My air styler has a 1" barrel with a temperature dial. Mostly what I did before I used it was just hold the wig upside down, shake lightly then spray through the separated fibers with TressAllure wig wax a bit, let it dry then turn it right side up and put it on. I used the heat of my hands to keep sweeping it back from the face, to shape it, maybe lightly spritzed it in that swept back position. The air styler was mostly used to lift at the crown near the cap. From the front, if you just lift it straight back toward the crown repeatedly, it will naturally lift and fall to one side or another. You'll just have to decide where you want to part it. You just have to play with it, being careful of your lace front.

I kept her and ordered one in Velvet Cream. It's pretty and I've worn it a few times, but it's a bit dark for me at my age. I prefer lighter tones like in the Frosty Blonde HL so I may sell that one. It's a really nice wig, no question. I did trim some of the longer flippy nape layers and thinned both out below the mono top since this piece has a lot of hair. But, it's a keeper, no idea why TressAllure discontinued it so soon after release.

It sounds like you and I have very similar bio hair as far as color goes and I'm in my 60's, too. I'm wondering what color you would recommend in Jon Renau, Large Scarlett? Thanks for any recommendations for us large headed ladies!

@@nancyruckman5875 Depends on if you want a dark rooted wig or a non-rooted wig. My favorite neutral blonde in Jon Renau are 22F16 (or 22F16S8 if you want a root) or even 24B22, If you want a warmer blonde, a 14/26 would work. For blondes going gray, I do love Martini or a more gray color 39F38. What is good about jon Renau is they offer rooted versions as well as non-rooted versions of the same color. Just do a search for any of those colors and see if they look like one would suit you. Scarlett comes in lots of beautiful colors. Most average Jon Renau caps can adjust upwards to 23" in my opinion.

Thank you so much, Kim. I always wonder why such off-putting fragrances are in synthetic wig products. I do wear perfume, but these scented products would clash with anything, definitely not pleasant at all.

Thank you! The color is stunning. I've had it on Noriko, but it has a white shock of hair around the face. It is striking, but not what I want after this one.

I'm glad you found an affordable style. That is no easy task today! I also wish that some older brands would tame down the excessive permatease in their wigs and then, I would have more choices. Thank you for your support. I haven't purchased a wig since the one in this video, though I have my eye on a couple of the newer ones. If I do find the price I can tolerate, I'll review those as well.

I have never returned a wig other than for a glaring defect. All my purchases are generally no returns since I buy them all on clearance or from Ebay. The great thing about this wig is that it is easily trimmed shorter and can be thinned out below the edge of the mono top (there is pretty much no permatease, but there is a good bit of hair for me, personally) Color is difficult, probably the hardest part of wig buying because of color representations on camera and on individual monitors. Good luck, hope you love it! If not, you could sell it on Ebay most likely. The cap is quite comfortable for anyone who is average size and the lace front is gorgeous, much improved over past years~C

It should be a fairly easy wear for a new-to-wigs person. Hope you love it. Just don't look at yourself in a bathroom mirror at first. Put on makeup and take a selfie. that will show the real picture of how you look in her. Good luck!

@@frontporchwigchat6260 I am really struggling trying to find a wig for me. Looking for dark blonde with a little grey, not too sleek or low density as my bio hair is naturally wavy and has more body so very fine silky fibres look fake on me. Collar bone length around 11”. I keep hoping.

Before you get her, check out Part 2 on this wig! Sadly, there are issues with non-rooted versions, not enough hair to cover the wefts, etc.

I mentioned the brand and color at 2:46 and then at 4:22 I told the brand and style. But, this video was not at all about this wig or any particular wig. The wig I am wearing I do *not* recommend due to frequent quality control issues many have experienced with it. I won't put it in the description box because I won't want to lead other women to buy defective wigs.

Color is the hardest thing. I don't know about Champagne in TressAllure. The only wig I ever had called Champagne was an Ellen Wille and those vary from ashy to neutral to gold so hard to pinpoint what they even mean by champagne. They can go yellow or platinum heavy, but I have not seen Champagne in TressAllure. This is a true dark blonde with some subtle lighter blonde highlights and though the camera seems to pick it up, there is no red in this shade, at least on the one I have here nor on the Khloe I owned in this shade years ago.

@@jeanjacobs9965 You're very thoughtful, but the comparison between those colors is definitely close. Both have 24/14 in their codes, but the Velvet Cream has lighter highlights with the 613+140, a bit more dimension, I think, but again, we have both seen the 24/14 on Hanson so we'd know!

There is not a generally stated color code for Velvet Cream, just a word color, however I did find a hint on one site that reads this way: Medium Blonde(24+14) w/Light Blonde(613+140) Highlights Hope this helps!

I know, it's awful because Celebrity is such a great wig! If you do put a search parameter into Ebay, on occasion, you can find someone selling one. I do find one from time to time. It's a great wig, but apparently, Raquel Welch has abandoned the regular synthetics almost entirely.

I have several heat friendly, but I need a low density synthetic to throw on to work & sweat, was & repeat. Lol So I just ordered RW Breeze in 14/88, but I really love the Celebrity. Thanks for your review though. I'll Subscribe in hopes you'll do more non rooted blondes. Take care, Blessings!

@@lidip8700 Ah, another non-rooted blonde fan! One of the best of those is 1488 from Estetica which comes in both heat friendly styles and regular synthetics. It reads more cool on the heat friendly styles and slightly warm on the regular synthetics. On TressAllure, Velvet Cream is a very dark neutral to slightly warm blonde on regular synthetic, with 24 /14 color codes and some light blonde highlights and I think Frosty Blonde HL is the perfect neutral, non-rooted blonde from TressAllure. Hope this helps! I prefer non-rooted, too, because I'm a natural blonde.

Oh thank you! You, too, Margaret. I tried and tried to remove the erroneous red from the color, but it skewed other things. You're right, some of the same tones are in Frosty Blonde but neither color shows red at all. Yep, neutral dark blonde leaning warm is exactly right

That is what I've found from others' experiences. I did not feel completely right in this one, to be honest. It just wasn't me and did not really look like the stock photos (which happens often with many brands).

Yes, even with a wide tooth comb, you rake very lightly through it. I know a retailer who has sale shows and regularly brushes those wavy wigs. I just want to yell "step away from that brush!", LOL.
