Class video guys 👍🏻👍🏻 new sub from me 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much mate! Really appreciate that sub! Have a great week my friend.
@ same to you guys 👍🏻
Great video, amazes me how few people now seem to understand or appreciate the sacrifices made for them so they can live their lives today. There are so many sites like this for the Hebrides to the south coast of England, lest we forget . Looked like a great camp too 😊
Thank you so much mate! Really appreciate that comment very kind of you. Totally agree mate, absolutely shocks me how people only a few years younger than myself know so little of what was sacrificed for them. Thank you again for the kindness! Really appreciate it. Have a great week.
Nice one men. Good bit of history there. Looked a lovely morning there. Hello Ella 👋
Thank you so much mate! Really appreciate the comment, and the hello to Ella haha. Hope you had a great weekend buddy.
Awesome video, the lighting of the fire is always an issue ha ha, that looks an absolutely beautiful place, definitely one to do in the future, love the drone shots also, thanks for uploading, nice video 😎
What a beautiful playground u have for exploring & wild camping 👍😎
Nice camp u even had a nice sen set while u were cooking 👍😎
Sunset
Thank you mate! It was stunning to be fair and a great spot! I just checked out your channel and really enjoyed it! Just subbed to you😎
Splendid transmission Old chaps! The unmistakable geodetic aircraft design of the fuselage of the famous Wellington laying there as a poignant reminder of those who gave their today for our tomorrow. Well done Old Chaps! Lestweforget
@@thesteakdetective Thank you so much really appreciate the comment! Such a stunning aircraft that unfortunately lays there as a reminder of those lost. Lest we forget. Thank you again!
Got you back sub buddy will watch some of you’re content when I’m back lads 🙂💪⛺️
Thank you mate! Really appreciate that! Top man😎👍🏻
Nice one. Cracking pitch. These crash sites can be quite eerie, there’s one local to me that I’ve visited a few times.
Thank you very much, really appreciate the comment! Only shame with the pitch was the darkness coming so quick took us by surprise and we forgot the lamp we usually use in the darkness to film so we weren't able to get much content of the camp as it was so dark. Which one is local to you?
@ it’s a B29 Superfortress. A visit to the B-29 Superfortress Bomber Crash Site, Strachur, Argyll ruclips.net/video/2gcBtMq7qyY/видео.html Subscribed to channel too 👍
Enjoyed this video, didn’t know about this place. Worth a visit I think 😊 liked and sub’d 🤩
Thank you very much for the comment and the sub I really appreciate it! Yes it’s a stunning place, my advice would be to get there in summer for a better experience😂 thank you so much!
Great video 🙂👍
Thank you so much for the comment! Really appreciate it! Have a great day👍🏻
@Roam.Outdoors 🙂👍
I know exactly where you are there some nice waterfalls and pools to swim in lower down in the summer
Great video lads - really enjoy it. Great little raised fire. That’s how it’s done. I bet those burgers tasted great - despite the lack of ketchup. Great views in the morning ⛰️. All the best 👍🏼
Thank you very much! Really appreciate the comment mate🙌🏻 that raised fire has been a great purchase, absolute life saver. And you’re right, can’t beat the morning views, that’s why we do it! Thank you again Craig😎👍🏻
Really nice video, good drone shots and clearly an enjoyable time, my biggest issue with a bothy is you can’t control who you share it with, but with a nice few beers and a warm fire I reckon it could be splendid. Thank you for taking us along All the best Tito 👍
Thank you so much mate! it was the first time using the drone and I forgot to put the quality to 4k but never mind! Yeah I totally agree with you, with a tent you can completely control what's inside, not so much with a bothy.. haha! Thank you so much for the comment, means the world. Catch you soon and have a great weekend.
Great video! How to contact you for business
Thank you so much that’s very kind of you! Fire us an email on: olivestravel997@gmail.com
Well local to me i know that spot, great video enjoyed that one ,i like the fire pit.
Thank you mate I really appreciate the kind comment! It’s a stunning spot, hopefully one day we can link up and get a camp up there👍🏻🙌🏻
Great video guys... I love the arguments over the fire lighting. I think that's standard practice when multiple blokes are around a fire (normally undocumented though)😂😂
@@CanvasandPeaks 😂😂😂 all access on this channel! Yeah maybe I am pretty poor on the fire, I’ll let Ross win this one… but thank you for the comment! Really appreciate it, very kind of you. Next video is out Sunday where we wild camp next to a crashed WW2 bomber, hope you catch it!
Enjoyed that. Much less activity than I had when I stayed in a Bothy in Scotland! Subbed :-)
Thank you very much! really appreciate the comment and the sub!! I just watched your bothy video, great video and I've also subbed back, looks like a fantastic channel.
