On 16 September 2018, Kipchoge won the Berlin Marathon in a time of 2:01:39, breaking the previous world record.
In this marathon race I was a runner and it was my first marathon but there was no water at the stations so that I think was a bit awkward and not quite fair, but I survieved. AND a very great race by the runners from Kenya and Ethiopia and all that competed in Berlin 2017. Inga DK.
Acorrida toda dele ele corre como de fosse o primeiro k.....sensacional❤
13:40 pq o outro corredor q tava com ele parou?
He was a pacer

Pq os ciclistas vao ali do lado?
I hope that wheelchair racer got banned after his disgraceful behavior at the end of the race. Talk about having zero class, and zero respect for Kipchoge. He damn near went through the wrong finish line, probably would have if one of the organizers hadn’t finally intervened at the end. It’s a shame no one stopped him sooner.
It still annoys me to this day really. It almost appears like he was sticking to Eliud for the coverage. Disgraceful.
Superb thanks
Incrível 👏🏽👏🏽❤️
இலியூட் கிப்ஜோக் 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bardzo dobrze zorganizowany Marathon startowałem w nim 25 razy , ostatni start w 2017 roku. czas 5 : 03' 30" , frzeci w kategorii 80 lat. Miesiąc wcześniej w Gdańsku na maratonie Solidarności w czasie 4: 57; 09" . I tak zakończyłem karierę maratońską. 86 Maratonów w tym 25 w Berlinie. Było bardzo pięknie , tego się nie zapomina
KENYA OYEE!!🇰🇪💕🇰🇪💕👍🏾 KIPCHOGE OYEE!!👀💯
And he still beat this.
As well as Kiptum. I think the announcer was delusional to suggest it wouldn’t be broken for decades and that sub 2 hour was impossible. Records are made to be broken. Kipchoge the GOAT paved the way, and I think if Kelvin Kiptum stays healthy he could go under 2 in Berlin in within the next 5 years. The 201:25 he threw down in the rain in London with a 59:45 second half was absolutely insane. Whatever happens though, I can’t wait to watch it.
54:36 he could easily break 2 hours barrier if didn't drop that water bottle
Lol there was only 2k left in the race. Probably didn’t effect the time at all, missing the last bottle isn’t really a big deal. Notice that was the only one without a handoff? He’d have had to literally break the world record mile by a wide margin to hit sub 2 at that point.
Gila ah hebattt kaki kuat nafas panjang daya tahan luar biasa🔥🔥🔥🔥
Anyone else like me is very annoyed by all those cyclists and bikes that are always too close to the front runners going left and right all the time ? so annoying
If he had the freaking alphaflys on back then...
“Adola will know about Kipchoge” muahahahaha
That pace maker smashed his half marathon best time (by like 30 seconds) and kept pacing for a little while after that…he deserves sooo much respect for that
He's a Kenyan police

Great race!
In my life I never thought the time would come when I would be sitting down watching hours and hours of someone just running. I mean.... just running
Me neither! Since I’ve learned of Kipchoge, I’ve been watching marathons regularly. ♥️💪🏼🔥🏃♂️
He really does inspire me with my running targets.
@@eyowiji watch the last kilometers of the Berlin Marathon 2019. Unbelievable

Adola winning Gold Berlin 2021
Kipchoege luar biasa
At some point I was wondering about Adola because I wasn't familiar with him, so I pulled up his Wikipedia page while I'm watching. And the commentator started straight-up reading Adola's bio off Wikipedia. Check it out starting at 1:28:51.
2:11 the dude in front of the gun starter was unaware lmfaoooo
Probably louder than what he thought it would be lol
Excellent commentary! Does anyone know the broadcaster's full names? All I can gather so far is Tim and Chris.
Tim Hutchings & Chris Dennis
The dude who's handing kipchoge the bottles is a total rock star ⭐️ Also, I love his little celebration each time he successfully hands off a bottle. So cute!
5:20 , when kipchoge points his hands towards pacer , He was like oh boy this is so fast :P
How do u get in the first row in these kind of events??
Freaks of Nature
Probably it will sound bad but those guys running on the wheel chair almost run over him 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️.at the end line really , can you at least trying to stay out of the way , I understand that is remarkable run a maratón on a wheel chair but exactly when he is arriving they are just on his way
This is master class
Incredible effort by Adola
I can only imagine kipchoge's performance in bed 😁😂😂
😂😂
😂😂 wtf?
2021 Adola wins the berlin marathon 😂💚

I’m here for King Kipchoge.., a living legend!! African legend. Marathon legend!!! King Kipchoge💐😭💯💯💯💐💐💐
Sure he is... He came to the race after attempting Nike breaking 2hrs... And he performed well.
Wow kenya 1,2,3
makes me wonder what Kipchoge's "easy run" pace is like...
Check the 2 Miles races he has Run 😂😂😂 You'll see Mo Farah Struggling in front of him 😂😂😂

The world record was missed by 2 seconds just a year later lol. What a real shock
Good upload. 👍🏻
Kichoge didn't look tired at all at the finish line! Seems that he still had some gas left in the tank to be faster!
Huge respect to those pace makers trying to set the pace for the world's fastest man!
watching this while ironing my clothes, and he finished the race first
That's why ur name is Iran.. instead of iron lol 😂😂
@@babyvernika2135 eyyy didn't see that coming 🤣 but thanks for the pun!
Imagine being the handcyclist pedaling next to Kipchoge near the end.
Somebody should have rammed in stick in that guys spokes. He reminds me of the two chumps that run on the field when Hank Aaron broke the Bambino’s HR record. He deliberately slowed down and crowded Kipchoge, even to the point of crossing the wrong finish line, the organizer at the end almost had to physically intercede. Talk about a classless move. Guy should be ashamed of himself.
@@YogSoth Those two chumps are friends of Hank's, just saying.
@@Nobody-xe9fc Hank Aaron, being the great and generous person that he was, took no offense to their actions and in later years met them a couple of time. Saying they were friends is a huge stretch though. On the night he broke the record Hank did not know those 2 high schoolers at all. They were both arrested and taken to jail that night. Despite Hank’s graciousness towards them, they had no business being on that field that night. The home run record, much like a marathon record, is a moment of singular triumph. Aaron deserved to have the spotlight to himself on that trip around the bases in 1974. Just as Kipchoge, who very literally separated himself from the rest of humanity that morning, deserved to be alone on that final straightaway (you’ll notice all of the other wheelchair racers in the vicinity and all of the bikers, pace cars and organizers pulled away after the Brandenburg Gate). I mean, it’s not like it’s some horrible crime or anything - I just personally think it’s a classless move.

haha yes
😂😂
Good job to my brother boit, ulifanya kazi Safi.
Kipchoge tactics are insane . He has the mind capacity to run alone and that its a hard thing. You cant beat a runner who can take 20 last km alone with the same rythme.
