What a lovely and helpful tutorial. I love all the layers and combination of fibers, and beautiful effects and depth created. I have wanted to create pictures in felt so this has been so helpful and inspiring! Thankyou!
thank you for the excellent tutorial🤩🥳 can't wait to make one! I was actually looking for a tutorial for a two-layer "lantern" where the inner layer is quite transparent and the outer layer has cut outs so I think this will work very well. I might just make the resist for the inner layer a tiny bit smaller.
I am so pleased you enjoyed my tutorial and you found it useful. You can certainly change the size of the resist. X
This is beautiful! Where do you get the tiny bits from? Can I order online somewhere? Do they have a specific name that I can search on?
Hi . I don't know where you are based but the tiny woollen balls are called nepps. I sell them but they are also available from other retailers online. Best wishes, Claire
Love it!! Thx for sharing your technique…. beginner here…. greetings from the rural countryside of New Hampshire (East Coast - New England area) USA. 🧡
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! It's great to see where you are watching from and I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial and found it useful. Xxx🥰
Wow, just beautiful! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Thank you! Very helpful video.
Hi were did you get the pulling tool please
Hi. Thank you for your message. I made this tool myself using epoxy resin and a couple of molds. Moy MacKay sells something similar on Etsy. X
Thanknyou great tutorial
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Xx
Lovely finished project and excellent explanation every step of the way. Am a new subscriber and just attempting felting. Your patient and thorough explanation is so helpful for a beginner - an American from the San Francisco Bay Area.❤😊 ❤
Thank you so much for your lovely message! I am so pleased my tutorial helped you create your own piece of felt artwork. I spent a wonderful week in San Francisco and love the area. Please say hi to the sea lions. ❤😊 I hope you enjoy future projects. X

I have never tried to make a bowl, I am going to try, yours is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your lovely comment. I hope all goes well and you enjoy making it. Xx
Very clear video . Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this lovely well explained tutorial. I''ll definitely be having a go. I think it would be good to cut the ingredients panel off the soap and attach to the bottom if selling at craft fairs just in case of any sensitivities. It will definitely make a great gift ☺
Thank you for your lovely positive comment and for watching my video. Adding an ingredients panel to the packaging is a great idea! X
Thank you ever so much - I’m greatly inspired to explore wet felting further!
I hope you enjoy it! It's great fun. X
Thank you. I am jumping into the wet felt painting rabbit hole. I appreciate your generosity.
Thank you! It's very addictive. X
Beautiful picture ~ gorgeous colours ❤❤❤
Thank you so much. X
Oh where do you buy the wool ~ neps?~ if thats how you say it?~ as iv been making felt, fibres, n adding to clothes 🥰😍👍
Hi. Nepps are widely available from wool suppliers online. I sell them at Teesdale Felt but in the UK I am afraid. X
What a delightful video! Thank you. I could sit and watch you for hours. I am going on a two-evening course next month to learn to make wet felted pictures and this has really inspired me. I have subscribed and am going to take a look now to see what other work you do……..and I hope you show how to secure nepps to your work! I’ve had a little try with some and just managed to decorate a felting needle! 😂
You are very kind and I am so pleased you have enjoyed my videos! Nepps are pretty frustrating to use sometimes. When laying out your picture add a very fine layer of wool to secure them. If they fall off after felting I sometimes give them a squirt of strong hold hairspray. X
Thanks for this. I created my own using this tutorial for the very first time. Came out very well x
Sorry for my very late reply! I am so pleased that your picture came out so well. I hope you have found a good place to display it. Thank you for telling me! 😄💕
Beautiful.....it's late and I am suppose to go to bed, but I had to watch your art work. Thank you
That is so good to hear. I'm pleased you didn't fall asleep!😅
I ordered some supplies from you and on your website discovered the link to your RUclips channel - fab - really enjoyed watching you make the flower and looking forward to more videos. Thank you x
I am sorry for the late reply and thank you so much for ordering supplies from me. I hope you enjoyed your felting and were pleased with the end result! X
Lovely work. Thank you for your simple and to the point instructional video. Perfect!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am glad you enjoyed the video and found it useful. Xx
Absolutely beautiful making them for my Daughters Wedding. One question what is the glue mix you use at the end please?👏👏♥️
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It is ok to use any fabric glue that dries clear. I mixed it with enough water that it was the consistency of milk. I hope your daughter has a wonderful wedding and loves the felt bowls. Xxx🥰💕
Thank you for your videos, I really appreciate them.
That is very kind of you. Thank you! I enjoy making them. I'm just uploading a puffin landscape tutorial now. Xx❤
Oooh, this looks fun and a great christmas present idea. Thank you for sharing this. What sort of stiffener did you use to make the bowl more sturdy? Thanks.
Thank you for your lovely comment. I used diluted fabric glue (1 part glue 2 parts water)to paint the pot and then dryed it. Any fabric glue will do just double check that it dries clear.
Ah, many thanks. I'm sure I've got some knocking around the workroom somewhere - I have vague memories of stiffening a little crochet pot many moons ago. Wish me luck in finding that - hee hee.
@@TeesdaleFelt At what stage do you add the glue mixture? After you shape it into the bowl shape? Do you let it dry first then paint the glue on?
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it and enjoyed the tutorial. I am working on a puffin seascape tutorial today which I hope you will enjoy too. Hopefully it will be available to watch soon. Xxx
Do you wet felt those into your scarf or needle felt them?
I normally wet felt these fibres but the can be needle felted. The mulberry silk reacts really well when wet felting as it crinkles up. Thank you for asking. X
Loved this, thanks. Very informative and a lovely refresher after attending some of your workshops.
Thank you for your lovely comment and great to hear from you again. I hope you're still felting. Xxx
How lovely! What did you call the little red pieces from the cellophane bag. Is that something that people sell? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your lovely comment. The little red woollen balls are called 'nepps'. They are a byproduct of the wool industry. I will list them in my teesdalefelt.co.uk shop if you would like to buy some. Xx
Türkiye, İstanbul'dan sevgiler. Teşekkür ederim😘💕 Çanta yapımlarını da gösterir mısınız lütfen.
Hi. Lovely to hear from you all the way from Istanbul. I will be creating a bag making tutorial in the future. Xx
Thank you for sharing. Very pretty
Thank you so much. Xx
Your voice is very, very low. I have my speaker up as high as I can go and I still can't hear you very well at all.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll make sure I wear a microphone next time.

I hope you enjoy making it and I would love to see a picture of your landscape please. x
Can you list the fibers you describe in this video?
Yes of course. Within the video are woollen nepps (small balls to represent flowers and snow etc.), mulberry silk, sari silk, angelina fibre, merino mixed with stellina fibre, Wensleydale curly locks, lace and handspun yarn. These can all be purchased at my website or on line if you do a google search. Thank you so much for watching my video. x
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!😊
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It was much appreciated. x
I so enjoyed watching you and seeing your layout. I’m a veteran felter but have only now moved into “painting with wool” as it’s now referred to. You have a very good “eye” for perspective, something I struggle with. Many thanks for this tutorial!
Hi Barbara. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It was lovely to read especially as you are an experienced felter! Xx
Thank you for your excellent step by step instructions. I’ve felted for a number of years and have always taken the netting away, you’ve given me more confidence to leave it in situ.
Hi Valerie, Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I do find the net useful but it is important to lift it early on in the felting process to make sure that any stray fibres don't become entangled and felt to it. I am so pleased you watched my video. Thank you!
Great picture and instructions 😊
Thanks so much! 😊xx