Cracking guys very entertaining never experienced a bothy being a ex squady I slept in many places but not one of those on my list hopefully no mice 😂
Thank you for the comment I really appreciate it! haha being ex military too I can totally agree that the bothy is a brand new experience, and the mouse was a new experience haha! Thank you for watching mate really appreciate it!
Good luck in Austalia 😂
Thank you!🤣 She’s there safe and well. Hopefully she makes it back alive with some great Australia content to share on this channel too🤣
@Roam.Outdoors Glad to read that, can handle mice here but nothing over there lol
@@johnduffy5720 😂😂😂 yeah the mice are different beasts over here apparently? I doubt it! 😂
I love this video! And the best audio 🙌
Thank you, the video loves you too!
Great video, thanks for the bothy tips 👍 nice bunch of people.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate the comment, mega kind of you! So glad you enjoyed. Let us know if you camp in a bothy anytime soon👍🏻
Leave the wench home next time..🙄🙄🙄🙄😉😉😉😉
True, and I wasn’t the same I was both frailer and immesurably stronger.
Stronger mind?
@ Stronger mentally, more resillient.
Thank you for taking care of the place as to mice/rats , always hang food etc in the roof if poss and any trash should be in a closed bin if there is one for those who are not used to it.
Unfortunately there was a lot of rubbish and food left by previous users so I think we were a bit stuffed in terms of the mice/rats that night, but thank you! We took some rubbish so hopefully the next have less intruders🤣 me and Ross didn’t mind but Olivia not so much! Thank you for the advice and the comment though I really appreciate it! Hope you enjoyed the video😊
@ Really enjoyed it and was really happy to see that there are such places in Wales, Norway has something similar but with keys if you are a member, Sweden has lean- to’s and also staffed mountain huts, as do Slovenia and Germany ( unsure though if they have un-staffed in the latter two) It is so cool to be able to come to a cottage like that, used to be active in a community of larpers where we had a couple of cottages from the 18th century which we took care of and also in the community built and used larping villages kinda like SCA but cheated and used machine tools where not immediatly obvious ;)
have to be honest,i have nothing positive to say about the welsh, fact not insult BUT you get a like anyway for being a new channel.
🤣🤣 this is a new comment for a new channel. Thank you for your support though! And sorry for what has made you not like the welsh, there’s loads of great ones out there and hopefully we can change your opinion, thank you🤙🏻
That mouse! He owns that bothy!😂
Especially when it’s the size of a small dog😂!
@@Roam.Outdoors It was well feed, let’s agree on that 😂
Enjoyed this. Thank you for the bothy tip.May be will visit it one day, Wales is on my list to explore.
Thank you very much for the comment, I really appreciate it! It is in a amazing location, if you need any advice on where to visit on wales, let us know🙌🏻
Well done guys - decent audio/video quality and original dialogue between you two. Interesting knife and background info. Keep it up.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed and it’s great to have the feedback on the dialogue, we try and keep it as natural as possible so thank you for that! We have a new video out Sunday where we wild camp in a bothy! Should be our best yet, hope you tune in! Thank you👍🏻

Just Subscribed. Nice channel Lads...
Thank you so much mate! Really appreciate the support🙌🏻 be plenty of videos coming soon! Thank you👍🏻
Location pls
This is in the black mountain range in south wales! There’s a long form video on my channel called “my first ever wild camp”, that has what the area looks like exactly. It’s really not far from the path there. I can pass more details if needed👍🏻
New sub 👍Nice pitch you had there. Winter is coming atb Taff 🤠👊
Thank you mate! I looked on your channel and I’ve watched a few of your videos before and really enjoyed them! Thank you very much for the sub and comment, I’ve subbed you and can’t wait the next one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@Roam.Outdoors Cheers Pal. I've not been out for about 5 months. Too many weekends have been pissing down and on dry weekends I've been doing maintenance around the property before winter sets in. It's really frustrating but RUclips isn't the be all and end all. I'm hoping to be out in the coming weeks for a shakedown camp. Atb Taff 🤠👊
I tried to climb it in torrential rain and wind last year, think it was October, but eventually we turned around... not sure how far we got but we gave it a good go.
You are lacking an essential piece of kit. Whisky. If you have a dry sleeping bag and a wee nip of whisky ,all is well with the world.
I had a Jack and Coke in a can so I wasn’t far off!🤣 but I totally agree, need some more of the good stuff.
