@@SamM-oh2cx this one is one of the rereleases I bought off Amazon😂, sonic 3 looks good but I think I will leave it in the packaging. Bought it because I have found memories of the originals and I have no idea where my originals are😭.

@ kicking myself now! Should have bought them when they come out, seen them for £19.99 each! No doubt scalpers vacuumed them up! It’s good that you have kept it sealed, looks just how it would have been when you unwrapped your original when you was a kid (25 years ago 🤣((cheque payable to Sam M please🤣)). Would love to think the originals are still at your mums in the loft but I have a feeling they may have followed the near fate of the Akai. I hope not!

@ I do think my mum has skipped them🤯, but still glad to have this I think it was £19.99 just randomly popped up when I was searching Amazon. Had it a while now, I’m sure there was a few different games made.

@ can we just have a minute silence for them 🙏 I remember the 2020 re-release titles, they were Sonic, X-Men, Transformers, and The Little Mermaid!

@@SamM-oh2cx that’s right I wanted the x-men one also but I think it sold out fast😔.

@RBC0405 there were great used to get them out on the playground, to get the highest score. And batteries lasted for ages.

@@mark-andrews it’s a really well made game, the whole package, visuals, gameplay and the voice acting is on another level👍😎🍺.

@j.goggels9115 it’s ok, no replay ability and does not hold up today, not a patch on resident evil. Deep fear on the saturn is a fantastic game and definitely still holds up.

@j.goggels9115 Ferrari f355 I love that game bought it on release back in the day, I don’t normally like simulation racers (more of an arcade racer guy) but once you understand all aides like traction control something just clicked it’s brilliant, visually stunning (still holds up today) music is fantastic, I’m sure one of the tracks is in Shenmue if I’m remembering correctly.

@j.goggels9115 Confidential Mission is really cheesy, like you said house of the dead is the better game on the dreamcast. And Virtua cop 2 was released for the Dreamcast but only in Japan would love to play that version.

@@SamM-oh2cx possible, I will look into it or maybe there’s a different file that allows joystick control. Either way it’s a great game still as good today as back in the early 80’s👍🍺😎.

@@Retro-cabin Yeah, the full list so far is Freddy Hardest Part 2, Phantis Part 2, Army Moves Part 2, Doomdark’s Revenge, Gilligan’s Gold, Hungry Horace, Horace and the Spiders, Cybernoid, Pimania. I am sure there is more waiting to be discovered!

@@MichalZembaty wow, such a fantastic game on the ps1 and tough welldone👍. I used to play on the saturn back in the day terrible frame rate, didn’t notice until I played the ps1 version far superior👍🍺😎.

@@mark-andrews I think you’re right, I’ve replaced a few laser pick ups in my time because the systems would read cd and not dvd. I do love the blue disc but the black ps1 are top👍😎🍺.

@Retro-cabin My PS2, which I recently got, not new seems to struggle with CDs. I have seen repepairs done on DVD and Blue Ray players, apparently there are separate lasers for each type of disc.

@@mark-andrews I think the ps2 has two laser in the pick up one for dvd and one for cd, if you remove the laser there should be a code on the body, I normally order a replacement from AliExpress just remember to remove the anti static solder. The worst thing about the ps2 fat is there’s a plastic section on the thread of the laser drive screw that wears, and that’s a difficult part to find a replacement for🍺👍😎

@@retroimportgamer513 the boxes you just need to look at them and they explode😂, I’m glad I did open them as there’s 3 box’s I need to get the fronts for😂. Working with wood is my job so it takes a lot for me to get motivated at home to build something😂, but so glad I did as use the cabin all the time, was meant to be for the whole family🤔😂. There’s only a couple of games I want to get for the system now, and really enjoying the hack and homebrew games👍😎🍺.

@Retro-cabin yes that it was supposed to be for others is something that does ring bells with me too🤣🤣 I'm just a DIY maker but enjoy making stuff, were it a busman's holiday, I might not be so keen 🤣

@@FOGSmokebeer that’s great👍. I have no pc though 😂, that’s why I went this route. I’m great with 8 bit micros but terrible with modern pc’s. My son can do all that so maybe get him to sort the next retro games console usb👍😎🍺. I like how there’s load of options out there for the hobby.

@@SamM-oh2cx I never knew anybody back in the day with one, can remember seeing it on the shelf in toys r us and really wanting one👍🍺😎.

@ Me and my mate were in Liverpool in the mid / late 90s when the printer and camera was release and Gameboy had reps out in Virgin megastores promoting the printer and the camera! When the girl took my mates picture on a gameboy and then printed it out, never seen him run to the shelf to buy one so quick! Was only after he got it did we start to discover that games started to get released that had things to print, like characters from games, score cards, certificates, Pokemon, it was brilliant! I think it would be right up your street and a brilliant add to your collection!

@@SamM-oh2cx no plans to follow up, wanted to get it because I’ve never played the original. Made me realise everything I collect and play I have some sort of nostalgia for, the 400 mini has been sitting on the shelf ever since😂. Maybe a fomo buy 🤔.

@ that’s pretty much the same camp I am in, wanting things that have a meaningful memory rather than wanting it for the sake of wanting it. If the price drops and I see one cheap, I might pick one up just to add to the collection but I don’t think I’ll rush out any time soon! If yours is sitting on a shelf (I doubt dusty, have see you dust in your other posts 🤣) mine would just become mummified 🤣
