Good video Will 👍 regular maintenance pays dividends in life and performance of a tractor 🚜👍 was told by an old mechanic many years ago oil and grease are your cheapest mechanics 👌 only thing I would say is to put grease on the battery terminals to help stop corrosion 👍 as ive never been near a 399 is that the Perkins 6354 in it 🤔

2x 12 volt system on the 399 will , my 399 had that until I changed it and replaced the starter with a hi Geared starter and which allowed me too only Need 1 battery then 👍

ARE THEY 2 X 12 VOLT OR 2 X 6 VOLT BATTERY

Good video Will 👍 that rubber washer you took of is supposed to be there and it screws on over that central retaining bolt giving a better seal than the wingnut direct on to the metal endcap of the filter 💪👍

Cut 3 inches off end of that cone.. most people do.. u will have a lot less blockages

Interesting video Will 👍 our parlours used vacuum for the gates, and cant remember who's parlours we had but the cooling system for the milk was used to pre heat the water for cleaning, also we recorded every month and the cows had coloured tape on their tails for amount of feed each cow got based on litres per cow, amount of food was inputed as cows walked into the parlour by the dairy person based on the tail tags 🤔 think that was the main differences, as you said milk recording was a real pain 🤣

Such a difference between a dairy farmers tractor and an arable farmers 😂 mostly I've been on the dairy side 😊

Be careful Will how much you cut of the nozzle 🙄 ot to consider if the pump has the spare capacity to maintain the necessary pressure also as you mentioned perhaps got to go up a gear or two then if emptying going up hill will the 399 have enough power in reserve 🤔, just a little tale that black rubber pipe that pressurises the tank over time deteriorated and blew off straight into the back of the cab 🙄😳😡😡 that was a shit day 🤣🤣

Have you tried using the short milking sleeves? They keep your overalls a lot cleaner.

Great video Will 👍 so many differences from the way we did it 🤔 we washed every cow with warm water and wiped with cloths, then stripped every teat before milking to check for mastitis, then after milking they were teat dipped, nice of your girlfriend to help out by the way she deals with the clusters she's helped out a few times before 🙄💪💪 how do you detect mastitis without stripping🤔

I’ve learnt a lot about cows, I live next door to a farm but obviously don’t get to see everything that goes on.

Good video Will 👍 we had two 14/14 parlours side by side with ACR s and every 6 months we stripped a parlour down and replaced ropes and have to say never seen a plunger take so much effort to get it back in place 😮 hope it works for you 👍