Good first wild camp guys! Will follow your others. Check ours if you wish 😊
Thank you so much! Just subbed to you guys, can’t wait to see your journey🙌🏻
New sub from me mate. Keep them coming. ☘️☘️🤙
I really appreciate that mate, comments like that mean a lot! Thank you so much 👍🏻
@@Roam.Outdoorsenjoy the process and watch the burnout. 🙌
@@soletrail thank you for the advice, goes a long way! I just had time to check out a load of you videos, the camera shots are crazy good! Just subbed and looking forward to the next👍🏻👍🏻
@@Roam.OutdoorsGood one you mate and thanks for the sub. You have a good presence on came. Looking forward to your next one. 👏👏
Enjoyed the video lads, great start would think you been doing this longer so looking forward to more, brave time to get going coming into winter in Wales 🙂. Liked the stories so important and as Martin @soletrail says good presence and interaction he is very good at talking to camera so check more of his videos out for Irish banter, subbed 👍
Looked like a great camp 👍
Thank you very much! No wind and a stunning view, unfortunately we couldn’t escape the cold🥶
Few years back couple of folks died on the summit there are being stuck by lightning…thunder storm just rolled in on a lovely summers day. There were rumours they were waving selfie sticks about but don’t know if any truth to that. Was up there Saturday morning just gone and a nice clear morning at bottom but blowing an absolute hoolie on the saddle between Corn Du and PYF. On a side note I never understand people who walk through the stream when there is a bridge right there. 😂
The weather can change so quick up there and a leisurely stroll turns into you can’t see where you’re going🤣. With us the bridge was under maintenance so had to go through the water at the end, was already soaked so didn’t make much of a difference🤣
@@Roam.Outdoors for sure…3 seasons in one day. To be fair it’s a totally different beast in the Winter. I know it like back of my hand up there but got caught in a total white out up there once at bottom of Jacob’s Ladder and just had to sit it out. 😬
@@racingspoon that’s crazy! I totally agree, people don’t understand how pen y fan can be dangerous in certain conditions. I once ignored everyone’s advice in snow conditions to turn back and next thing, couldn’t see a metre in front of me. Luckily I came across two Marines with a GPS who I tagged along with to get to the top, wish I had my go pro, would’ve made a great video 🤣
"The Ending is truly Eye Opening" *Zoro enters chat*
The weather switched up pretty quick! But the camp was still awesome!🏕️ Can’t wait for the next!
Great to get you out of the sun and into the rain!🤣
Great video- love the location and the food looked great! I started wild camping myself early this year and have enjoyed quite a few adventures already- on my channel I made a video about this and what I learnt from my first wild camp (I went camping with a guy who has been doing it for decades!)- quite a steep learning curve! I found a few tips for you; Cook on a stove rather than a fire- some people can be a bit funny about fires, even if there is no trace left. I recommend good head torches too as well as good walking shoes. If you are going to camp in winter make sure you have a good sleeping mat with a high R value, and a good sleeping bag and down jacket. Subscribed to see more of your adventures!
Thank you very much! That’s awesome advice and we’ll definitely take note of that! I was really wondering about what kind of kit maybe needed for a winter camp as I don’t want the cold to effect my enjoyment on camps so I really appreciate the sleeping mat advice as well! Thank you, I’ve just checked out your channel and it looks great! I’ve subscribed too, looking forward to seeing your next video.
@@Roam.Outdoors Thank you! Next video in a week, hopefully wild camp high up on Dartmoor. You'll see me making mistakes but all part of the learning curve! Looking forward to your next
Good job, boys. You picked a great spot for your first camp. I enjoyed a good night pitched here earlier in the year. It's one big learning curve, the more you do it, the easier and more enjoyable it becomes. Keep up the good work! P S. this is The Black Mountain (range), sometimes confused with The Black Mountains in the Eastern Beacons.
Hi Ryan, this is a pretty cool comment as I subscribed to your channel from one of of your first videos and taken a lot of inspiration from them! Great to see your journey is going so well. Thank you for the advice I really appreciate it! If you and the dog are able to teach me a few things one day, that would be superb👍🏻. Thank you again.
@@Roam.Outdoors thank you, mate, that's nice to hear. Of course, I'm always happy to help if I can. I've subscribed and look forward to following your journey. Cheers!
Herberts Quarry? Bivvied up around there a while ago.
Yes spot on! Absolutely stunning there. What’s it like to bivvy? I’m hoping to do that some time in the future, looks awesome.
For fook sake £360 for a table, for one no way they should have tables under there. They must make a killing off people with that scam, forgive me l'm an old boy but most places surely are free. Maybe a nightclub entrance fee but not have to pay for table other than VIP. Glad apart from that you tucked it up and didn't let it spoil your night 🍺🍺🍺🥳
Great video, thats a nice camping spot for sure!
Thank you! Really appreciate that comment! Honestly, couldn’t of picked a better camping spot, hopefully better organisation next time and we can enjoy it more 😂
Amazing!
