I am a passionate advocate for ethical AI in education, regularly speaking at global forums, including the UNESCO Policy Forum, and sharing insights through podcasts and panel discussions. As a Global AI Trainer, I partner with schools and institutions to deliver AI training, including collaborations with Corwin Publishers for their online programs.

Hi Katie, I teach at an international school in Spain, so we're not governed by district rules. We just obtain individual parental consent for each pupil. However, I always offer a ChatGPT-free alternative for anyone who prefers it, though it's been a long time since any student has chosen to use it.
You have some great ideas. How do you have parents sign off on students' use of ChatGPT? Does your district have a user agreement in place with parental permissions for AI use under 18?
