I love these longer kinda researchy videos that really get down to the nitty gritty, and the personality behind it, I really enjoyed you not hiding behind some professional, impartial voice. You, my very good sir can go to do some very great things. I'm a bit drunk right now but I honestly think you have that potential in you to be up in the ranks with all those other researchy youtubers, I felt like i was watching a much more interesting two minute papers video, and I think you really have the capability of captivating that kinda audience as it seems like a kinda niche on youtube. The cool thing about VR, is it has had eras just like gaming, and computers have had in the last two or three decades. We are certainly in the "middle advancement" era of VR, where all the old games and tech are still there and growing, but new tech and games are forming, with physics engines, new social mediums, and more things I can't even list due to there being so many. I'm so thankful for all of this, and the people involved, I wouldn't have even met my fiancé if it wasn't for all of this.

All of those mechanics are new and cool rare things in vr industry i mean who the heck that made bone lab or should I say ( bone bug ) 😂

I did sleep on the concept of eye tracking, only applying it to basic concept like: 1. Aggro on enemies changing depending on making eye contact 2. Cutscenes not fully activating till you're looking at them, instead hinting you to look that way with sound/visual effects THEN proceed with the cool stuff But I bet I could get the full power of a water system to operate in vr if I don't have to worry about rendering the majority of it!

It reminds me of how exited i was for boneworks you would not believe my reaction when i saw working water physics and climbing that doesnt look like a jankey mess im so exited to see where this goes

way less interesting when you realize its a tech demo for a solo dev game, not a tool or addon hes releasing for sale its a demo for his far in the future game

I love nimsony's project. Been following it for a long time. But i still have no idea what he is creating this for. Is it for consumers? is it for a game he is making? is it for himself? Everything nimsony does is incredible. But sometimes i forget to care, because he doesn't show or say what it is for, or if it will come to consumer level at some point.

What is the game in the intro? The PSVR2 joint with the PPSH and lantern?

The parkour on that wall looks absolutely insane and so incredibly smooth, like, assassins creed level smooth. Honestly, maybe even smoother than that, insane.

Dude this is so mindblowing I played trough BoneLab twice and thought it was amazing but this is so cool the swimming, Sword mechanics, Crawling, climbing, the ball attached to leg THIS IS MINDBLOWING

for the controller god pls no it would be unusable even current controllers are flawed it is a problem devs need to fix NOT hardware vr should be made with hand tracking first controller second but i agree that even if you use a controller it should still be tracking your hands to be able to move individual fingers currently foveated rendering barely does anything right now it won't be a big thing until screens get crazy res and fov and selecting things with your eyes is the most horrible thing ever you eyes are made to collect information you look everywhere and you look more at things that you don't want to select then what you actually want but the idea of using it ingame is great and it's a must for social vr for the idea of using part of standalone power for pcvr that is possible but it would actually make the game unplayably slow the time it takes for the info to get to the headset then be processed then go back to the pc then processed again then be sync with the image (which destroy the fps) then go back to the headset yea that just get you from 120fps to 1 considering that even just communicating tracking to pc and image to headset is already way too much for any cable there is a reason even just having 2 graphic card on the same pc (with direct access to each other) at the same time was abandoned and it's a good one you lose more performance trying to sync everything (not syncing would make a unrecognizable mess of pixels) then the little power you get company tried things they tried your ideas that you think you want and it was horrible that's why it's not in the current headsets also right now the biggest issue with vr isn't the hardware it's that it's not taken seriously enough to get good software and design and games meta is the only thing keeping vr alive since your beloved steam doesn't give a fuck about it they let their stuff die a lot and aren't a good company compared to meta at all
