Awesome story, it's unfortunate that when I was a student in the early 1980s at Saint Joseph's I never knew about him, or else I would have bought peanuts from him!
Really Really hardworking man 🥰🥰

The year was 1976 and as a young 14-year-old MBHS student I bought peanuts and beans from him at the Suva bus stand. I am now 60 and he is still selling beans...He was young back then with a ponytail and today 2022 he is still going strong....wow what a lesson in life for everyone.

Proud humble man Muasam Ali,good story of a big heart hard working man for a living in Suva ,All the best,
I well remember the bean/peanut sellers of my youth around Suva. I am the same age as Ali and he is an absolute inspiration to all. I left Fiji in 65 to join the British military but I have always remembered the famous bean/peanut sellers of of my mother country. You cannot but feel humbled by this man's attitude to his life. I wish him every best for his future and can only hope he continues to sell his produce to more generations of Fijian people. Thank you to the team that saw fit to publicise the life of this simple unassuming man. Brilliant. Please delve further into the Fijian population and regal us with more such stories.
