Congratulations on finding and reacting to a hidden sci-fi classic! I practically never comment on RUclips videos (sorry algorithm peeps lol), but I simply wanted to do so for your reaction, as you more than deserved one. Not only are you a very observant and knowledgeable young man, but between peppering in your commentary with well seen references and commentary, you are also allowing us to view some of your genuine reactions and insights. Far to often I see reactors playing up their own “reactions” for simple views. Conversely there are also reactors who seem to revel in being obtuse in a “let me show you how intelligent I am” as they bludgeon their audience with quips or insights and will then completely (or seemingly) talk over and miss the film they’re reacting to… you however, have a fantastic balance between honest dialogue to engage your audience as well as heart felt responses to a the source material itself. It’s remarkably refreshing and engaging as this balance is very hard to find amongst other RUclips reactors. Heh, you also pointed out something I’d never seen before in this film (in which I’ve watched dozens of times). That would be T.D.s face laying on the marble floor of that quick establishing post fight office shot lol. I’m kind of surprised that I never caught that before, and perhaps that’s because I was too busy enjoying the scene, but nevertheless I’m happy that you and your quick wit pointed this out :D Please, keep it up! Fuckin incredible film, watched it over 50 times. A true gothic American thriller masterpiece.

Possibly the most badass scene in the history of sci-fi: "No, Not without incident... I'm coming"

*69 was the code you could dial on your home phone to call back the person who last called you (as phones had no displays or memories back then this code worked directly with your landline carrier and use of it would appear as a premium charge on your bill (¢50 per use if memory serves). For a similar fee you could *67 redial the last number that called out from your own phone and if you wanted to make a covert call and were afraid of someone *69ing the call to discover who had called (with a callback perhaps into an answering machine hours later) you could always *67 then add the numbers of the person you want to covertly call and it will block the recipients *69 ability to call you back! Just a little Gen X top tech tip 👴 :)

This is oddly one of the movies I think of more often than others... due to the theme (of what ifs...)

I'm not convinced the first two times the wind was mentioned, it was Lydia. First of, she hangs around Klaus. Second: There is a sparkle in the wind when she is active (clearly missing with the map) We don't see the wind when getting the letter to Jesper, but there is no way she could have known the effects it would have. She must have godlike insight and prediction powers for that to work. Instead of a loving wife that wants the best for her love, she left behind. And just uses the opportunity that was presented when Jesper showed up. Not planning for the Christmas idea, but just a step to make him care again. To make him happy. And doing it again when Jesper returns, seeing an even bigger chance. The wind locking Jesper up, I just don't know. It is where Lydia resides, but does it add anything for her? And can she make the wind that strong? Great movie though :D

Just finished it. GOSH! That was like incredibly interesting and i just absolutely loved it....

your enthusiasm (lol “I’m gonna throw up” at Riptide) matches so many who have been waiting this like me. I haven’t experienced a book adaption of both a childhood series and one that I have loved. I personally like that the magic component was downplayed, but I’m not big on fantasy elements personally and am more here for the great heart Rick put into the original series.

If you haven’t seen it, It’s A Wonderful Life (1946) is the best Christmas movie ever made. If your friend cries at Klaus, she will definitely cry at this movie.

I hate that Spacey improv like throwing the plate occurs. that’s creepy. films should have support for that. I loved the random facts. adds much more context I didn’t know about and I’m always loving more analysis. only thing is maybe leave the facts longer. I kept having to pause and rewind to read them. so I still think they’re not trying to excuse people, but show how if a such miserable people can find joy at the end of their life, maybe we can too. the scenes with Angela were too offputting sonically for them to want the audience to side with him in any way. he could have been seen as a working class hero, but then they throw a wrench in that by him lying about harassment. same with the stalker guy. he is like an intentionally creepy Edward Cullen with a little more elegant if misplaced philosophy. I would argue that the two loner kids deserve some more lenience with how their parents are. stalker guy should have put the camera down to signify he respects her. that is if they wanted to be taken more seriously and not give the wrong message, but if you let your kids watch this for romantic models- that’s on you. subscribed for your in-depth visual and verbal analysis. I see you have my two favs Arcane and Invincible. if you’re looking for a striking film with a little less creepiness, try Parasite! also, given this reaction and your Truman Show reaction, I think you’d enjoy Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Her, Memento, The Prestige, and Train to Busan (last one less psychological, but just a emotional ride).

In my opinion his "wife" is so enamoured with being a worldwide celebrity she's willing to have a baby and give up her life just to be an actress. Really trippy when you think about today's social media landscape where people basically do this to themselves willingly.

I would have loved to see Mitsuha as Mitsuha in the last scene confront her father. The father is running for reelection, he thinks she is crazy, but she and her gang have just committed a terrorist attack on the power station. So he is convinced by Mitsuha his only move is to declare a full blown test emergency evacuation to the High School as a cover-up to save his own skin in the game, and then she is proved right. If you translate the Japanese in the news clippings that are shown on screen, you can see the controversy.

The puddles in the sun after a Spring rain as they run through the city propelled forward by the force of an unknown feeling in their hearts. Changed my understanding of storytelling forever. Nothing more...nothing less...than a beautiful movie.

This is where the show hits its stride and shows what kind of show it will be. When you said how dark Clarke killing Atom was, I thought, ‘O brother, you ain’t seen nothing yet.’ Since you have already watched Episode 5, as well as the end of this episode, I guess you know by now!

Wanna give you another view. The Movie isnt Right in all points. Stauffenberg was also a national socialist. He just thought Hitler is not the right leader and he wanted peace. But he was a Nazi. His last shout was not „Long live sacred germany“ but „Long live national socialistic Germany.“ So there is no reason, calling him a hero. Giving the one Person the pistol, was an act Of Merciness. Because in germany they didnt punished your Family, when you comitted suicide before a court found you guilty.
