mavsfabshop I don’t believe the jd2 dies will fit. The rule that has worked for me is if it works for the Woodward fab it will work with the Amazon bender.
Theirs been a few comments about som le off brand stuff that works but I think their lost somewhere in this comment section or deleted by the guys who posted. I did a second video talking about using the bender, I also went over the exact dimensions of the bender and the die
@@TrailTime. gotcha. I was wondering because i had seen people saying different things
@@TrailTime. well, I guess it's time to grab a shovel and start digging lol
Bad ass rig by the way.
Do you have an IG account?
I do but I haven’t used it much.
I am already a fan even after 1 video!! I have built several rigs over my years and I am bored to tears with people building "kit" rigs! I love your use of junkyard and scrapyard pieces parts! It takes imagination, knowledge, experience, patience, etc., etc. to build and I am excited to watch yours! My last build is a custom framed/axled/drive trained Willys CJ3A without major body mods on 35s. Still leaf springs and is an amazing rig. My next is almost identical to yours: '66 CJ5, LQ9, TH400, 14B, D60, 205 doubler, however I want to stretch it to a CJ6 and keep a soft top. Thank you for the awesome vids!
@@kevindegroff7364 that’s awesome! I really looked for a Chevy Dana 60 but couldn’t pull the trigger on the price there going for. I’ll probably do a newer 60 and re tube it to be a passenger drop within a year or so.
0:54 “without burning my house down” is how I should have finished that sentence!
Jks are the reason Fordyce is as easy as it is now but that's OK everyone deserves to wheel it
@@dwaynemartin5174 yea the 4 door jk and Jl are crazy capable. I still need to earn it in my 2 door jk most of the time.
I think I missed it, where did you say you got the middle frame sections?
@@brianmoffat6672 the parts truck was a 2001 2500hd Silverado
@@TrailTime. oh so u cut the frame as well as taking the engine and tranny nice
$850 now
I actually just checked the link in the description and it’s $220 and ready to ship.
@@TrailTime. oh thanks for checking. I just went on the swag website.
Really enjoying your videos!
It was, it’s been 3 years since I was on Fordyce last. I always struggled a bit in my short wheelbase Jk. This time was great.
Looked like a good time!!
Was there any specific pattern to torquing down the bolts? Thank you
I thought I put a graphic with the torque pattern in the video. It’s basically like a cylinder head, (from the center working outward) www.wranglerforum.com/threads/3-6-cam-cap-torque-pattern.2382067/#lg=thread-2382067&slide=0
Nice video! I love the idea of putting tools on engine stands!
Where would I get a 1 3/4” od die?
Nice!
greetings from Pontassieve province of Florence Italy I have a 4x4 Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 off-road vehicle with a 1.3 LT m13a petrol engine from 2001 all original that I use for off-roading on dirt farm and forest roads used by logging companies to clear timber with their skidders and forwarders and forestry trucks with cranes and then I use it to do agricultural work such as transporting olives and garden produce to my house! (my 4x4 Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 van is a good off-road vehicle and due to its small size we go where larger 4x4 off-road vehicles don't go!)
That’s awesome!
@@TrailTime. Thanks greethings frome Florence Italy do you like my Suzuki Jimmy 4x4?
@@lmalesci yeah it’s awesome
Bought the Amazon bender but it did not fit the Woodward fab die. Amazon bender pin is 25mm and the die has a 24.9mm diameter hole.
@@outdoorgrowin 0.00394 inch off….you must be working for Boeing.
@@outdoorgrowin I’d recommend taking a little bit of the black oxide coating off of the internal diameter of your die, since it is obviously a bit too thick
@@outdoorgrowin sounds like you could put a little bit of emery cloth work on the inside of that die.
Fantastic video, thank you for your help!!!
Excellent work, great explanation!!!
I’m glad it helped in some way.
Just came across your channel, thanks for the great video, will definitely work my way through your whole series!
Great explanation, i really like ur channel. Keep makin killer content🤘
@@maxrogers762 i really appreciate it. Im going to be getting more serious with the quality of the videos from now on. Rob

Fellow GSD Man, Hell yea 🤙🏻
Hell yea 🤙🤙
Just got everything I need, built a stand etc etc. went to install hydraulic with the machined swag clamp and it doesn’t fit the ECOTRIC bender. F**K
What model clamp did you order? What part of the clamp isn’t fitting? I put all the measurements in this video ruclips.net/video/zRFfZOhE4og/видео.htmlsi=1YMi6ne5aywjuS_A
Let me know if I can answer any questions
@@TrailTime. JD2 model 32 clamp. The thread in bungs diameter is too large for the top/bottom plates
Not sure my first reply went through. I got the JD2 model 32 clamp. The diameter of the thread in bungs is too large for the top/bottom plates of the bender.
The clamp I ordered was the WFB2 for the Woodward Fab bender. Did you weld the clamp up yet? The swag off-road guys are really good to deal with. I’m sure they can swap it out for you.
This deserves more views
Definitely win some and lose some. RUclips is random sometimes.
Would it work on 18 gauge 1" stainless tubing?
@@hellapellanyc6465 18g is like 0.0478” wall thickness. Most of the dies manufacturers start their Recommended Wall Thickness Range at 0.058” and go up to .188-.250 or solid bar depending on the tube diameter.
@@TrailTime. Gotcha, so it could kink easy I think is what your pointing at. I am trying to make a bow railing.
I wish I Could find the dies that cheap. Everywhere I'm looking they are closer to $400
@@SGTCap1980 www.jmrmfg.com/products/jmr-raceline-die here’s a great link to American made dies starting at $135.00
@TrailTime. 1 3/4 6" 120degree is still $340. 240 degree is 475. It was worth checking out though
@@SGTCap1980 dang. I did remember a comment by a guy who commented about a good price for some dies. I’ll see if it’s still here somewhere.
@@TrailTime.please do! Finding a reasonable die is my issue right now too!
Hell yeah that's me with the straw hat. Badass rig man can't wait to see you again out there
You guys were awesome. I snapped both my front axle shafts that day. I’ll be in slick rock this weekend and probably on the rubicon the last week of September.

😂 it is now!!! I’ll never un hear that!!
I was lucky and grabbed one the Amazon benders on you recommendation after your video. I really appreciate your bringing it to our attention. It's everything you said it was. I also grabbed a couple of used dies off of Ebay for a reasonable price. I haven't finished setting it up, getting ready for winter here, but I am modeling it after JC Custom Metal Fab's on here. Thanks, a lot for you time and effort.
@@jake-hy2zb that’s great. For the price it is definitely hard to beat. I never used it with the mechanical lever but the air over hydraulic has been great. I’ve all ready used the engine stand for a engine. I’m glad I used the engine stand for space savings. Thanks for the update.
Great breed to train.

Haha, GMRS radio works well with a 15.3” antenna….The 6.5 Creedmoor round made the antenna the perfect length. I just had to drill and tap the primer pocket to the same pitch as the antenna end then seat a new bullet in it.
