    Good info… my Jeep is missing that valve… I’m gonig to buy it rings now thank you… 💯👍🏽

    • @swatscorner
      @swatscorner 2 дня назад

      Later versions (maybe after 97) didn’t have the valve. It’s not needed, but the idea was to keep hot coolant from circulating through the core until called on. Maybe it keeps the cabin cooler? 🤷🏻

      Yeah, it’s pretty sad. If the engine fails, people understandably don’t want to put any money into them. Though that’s becoming more economically feasible these days.

    Do you know the inner diameter of the "proper" bushings? I got a pair of bushings branded "Precision Chassis K3128" which measure 11mm inside and got no bumps. I haven't taken off the old ones yet. I got them from O'Reilly's since they didn't have the Moog in stock. So maybe this is providential.

    So I have a 2012 kk sport. Hard start when warmed up, puff of white smoke when engine turns over. I have a p0172 ( running rich bank 1) and I’m being told I have a misfire in cylinder 4. Compression is good o2 sensors are good ( info gleaned from live scan) tech has looked at everything and is stumped, any thoughts on what is causing it to run rich?

      MAP sensor or vacuum leak would be my guess. I assume the tech has checked that?

    I have a 2013 WK2 and notice when its hot out at certain times i dont always feel i get the best or coldest air. Refrigerant is good, was wondering if it was the Compressor but after seeing this im curious to know if its the Actuator now hmmm. How did you figure it may have been this issue for you?

    • @swatscorner
      @swatscorner Месяц назад

      My dad has a 2011 Laredo. Had the same issue. And it felt nice and cool on the drivers side and not the passenger side. So I knew it was likely the blend door actuator. Googling it seemed to confirm that. Some looked relatively easy and straightforward, I tried it out!

    • @swatscorner
      @swatscorner Месяц назад

      I don’t know, but just a little bit of wallow on the track bar bolt gave me death wobble. So I wanted it to fit perfectly. My mechanic said 2mm or less is acceptable if I remember correctly.

    • @chrismarch6644
      @chrismarch6644 Месяц назад

      @@swatscorner I understand that but have you tried to remove these bolts with the vehicle on the ground? The weight of the vehicle will put strain on the bolts making it hard to remove unless you jack it up taking weight of the bolts. A company like moog is well known in the industry and I'd like to think that they and the other companies that have the same design did it for a reason. It's a safe bet you won't get that much play with the XJ on the ground under it's own weight.

    • @swatscorner
      @swatscorner 22 дня назад

      I can only tell you what my mechanic had advised me (no more than 2mm of play). Plus being stationary on the ground is different than moving at high speed. That's why a wallowed out track bar bolt hole can cause death wobble.

      I was hoping it would help with the headlights some (which it didn’t). But I feel like it’s starting and running better with it. If you have no real issue, there is no need to do it. As you can see on mine, everything’s just a little old and tired, so replacing 27 year old parts with 337k miles is worth doing for the most part.

I have not acquired the fog lights yet. also the Fog light switch doesn't illuminate, I did put led bulbs in there.
