@@charlesballard5251 I think I got a great deal too! I remember those days when kits were that price. Maybe they were basic compared to today's stuff, but they were affordable and still looked and went together very well. Think about picking one up and building again, it's still a great way to relax and escape the adult world!

@@pappytinkers The price differential is due to the cost of petroleum. Plastic is just a lot more expensive to produce because of it. I have a couple of kits but I'm not building them because I just don't have the workbench and materials. I bought some materials but due to the size of my tiny condo I just don't have room to work. If I did... oh, the things I'd build!!!!!

@charlesballard5251 thank goodness the price of kits doesn't bounce around like gas! While I have several workbenches, most are usually covered with other projects like leather or woodworking. Except when I'm filming for a video, I'd bet that 90% of all my models have been built sitting on a couch with a tray on my lap. It sounds like your creative side is wanting out again my friend!

@pappytinkers we all do it. And they didn't spell it that way because they aren't American. I pronounced Tamiya wrong for years. Dee-cals seem American and Deck-alls seem to be Canadian

I just love that artwork, certainly nothing I would have expected for a tank model! I have to admit feeling a bit intimidated with all those parts.. if my quick calculations are correct, it's like 800 parts just for the tracks! 🤯

@@pappytinkers I get that. I built a tank earlier this year and the tracks alone were like a little over 100 pieces each track. Take your time and you'll be able to do it. It is a great change from always building cars and trucks. That's a great pickup from ebay too!!

@LarrysModelShop you're absolutely right about that! I did my first Gundam kit this year for a break too. It was nice not having to worry about paint or anything else. I think this will turn into a great build.. After all those track links lol 😆

Thank you! I have lowered the caffeine quite a bit the last few months as well as peanut butter/nuts just by chance recently. But I haven't had one in a few months, so either that's working or one of growing lol. Time will tell! I'll look that up too
