Well done! Love that you acknowledged things that can be improved! I am still learning too and just tell my self any mistakes or imperfections just adds character to the piece. Excellent project!
@mnb3566 Thank you for the nice words, and i agree with you with your philosophy on imperfection.
Would love to see the same project but with the walnut on the outside. Great job, plan on making a box using this method! New sub here!
Im happy you like the project and thank you for the sub keep making saw dust
Great video. I too am getting started in the wood working RUclips world. Subscribed. @elzzupcraft
Good work 👍👍👍
Stunning little box, lovely contrast, make more box projects, viewing from Ireland. Great work, Thanks.
@patrickcarlin7042 Thank you for liking the box, and I will make more
ceejay great job gotta try this
For Pete’s sake… PLEASE remove the bracelets before using saws!!
@@stein_hund-wow3022 👍
Wow great work🎉
Very nice work. Also, exceptionally good job with putting the RUclips video together. If I may make a suggestion, look into using a feather board on your table saw. You can make one.
Good idea thank you ill look into it and thank you for the nice words on the video
@@ceejay_woodworking one more suggestion, and then I'll leave it alone. Build yourself a push block that both pushes your piece and holds it down. I'm speaking from experience.
@michaeltrueblood2545 ok, I did have a plan to make one. Thank you, I'll jump on that. I'll look up some up
Great job, keep it up!
@@retssgusa thank you i will
Nice 🤟
@@changblonk4089 thanks
Wow man that's museum quality work 😮!
@shermanharris9218 Thank you
Really?
@rodentiasapiens it's a show of a decorative pattern I carved
Recntly found your channel, enjoying your content, keep it up :)
Thank you. I'm glad you like the content
Excellent use of smaller wood stock, looks awesome.
I thought it was odd to cut the walnut in strips, but after seeing it completed i am really liking it. Im going to be doing this for sure on the next box i make!!
@SIRRONW please do it. It take a little extra time but you get a upgrade panel
I subscribed. I also do woodworking and mill my own wood with a chainsaw and mill. You are a creative woodworker and have awesome stuff! Thanks for posting.
@IcOmEiNpEaCe333 that sounds fun, and thank you for the sub and nice words.
Nice job thanks for sharing
@phoenix2441 no problem. I'm glad you like it
Very nice and unique box!
@@IcOmEiNpEaCe333 thank you
You're welcome!
Nicejob. I like the walnut panels.
@tombirmingham7354 Thank you. I appreciate it
I really like this box...thanks for sharing....I hope to try it out soon! Keep up the good work
I love the contrast too, are you going to carve a design on the lid?
@shermanharris9218 not on this one I wanted to keep it simple for this design but I do have something like that in mind im just trying to figure out the decorative style
@@ceejay_woodworking oh ok, it is beautiful , I need to get in my shop and try my hand at it
@shermanharris9218 that's what I like to hear. Make some saw dust and have fun doing it.
Really good build and nice contrast and you gave me a good idea and use for some thin off cuts of nice wood to use 8nnthis fashion that I wasn’t sure what to do with. Great job
I'm happy I was able to help and thank you
Something completely different and unique. Nice project.
@mavision6525 Thank you. I'm happy you like it
This is a great project and the contrasting colors make it different. Nice job.
Thank you for the nice words
Looks good! I like the way you did your inside panels
Thank you for watching more soon
That's flush bro. Plush is decadent... Flush means even. Nice work!

Thank you for the compliment
love the contrast between the pine and hardwood. Awesome work.
@Tom-n5tti thank you I appreciate the nice comment
You make things simple to understand than you
@jeffbelcher4646 you welcome and thanks for watching
I would make a wooden push stick. Just in case you accidentally hit the blade, the plastic doesn't break on you and shatter all over the place and cause you injuries and also make 1 for your router table .. Awesome work boss .. And maybe think about a sacrificial fence you can mount on your tablesaw
@jukansukiteza702 thanks for the heads up I'll work on the push stick
@ceejay_woodworking yeah you could just trace your original one that's what I did .. keep up the good work 💪💯
I cringed when watching you use that router while wearing those bracelets and having your fingers so close to the router bit. Safety is paramount to anything else. Be careful. ✌🏽🙏🏽
@apembertonfowler my bad I didn't mean to make anyone cringe thanks for letting me know and I will be careful around the tools thank you for the info and watching
please be careful keep your hands and finger away from the blade
@randyfarris8526 will do thanks
I know that WoodPrix has the best woodworking plans ever.
Oh thanks for Letting me know
Is that an oblivion gate symbol?
Good eye it is
Amazing ceejay. That was useful. You could have done a box to reinforce the joints. One useful tip is the jointing of two woods face side to face side or edge to edge to increase the thickness. I made a box with 10mm panel and when I used 16mm screw for the hinge it is pocking inside the box. I now have to use smaller screws less than 10mm or better to use 2x10mm panels jointed together. Please kindly demonstrate the various joints with projects.
I can do that keep in eye out for it
Thank you for the nice words
Soooooooo cool!
Thank you glade you like it
Nice , are you going to show the finished product
This was just a sample of the design but if you want to see it on a project just let me know what type of item you want me to make and I'll add this design to it and thank you for the nice words and commenting I appreciate it
I liked it. the symmetry and finish were good. thanks!
I happy you likes it thank you for the nice words.... and your welcome
That is a beautiful work of art!
Thank you for that happy you like it
@@ceejay_woodworking love it dude
That came out nice.
Thank you I appreciate it
That was interesting. The pearl powder; I've never seen that done before, and I'm an old man that had a career in construction. You taught me something, young man. Thank you. My preference is the natural wood look over stain. Most of the time when I see stained wood I think that it's an imitation, but that's just me. The only time that I really care is when it's in my house :-) I'll keep watching. Subscribed.
I'm happy I was able to show you something new. I get what you mean with the stain and natural wood I like to use natural look also
Wood carving is definitely a skill that requires a LOT of practice, so keep at it! I've been carving for a decent amount of time and I'm still learning, so don't let small mistakes get you down, just keep pushing and practicing!
@johncbrown26 thank you for that and I will keep It going
I wonder if using something like a card scraper to push the powder down into the grain more would help any. It might be worth a test, just to see. Like, push the powder down into the wood as if you were trying to crush it up/break the powder down into a finer powder. Then after that use this same technique, adding your stain and then more powder with the brush... Just a thought, it might be worth testing out
@johncbrown26 that card idea is good I'll try it and the power I have is already super fine. Just opening the led makes a pearl power cloud. But I'll see if I can get it finer
@@ceejay_woodworking yeah, I guess I'm not really saying to try to get it any finer, just that the act of pushing it into the woods with a card scraper or something similar would resemble doing that, if that makes more sense
@johncbrown26 oh ok I get what you mean now do the grinding motion while applying the power
@@ceejay_woodworking yes, exactly!
@johncbrown26 ok I'll try it
Thanks Cee jay. interesting
@greymane4030 Your welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting to let me know what you think i appreciate it
The metalic look adds an extra spark to the finish ❤
I know right it's nice
Wood working. Good job. Music choice. Genius. Sub.
@tobiasgertz7800 thank you very much for that
Man I love the rustic look of just about anything, those look so good
Thank you I appreciate it and rustic is a good style
Very nice looking and functional
Thank you and it is functional
Loose the kiddie music and maybe get a like. This garbage is obnoxious.
