Congratulations! My wife ran in the NYC Marathon this year too! It was so much fun traversing the city to see her running . We were able to see her 5 or 6 times. It was a really cool experience

thank you for sharing this. 😭 i’m so glad you realized and that you found women to be friends with; i think that connection is so important. i had my pick me stage in my earlier teens, but luckily with the internet, i recognized it sooner. it was awful how i put other girls down for male attention, only to realize those guys didn’t even value me beyond my body; female friendships are so empowering.

I agree with most of what you said, but I would argue that we the consumers could change things overnight if we all got on the same page and stopped buying things. I get that not everyone can afford quality items, but I feel like that's even more of a reason not to buy. I recently went on a buy-nothing spree due to some unforeseen issues with my bank account that resulted in it being locked down for several weeks, and it was honestly so liberating. I didn't miss buying things, quality or otherwise, and I was forced to use what little cash I had on hand for stuff that REALLY mattered, things I could not live without. And when my bank account was finally straightened out, I actually had a ton of money in there due to a few checks that had been deposited from my job that I hadn't been able to spend, which again felt very liberating. It was a not-so-new realization that my money is mine to do with what I please, and there is absolutely no reason to give it to anyone who doesn't deserve it for any reason outside of life necessities like food and rent. Education is important, but so is standing your ground. If you need new clothes, either go to a thrift store or save up and buy good quality ones. Don't make excuses for why it should be acceptable to buy low-quality garbage, and don't assume that a limited budget won't buy better. It can if you are willing to spend a little more on fewer items. I hate that we live in a world where you are just expected to buy and buy and buy. It's such nonsense, and believe me when I say you will be haippier in the long run if you buy less or nothing at all.

Know someone who obsessively buys her clothing pieces from the super pricey Wolford. Not a single pair of properly hemmed undies there and tights that break as you unpack em. Things are getting worse coz stupid rich ppl are willing to pay extra for it.

YES THIS OMG I AM SORRY TO MAKE THIS COMMENT A TIRADE, but i feel like this video marks the perfect oppurtunity. i have been looking for good jeans since like ages, i am based in india, and i feel 4-5k for a pair of jeans is a decent amount, and i have tried several brands but the quality just sucks. only zara seems ok ( which is the brand's only exception ig) what happened to sustainable fashion????? what happened to quality?? also why is it so expensive??? so, one thing i disagree w in your video is calling zara low quality, i mean it is low quality usually, but one exception is jeans, they are the only ones i have been wearing since 2y
