Driving the 1909 Stanley Model R 20HP Steam Car.
Best car video I ever saw
I'd love to go for a drive in the countryside in something like this!
A steam air-compressor for a compressed air car'd be phenomenal.
God, i would (metaphorically) kill for a steam car
Way a car from 19th century?!😵
“ARTHUR, MORE LEMYONE RAIDERS ON THIS SIDE!”
No hay, no oats, no drinking water, no taking it to the vet. The steam car makes perfect sense! 🤷🏻♂️
This is SteamChair !!! DampfStuhl )))
How many miles a gallon does it get
i need one!!
It’s like in howls moving castle
This must be in Sweden, am I correct. Nice video.
👍👍👍👍👍
Would have been better without the piano
" comfortable wheelchair"
In 1900, these cost about $1000 - the same as paying $152,000 today
How well can this thing goes up a little steep hill ?
Beautiful Car
No music please
Fantastic video...ruined by the music.
Has this vehicle a differential?
Rockstar needs to add this to red dead 2 i wanna see arthur and john crusing in this doing drive bys
Yes, this would be more likely, however I'd like to see a bit more as the game ends around 1908 or so, so perhaps a oldsmobile, buick, studebaker, maxwell, stanley, daimler (well, the american made daimler models) really the list goes on and on. And have a glass windowed building with a nice Packard or Cadillac that you can purchase in Saint Denis, gee that would be nice.
They should’ve at least added cars in Saint Denis in the epilogue since it’s in 1907.
Man if only they didn't abandon the game...
Please remove the music. I want to hear the operation of the car.
Brand new old car.
literally moved to water !!
Så fruktansvärt charmigt!
what a handsome steam car !!!
Excelente y casi no contaminaba pues era vapor muy poco combustible fósil como una carne asada
W.O.W.
Would have been nice to hear the car.....
Amazed that people know how to start these cars up. They must somehow pass along those directions from generation to generation.
Where are the brake drums?
Hi, it is a band around the differential, at the centre of the rear axle.
@@ghounslow691 Thanks, I am old but that method of brakes for cars s older than I am by quite a few years!
Wow love these cars!!!!!!!!
Absolutely would love to have one a dream of mine
I’m in the USA this is a dream of mine to have a steam car one day !!!! I would Absolutely love it
Steam traction world sells a kit you get parts for over a span of 24 months and you give them a down payment every time wand they look like thst
How can anyone in there right mind dislike this video ...!? I love that music. What’s the name of that tune and who is playing it ..?
I suspect the point they're making is....the video isn't about pianos, and the music coming from the vehicle can't be heard because of the piano. I'm not grumbling as i didn't pay to see the video... just saying what the consensus of opinion is.
Along about 1993 or '94, my wife was suggesting that we replace our 1970s car with something from the '90s. So I looked in Hemmings and found one of these. "Here you go, dear. Something from the '90s". "Wrong '90s!!!" she shouted.
that's awesome man XD
😀 JOE BOB AND HIS WIFE ROCK!
The very best kind!
Please turn down the music, I can't hear the sound of the motor.
*My thoughts EXACTLY!*
I agree , pianos are everywhere....
12 trees to the mile
You put some medicine in the water tank and it becomes an effective road sanitizer
Beautyful
I wish a car like this was in RDR2. I always think it would be a neat DLC or something if there was a side mission where a car dealership opened up in Saint Denis. It would make even more since if it happened during the epilogue, since it takes place in 1907. You could have a series of missions helping establish the dealership, and when you’re done, you can buy a car. Even if they don’t let you buy one, it would at least be cool to see a few NPC’s driving them.
tbh there should be cars in saint denis by 1907, cause at that time cars were occasionally found on the streets
@@joeldaniels-akacringeevery7650 Yeah, if Saint Denis is the equalivent of New Orleans, it not some backwater either. Hell there's a whole district full of Mansions. Those rich french guys would be snapping at the bit to be the first one with a chauffeured car around town.
@@gregoryborton6598 the thing is, there were major differences between 1899 and 1907. In 1899, the streets were more narrow, with no cars on the streets, less electricity (arc lamps) and fewer buildings. By 1907, the streets were wide enough with cars and horses, with most cities being electrified and taller buildings into the equation. I can't really put the finger on rockstar because it would be have been too much work if they had to vastly change Saint Denis for historical accuracy between 1899 and 1907. It's still really cool for a historical geek like me.
Saint Denis would for sure have cars during RDR1 which took place in the 1910s.
I think this is the car Lenny talks about in rdr2
me going down the hill.... yea! steam cart! drift, crash... rebuild do it again.
Why this Steam car making sound while running ?? 🤔🤔🤔
Some steam engines capture and condense the spent steam so it can be pumped back into the boiler. Those engines are fairly quiet. Other engines, like this one, just exhaust the steam from the cylinder directly to the atmosphere, so you hear a chug chug just like a steam locomotive. Range is limited by the amount of water it carries, as well as fuel.
@@johnb6418 oh , thanks for reply
2:23 is that a fuel too steam regulator on the Locomobile like the White steam cars or steam ventilation every time the pistons travels a full power stroke?
Style !!!... Brain guys, brain !!!...🧠🧠🧠!!!👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🏁🏁🏁🏁....
Gabe Newell Love's it
I'd Love to own this vehicle or even a modern day replica...
Imagine how much fossil fuel would be saved if we used these. We wouldn't have bad ass cars anymore though lol
The steam is generated by a fossil fuel.
@@stephenarling1667 :) but they can be jetted to run on bio diesel, or possibly ethanol. Cheers
@@duncanmcharg True. They could even have been run on wood or other biomass.
@@stephenarling1667 What biomass? Do you want to cut down even more forests, or do you want to burn *trash? Plus normal cars can be modified for Methane and most Diesel engines can use Ethanol. *The only things I can think of for trash that are flammable are paper and plastic products. Burning paper instead of recycling it just goes back to the deforestation issue, and making every car burn plastic is literally the worst thing I can think of that you can do to the environment.
@@RRW359 Any waste from agricultural processes could be used as fuel. Vehicles have even been run from methane produced by fermenting manure. www.motherearthnews.com/green-transportation/chicken-manure-car-fuel-zmaz71jazgoe
