Western Sydney Airport - Sunday Sunrise
This is actually relaxing
Gooood music choice!!😅❤❤❤❤❤❤
was this aus? in Canberra we had massive hailstones and a bunch of trees fell
@nqtsoweird yes, was taken in St Marys western Sydney looking west towards the Blue Mountains.
أين هذه
it was hectic, many thunderclaps
I was told there has been long delays with this project.
Where’s the audio???
Is that an international airport. ????Looks like a regional airport in Wagga Wagga. Have they seen what Cambodia and Vietnam is building????We wait overv40 years and get this small airport and costs billions…… a joke…..
Only 13 airbridges? surely it will outgrow itself ver quickly
Why don’t they build 10 gates rather than 7?
Good video, thanks for sharing Andrew!
Where is the rest of the building bunnings is bigger typical Australia can see the future.
Yes, its smaller than I thought....
And no second runway until 2062😮
Wonderful views my dear friend!!! it will be a great airport once completed.
Looks really small. Like a regional.
If you have the means, go and have an up close look and you may be impressed. This is only stage one built with tax payers money . Stage two will be paid for with airport profits along with any additional upgrade plans when or if required.
@@ronvorbach1464That's what they said about Avalon airport...
Aah yes, a nice shiny new airport in the middle of what will always be a turd - Sydney's Western Sluburbs.
Yet will be busier than Adelaide’s airport from day 1
Mascot was an out of the way clearing in a paddock when first flight and that was the basically the start of the twentieth century . Now it has reached full capacity and unable to expand . Now we are in the twenty first century and hopefully this will serve us for another 125 years. Like Mascot this airport will upgrade as time requires.
Huh? Single runway only? Pretty uninspiring architecture.
It’s the most advanced runway in the world so can handle more capacity than most. That said, the airport is just the first stage and is designed to expand ahead of demand.
Great song and really well sung! Thank you!
This airport will have lots of automation so dont think there will be much job opportunities?
Direct and indirect ,A lot of employment will follow but just not all at the airport itself. Build a port of any type and industry follows in turn so does residential . 100 years from now is the future of all Western Sydney thanks to the foresight of the planners for this incredible under taking. All these video clips will be archives of history . Even your comment will be included in that if you elect not to delete it.
Hope there’s plenty of parking multi story perhaps??
As the design is intend for maximum green, I keep asking with out a reply how much area is allocated for parking allowing how many spaces. Local shopping centres appear to have far more parking provisions and this airport will need far more then shopping centres . They will need room for a minimum 300 taxis alone and one plane can absorb more then 300 taxis. So you have a fair question.
Great video! Good to see the lights on too. Well done.
Thanks, The terminal is getting really close to completion.....both inside and out.
Where's the gate for an A380?
Im sure they'll fit it in some where!
@@andrewedgar380 None with 3 bridges. That is fundamental to board a 380
@@niranjandesilva6591 ahhhh yeah good point🤔 Maybe we put that to the airport and see what their responses is.
@@andrewedgar380 Yes, I did. They could not comment. It is technically possible to board with two bridges (one on each floor). That's not going be too much fun given there are around 500 passengers. When the A380 was first announced all the big airports in the world were scrambling to upgrade (even Sydney) to have a 3rd bridge. This is supposed to be world call airport who's design started well after the A380 was operational.
@@andrewedgar380 I did! They didnt have an answer!!!! Technically they can board an A380 with two bridges, one for each floor! However, nearly 500 passengers so good luck!!! When the A380 was announced, airports all over the world were scrambling to upgrade their airports with 3 aerobridges for the gate. WSI design started long after the A380 was in use.
Hi -Thanks for posting this update as I have been following the ins & outs of Sydney's "New Airport" since the late 1990s when Local & Federal Politicians started to seriously talk about the reality that Kingsford-Smith was no longer fit for purpose (Iam talking about the late 1990s)...The sad fact that Western Sydney isn't going to be operational until Mid-Late 2026 is an excellent reflection that this nation is not being governed by rational, pragmatic and forward thinking "homosapiens"...In a more rational world this thing would have been approved, designed & build in less than a decade...Iam also very happy to see that a railway terminal was integrated into the design from the beginning instead of being an "after thought"...👍
Quite unintelligible, no geographical clues or signage.
