In this video, we explore the culinary landscape of Tutong, Brunei, focusing on the historic shophouses along Jalan Enche Awang. Notable establishments include Mei Fang Cafe, a halal restaurant established in 1953, and Ho Yuen Restaurant, a non-halal eatery. During my visit to Mei Fang on Tamu Tutong day, I ordered fried kway teow which was unavailable, leading me to try fried bee hoon instead. I also enjoyed their homemade wajid dessert. Where is Kuala Lurah? Tarap is almost equivalent to cempedak.
Kuala Lurah or Kampung Kuala Lurah is a village in the southwest of Brunei Muara district, immediately adjacent to the Brunei-Malaysia Border. Tarap is a tropical fruit native to Borneo, a close cousin of the jackfruit. It has a strong scent, delicious and soft flavoured.
@@NyLFoodtq for info.. I have seen someone planted tarap seedling in Sg Buloh, Selangor but never have a chance to taste it.
