Spring 2023 in 2 Minutes
This spring has been a bit of a blur from the end of the ski season, to the Boston Marathon, to suffering through mud season, and finally all of the spring flowers blooming.

Winter 2023 In 2 Minutes.
Просмотров 78Год назад
The winter of 2023 was spent doing a lot of skiing and watching Bruins hockey. Nobody wants to watch me tumble down a mountain all day, so I summed it up in a short video. The weather is getting warmer so it will be back to exploring soon enough. Music: "Inspiring Acoustic Guitar" by LesFM.

It hasn't been a great season for snow so far in New England. Finally this week there is decent ground cover and trail conditions. Had to take a couple of early runs before the crowds took over. Music: "Beyond The Horizon" by LesFM.

Stick Season in Vermont

It’s officially stick season in Vermont. The foliage is gone, but the views are still incredible. The Green Mountains will be under snow in a couple of weeks.
Calendar II Stone Chamber, South Woodstock Vermont
Просмотров 242Год назад
The Calendar II site is a stone chamber located in South Woodstock, Vermont. It was constructed without mortar and contains lintels weighing as much a 3 to 4 tons. There is much debate over who made it, when, and why. It has been dismissed as a colonial root cellar and also claimed to be ancient in its origins. I doubt there will ever be any sort of settled consensus. There are some things that...

The drive through the notch that connects the the Jeffersonville and Cambridge area to Stowe is a perfect way to take in the sights, the towering rock faces, waterfalls, caves, and foliage. The trip only takes about 15 minutes but there are many place to...

Abandoned Cemetery In Vermont - Purmort Cemetery
Просмотров 53Год назад
This beautiful almost forgotten cemetery in Northern Vermont is not far off of a country road running along the Lamoille River. There is little known about the family that settled the land. Most of the head stones belong to the Purmort family with a few others that are likely relatives. The land was probably clear cut to export timber and potash, items that were the biggest industry of the time...

This is another 10 minute nature break. This spot is along one of my favorite local hiking trails. Lots of small run-offs coming down from the mountains. I hope you can take it in for a few minutes and enjoy.

Vermont is beautiful. Except for the government, most of the locals with the same DNA, or the DEI and illegals they’re shipping in.

I've gone to this place for winter solstice for the past several decades. At sunrise.....sun hits the alter under the opening above. I understand that the head stone has been carbon dated to be more than 10,000 yrs old and stone....not from this continent

There is a cache nearby. I see it as a find from a couple years ago, but not on the map. It may have been archived.
