Boat Flipping Bass Graceful Style with Some Help
Boat flipping is so graceful when I have Winston with me. 😂😂 But I have to do it cautiously to keep him away from the hooks. Love taking him along with me every chance I can, but definitely have to be aware and cautious on many actions.
When you take your dog or kids fishing do you have to take extra precautions for those hooks? Winston just gets so excited and wants to pounce on the bass it’s a task keeping him clear 🤣👍🏻
This was a solid bass on one of my fav Little River Lure Lady crankbaits. Lots more on those cool products coming soon😉
This catch and location was pinned on my FishAngler App 👌🏻. Be sure to checkout that amazing resource and fishing fun tool, see link on www.troynortho...

Fishing Transducer mount for your sonar that doesn’t use your battery! Wow! Keep it simple!

I’ve always liked/preferred the idea of the manual operated secondary transducer mount. I’ve tried other brands in the past and they had design issues that were very awkward to me. Now, before you give me some crap about digging in the wrong bushes, here’s the story. I got snagged up and I was getting hot, there were some water skiers skiing not far away turning their boat and creating big wake, the wind was picking up and its shallow chunky rock there. I started to pull the boat in to get it and I just was getting frustrated. I hadn’t broke off a spinnerbait in ages so I...

    Backing that far in the water, you back wheels are submerged so you obviously have to step in the water to get in your vehicle. Do you load the same way, that deep, in the winter time?

    • @troynorthoutdoors1197
      @troynorthoutdoors1197 8 месяцев назад

      Yes, not all boats load the same way. My previous Nitro required the trailer to be in the water much less, this one requires it to be deeper. If I don't put the trailer that deep I have to really gun it to get it up on the trailer and I rather not do that I'd rather keep it easy. I don't want to winch it at all as I want the boat to do all the work and not be thrusting too hard to possibly knock my truck out of gear or hurt anything. This is the depth for this trailer that works best for the 2023 Nitro Z20. Yes I dont mind in the winter. I'm not stepping in very deep water and it depends on the ramp as some ramps I don't have to step in at all. Thanks for your comment and great question. very good analogy

    How’s that new nitro performing,any issues, on that 5”main controller screen,seats,carpet, etc,I’m still on the sidelines,nitro z20 & Phoenix 721. Nitro is cheaper in price ??

    • @troynorthoutdoors1197
      @troynorthoutdoors1197 11 месяцев назад

      My Nitro been fantastic. Mine was a special order and I do think you get a little better quality doing that but maybe that’s just a hunch because every Nitro boat I’ve ordered has been special order and they’ve all been great. I do have another video on my page do a walk-through on the boat if you’ve seen that or not, you might want to check it out. Basically, no major issues just a couple minor ones that I addressed myself. The carpets been great. I did not want to see deck for personal reasons I like Carpet even in the cockpit. Seats are extremely comfortable and extremely well-made. Performance has been impressive. It took a little bit to get used to this model as I was running in 898 before this, so they are totally different hulls and it took a little bit to learn its sweet spot. The the nitro tender run a tad cheaper in price but that’s not because of lack of quality. That’s the way the business is structured. Any issues I’ve ever had with any of mine over the years I’ve seen other guys have with all the other manufacturers. That being said, I highly recommend one. Oh, and for the record a lot of guys gripe about the trailer and I will admit the trailers a little noisy but it performs just fine. 👌🏻

    I think each line has its advantages. I love throwing 8lb braid with an 8lb fluo leader when using a wacky worm or a weightless fluke. I tried several different lines for those, and it seems iv had the most success with that combo. It could be in my head, but i guess it's all about confidence. Great video btw. I can tell you are passionate about the sport.

  • @daveengstrom9250

    We use braid for the "feel". In the midwest it is unlikely you fish deep. I would guess 50 feet or less. Out west, the mountains, or the ocean we fish 300 feet or more for halibut, 150 for walleye or lake trout. Braid is the thing.

      Well, like I said there’s really no right or wrong. It’s all a matter of opinion honestly. This is what I prefer. I’ve tried the other way and I’m more comfortable this way. So again, I think it’s all just a matter of what’s comfortable and the confidence level for some people. I’m just giving alternative approach if someone is interested and receptive. Thank you for your comment, respectfully taken 👌🏻

    Yeah you can catch a Bass on a zebco 33 with 10 pound mono. I wouldn’t dare fish a tournament with that gear. You can also kill a deer with your automobile but it’s not very optimal. Grass and Braided line is like PB and J son. Wanna really blow your mind crank bait with #20 Braid (suffix 131) it’s phenomenal!

    • @troynorthoutdoors1197
      @troynorthoutdoors1197 11 месяцев назад

      I’ve fished with Braid. I’m not saying I never have done it. I’m just saying it’s not for me. I’ve fished for years with monofilament and since copolymer came out and it’s phenomenal to me. I can feel everything I need and with my good rods it performs great But I respect your comment, thanks for chiming in buddy.

    • @troynorthoutdoors1197
      @troynorthoutdoors1197 11 месяцев назад

      Oh, and for the record, I have one many tournaments on monofilament and copolymer only. A lot of them basically just monofilament. And no not just your buddy tournament where there’s 20 boats for fun. But again I respect everybody’s comment and I get what you’re saying. I’m glad that works for you. Thanks again.

    I agree 100% , great video and opinion . I have been a Trilene XL or Bass Pro Excel guy for decades . The last big spool I bought of XL was bad , broke off again and again on many different rods and situations . On a whim I bought KastKing on Amazon and it is by far my favorite Mono . It is supple , strong , not much memory . The only bitch I have is the spool is not user friendly . I am not plugging for KastKing , we all have our favorite lines .
