LBSC 'Ayesha' (built 1922) at Rugby 8th September 2024
'Ayesha' is a 2 1/2 inch gauge locomotive designed and built by the famous model engineer Lillian "Curly" Lawrence (1883-1967) who was known by the pen-name "LBSC".
The performance of this revolutionary coal-fired locomotive astonished the model engineering community in 1924 competing against Henry Greenly and WJ Bassett-Lowke's 2-8-2 'Challenger' in an competition known as the "Battle of the Boilers". The smaller 4-4-2 with a coal fired fire-tube boiler matched the performance of the much larger meths fired water-tube boiler locomotive.

Mobile phone footage of my visit to the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway (La'al Ratty) on the 11th July 2022. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a 15 in (381 mm) minimum gauge heritage railway in Cumbria, England. It is affectionately known as the La'al Ratty by the local community. The 7-mile (11.3 km) line runs from Ravenglass to Dalegarth Station near Boot in the valley of Eskdale, in the Lak...

Model Railway Shunting Puzzle (Tuxertalbahn)
Просмотров 3052 года назад
Based on the well known "Inglenook Shunting Puzzle" rules and the waybill systems developed by other modellers I have created a card based puzzle to optimise the operational interest of my 1:87 scale model railway (H0e scale). I fill the available siding space on the layout with 27 uniquely numbered vehicles and have a laminated card to represent each vehicle. The cards are laminated business c...
Tuxertalbahn Model Railway (improved)

This is a second attempt of a video on my model railway following on from my first attempt a few weeks ago. I built this model railway over the past 18 months, inspired by visits to various narrow gauge railways in Austria. It is H0e scale (3.5mm/ft on 9mm track) and the baseboard measures approximately 8ft by 2.5ft. The station is named Lanersbach, after a real village in the Tyrolean Alps, ho...

The station is named Lanersbach, after a real village in the Tyrolean Alps, however it is similar in name alone and very different to its namesake (the real Lanersbach does not possess a...
How many feet of 2 1/2" gauge track is there at this club?

Hello Jennifer Wonderful! what a lovely little layout. Thanks
cute little eisenbahn
That was sweet, Jennifer. Cheers!
Very nice, Jenny!
Narrow Gauge
A fantastic railway, went on it last a few years ago now, but still one of my favourites. Thanks for sharing, looks like you had glorious weather on the day of travel.
Went past there once, with a steam railtour. Never got the chance to go back, though.
Cracking video! Some well thought shots there....loved the one from inside the cafe
Great video! I appear quite a few times 🤣 was a great day!
It looked a bit damp!
Hi Jennifer - great job on the layout
Very impressive
Cool train layout 😎 looks awesome 👍
Pretty cool 👍🏻
I've never done an "Inglenook" but with 27 items of rolling stock, I imagine it would take a while to pick out a just a few, lol
A nice little video Jennifer, its been a very long time since I went to Austria (1982!) Although I did have a trip on the Ziller Am Zee (I think it was called??) narrow gauge Steam line and your layout reminds me a little of that trip. Great work!
Very nice! I spotted the chap with the model boat, and the lads with model planes in front of the chalet - at 2.38! Where did you find those? (In case you hadn't gathered from Jenny's channel - I fly model planes and I've been looking for models like that to go on the mountain I'm making! - - Nice gentle music, too.
Thank you for the comment. These figures are from the NOCH set (part number 15887) variously titled "RC hobbyists" or "RC Radio Control Modelers With Accessories 1/87 Scale Figures" I found them at Gaugemaster but they are also a few sources on ebay. I hope that helps.
@@jenniferhoughton6837 - Thanks - I'll have another search shortly.
Found them - got the last set, it seems!
Got them! Can't attach a photo!
