Gochujang Glazed Tempeh (serves 2) 🔥Ingredients 1 package, 250g(8oz.) tempeh 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For caramelizing ½ teaspoon sugar ½ teaspoon vegetable oil For sauce 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste) ½ tbsp gochugaru (Korean red chili powder) 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 tablespoons rice syrup 2 teaspoons minced garlic ½ teaspoon minced ginger For garnish 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds 2 tablespoons sliced green onion 💨 For air-fryer, 190 C (375 F) for 8-10 minutes

If I am not able to get Gochujang is there a substitute for that which can be used
i’ve actually been finding gochujang lately at regular grocery stores like kroger and publix (which i know is regional) so you may actually have some luck in the international isle! if not, maybe try sriracha? it’s not as thick but if you want that sweetened kick i think it’d work!
It’s ok not to add any gochujang at the end as the toppings in bibimbap except rice is already seasoned. If it lacks saltiness, then you can season with soy sauce (or salt), add some chili flakes/powder for spiciness! I haven’t tried it myself but I heard sriracha works too.

Ingredients (serves 2) 150g kale (or 100g prepared packaged kale) 3 cups anchovy-kelp stock (3½ water, 20g dried anchovies, 1 sheet dried kelp (kombu)) 2 ½ tablespoons doenjang (Korean soybean paste, reduce to 2 tablesopons if you're using artisanal doenjang) 100g tofu 1 stalk green onion a few slices of hot chili pepper (optional) 1 teaspoon rice powder (+ 1 tablespoon water) salt to taste if needed 🌱For vegans, omit dried anchovies and use only dried kelp. Ingredients (serves 2) 400g (1 lb.) sliced rice cakes for soup 4 cups water 1 piece dried kelp (a.k.a., dashima, kombu) 1 teaspoon guk-ganjang (Korean light soy sauce) Salt to taste Toppings 1 stalk green onion 1 egg, salt to taste, ½ teaspoon vegetable oil for frying 2 dried pyogo (shiitake) mushrooms (rehydrated with ½ cup warm water, save the liquid for the broth) 100g (¼ lb.) minced beef 1 tablespoon guk-ganjang (Korean light soy sauce) ½ tablespoon sesame oil ½ teaspoon minced garlic black pepper to taste ½ teaspoon vegetable oil for frying 1 sheet toasted gim (seaweed) Korean chili pepper threads (optional) 🫘For vegans, substitute minced meat with tofu. Wipe excess water and mash it into crumbles. What do you pan fry the meat in? Is it also veg oil? ❤
I used pure avocado oil (or you can also use any vegetable oil with high smoking point) 🥰 I actually didn’t add any extra oil to it since my pan still had some oil coated from frying other veggies :)

Sure you can! But coconut sugar burns easily so put it on lower heat and careful not to burn it :)

Out of curiosity, how did you cook the tofu?
It’s really simple! Cut tofu and season with salt, drain the excess water on paper towel (this is the tip to make it crispier on the outside). Then heat the pan, drizzle some vegetable oil, pan-fry until golden :) You can check out the full video linked to this video and see how it’s done.