Is there a railway to the basement of the airport or is going to be another Tullamarine cock up?
From what I can work out the station is positioned there for future expansion. The second terminal id meant to be positioned on the other side with the station between the two.
there is a sydney metro line being built concurrently, and is supposed to open at the same time as the airport and M12 as i understand it
Great job on the video.............The scope of the project really comes through. Fantastic addition to Sydney and long overdue
Many thanks!
Not many gates with jet bridges.
Only one runway?
For the time being yes, a second in parallel is planed in the future.
Where is this please?
M7 Mamre road Sydney Australia
Well designed to service for more then 100 years into the future. I only hope the future generations appreciate this magnificent undertaking and all the workers who are and have endured the extreme weather conditions as well. Thank you and all the other drone pilots that have kept us glued to our seats from the start. The competition between drone pilots has in itself given us better then expected results and made you pilots so very professional now. Well done and thank you again.
I wonder, at the M7 interchange, will there be an elizabeth drive off and on ramps too?
Looks light that whole intersection is in for a big change. From what I can see you be able to go from the M7 to the M12 and Elizabeth Drive. Not too sure about M12 to Elizabeth Driver though.
The airport looks finished but there are still 3 more years to go
Looks 2/3rds finished
Nice bit of director’s cameo by the crow
It made a few more appearances and close calls with the drone....not the best situation to be in. Didn't really want to be the first one to have a have a bird strike at the new airport
Great perspective, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the great comment @bjbloger
You call that building an airport.Get a live.Who designed this.Expanding population and you build a little tin factory.
It coming together really well. Can't with to get out there and fly away to an exotic destination.
Politicians in Australia don't think beyond their noses. If this project was in Germany or Japan, they would have built two or three runways from the beginning.
There is a second runway already planned....and yes they should have built it already.
This has to be one of the best video updates of the airport yet,.. cheers 😊
@@tregeariansteve-o9685 thanks for your kind words, have a great day 👌
With winds yesterday ( Monday 2 -9-24 ) and planes being forced to fly elsewhere ,I bet this airport was very much on the minds of many as an alternative . Sydney travellers being sent to Melbourne or elsewhere. Roll on 2026 ,Sydney needs you urgently .
@@ronvorbach1464 was a little crazy at SYD yesterday on runway 25 😀
I think the original information office will be the site for plane spotting if any ones interested ,but I am only guessing. There appears no other location from what we see.
@@ronvorbach1464 yeah the experience centre would make a great pub 👌
@@andrewedgar380 Not a bad idea but I am sure there will be fountains in the airport lounges. Only what prices they will charge.
Great video! Thanks. Two kangaroos!
Yep, I hope that they get relocated before the opening day.
@@andrewedgar380 at least replaced with flying ones 😁
I think you have done a massive capture ,well done. Based on the parking of Mascot it appears insufficient consideration has been given to the parking area needed for this 24 hour airport as well as Taxis ,One aircraft can absorb up to 300 Taxis and with the larger aircraft they could need even many more Taxis . Just an old retired cabbies observation.
Yeah not too sure about the carpark, cab rank design. It was a green field site and it may not be the best design, I guess time will tell.
Anyone spot the Kangaroo in the video!
How can you call an airport with only 7 aerodecks a goddam world class airport
I guess time will tell.
It does look awfully small for a large international airport
Only 7 Aerobridges 🤷♂️
and Doesn't seem to have any gate with 3 bridges for a 380
Starting to look pretty complete! Hopefully they can bring forward the opening date from 2026! Great photography
Thanks !
Great video!
Thank you.
Awesome work! Keep them coming, pls
Thanks, will do!
great footage!
