I have a 1972 F600 Ford with the split RIMS ( five degree firestone rims) not rings like yours. Ring tires are a lot safer than the split rims. Wish I could find a set and swap them out... Those tires are a LOT of work to change out but as long as you throughly clean the ring recess and ring and check them for rust or erosion they are safe to use.

I bought my 01 4Runner after hearing the squeaking sound, just had 215,000km on it h. Bought it for $4,000 (CAD) spend $8,000 on it and still ordering shit worth $8,000 . Once you start building there is no going back😅 Coz end of the day you know it’s gonna outlive you😊

Starts right up! Glass headlight lenses, so yeah, they stay clear. My '02 has 255,000 miles (not km's) and doesn't leak a drop. You got handed a treasure! Whatever you pay to get it rolling and cleaned up will be worth every penny.

Howdy. Did that truck have the name Atkinsons Garage anywhere on it? That truck looks like the former Atkinson's DF 480 from Dorion east of Thunder Bay. The DF 400's had a full fiberglass hood. The extra heavy duty DF 480's had the breakaway checkerplate fenders.

I own 1997.....last twenty years, no problems, still running strong.

The headlights are so clear and not hazed over because that was the last generation to have glass headlights.

I’m guessing it was parked because of the typical frame rust ? If the bumpers have a rust hole through it I’m sure the frame is gone. These things all went to the scrap yard here in Ontario due to frame rust. The price was right but if the frame is gone it’s a parts truck at best.
