Day 24 reading and episode COMPLETED! It really helps to understand the Word! I was a member at a church that had regular times of feeding the impoverished, as the church was located in a downtown area where there was frequent traffic of the impoverished. I think about this time often, about how it was a time for us to serve people who had perhaps made different decisions throughout their lives. No matter the reason, the meal brought us together. Honestly, this was/is truly one of the highlights of my serving at any church that I've been part of. Learning about people, breaking bread with them, loving on them. Because we are titters/givers, the food purchased (all that wasn't donated) one could say I had a right to. But I love learning about this theme of right vs. responsibility. I had a right to the food, but my responsibility was to love and see them as my brothers/sisters in Christ. The teaching by PM on the extremes of secessionism and sensationalism are so powerful! I completely agree that Sundays should be 100% focused on the unbeliever - to the point of relaxing dress (not totally relaxing, but in dressing in balance😀).

Day 23 reading and episode COMPLETED! Wow...rights and responsibilities. This has always been a strong topic of conversation and always seems to cause confusion as well, so I appreciate the presentation, context, and truth associated with this episode. Personally, since coming into the Kingdom of God this is something I'm continually thinking about when amongst unbelievers and believers alike. Love must trump liberty! Early on in my walk with God, I rarely thought about the "other person" and put them ahead of me when thinking about freedoms like smoking cigars, drinking alcohol, etc. When you think about it, the ability to say no to these things is a rather simple act, but showing love and support to people around us can go a long way towards the responsibility that we have in Christ. Saying no can be a challenge sometimes, especially in a corporate setting. Prayer and remembering the Word does help to give wisdom and self-control and helps us to make choices that reflect our responsibilities to God instead of our rights to please ourselves.

Great insight. I agree with you. It's been a battle for me as well. At times I feel following strict rules for salvation makes you Pharisees like. Having the letter of the law down.
