I also say forget the WD-40. The best solution is a mix of 1/2 Automatic transmission oil and 1/2 diesel. Ive taken frozen motors in a junk yard and had them running after a couple days of sitting after being broken loose by hand first. Which is easy after it sits at least a day.

Moved into a rental where the landlord used the GFCI cord from a hairdryer to connect the vent hood over the stove. It ran out of a hole they drilled into the side of the cabinet above the hood. The cord ran down the wall and was plugged into a receptacle next to the stove. Good stuff.
