Hey native to South Carolina I love it here. Where I live is called Horse Creek Valley, Valley for short. 25 minutes from Augusta. Yes we have Hot Summers. Christmas is green and Spring is wet . Don't come here if you want to be rude just try and soak up the local charm. No hurry no pressure just slow and easy living.

I live in south carolina but my dad said south carolina was hit by hurricane hugo hit in September it was in the 80s i think it was bad my dad was in a building and it hit the brocks were shaking...bless this state❤

I love SC. I live in NC. The only thing that's irritating is South Carolina drivers. They like to drive under the speed limit, but in the fast lane. But that's still better than the tailgating NC drivers.

Wonderful video🇺🇸. Thank you for tellung the stories of our heros. My dad Joe Sharkey was on the Yorktown 42-45. He was also ship board director of the association. It was his wish the next generations would know the history of the navy and his fighting lady. 🇺🇸💕.

Just got back from a few days down. First time in the city. Amazing place. Sullivans beach was one of the best beaches I've been to. Patriot point and the Hunley museum were both great tours. The cities central market was a great way to spend an afternoon. The Boone Hall Plantation was another great day of touring. Don't even get me started on the food. Many things I didn't get to see but I will return to see them.

The disgrace of how comfortable they are with communism being taught in our schools and in our government especially the party running for President. Her ideas to control our economy and society is absolutely communism! Visited the Yorktown twice . The last time we went I paid for the guided tour . It was worth the money the tour guide was great . They are all pros and know what they are talking about

A most interesting city.

I feel like these cons are mostly aimed at the lowcountry. The Upstate has quite a bit more variation in weather, but the pollen isn't any better! We also don't have as many insects as the coastal regions, nor are there any alligators. I did not know there were all those local sales taxes in the lowcountry! WOW.

When we lived near Charleston back in the early 90s, I would visit the Yorktown as often as possible. In fact, for 10 straight years I would spend every Memorial Day aboard her. Grabbing my flashlight, I would wander off the self-guided tours to explore off-limit areas. Once I found a room filled with old typewriters. My dad was in the Navy during Korea and spent 6 months aboard the Yorktown before being transferred to a destroyer (USS Halsey Powell - DD686) I will always remember my time at the Yorktown and those that served aboard the "Fighting Lady".

Was there for Hugo, and every hurricane since until 2009, when we moved to Simpsonville. Don’t miss ANYthing about the Lowcountry! We love the No to Low humidity up here…it’s 60 degrees right now…CHEERS! Mark Smith
