Shure MoveMic would be a good third choice, in my opinion beats both Rode and DJI for form factor and quality.

I like the layour of Davici Resolve for the wholistic editing experience and visuals of seeing the audio levels ete however I wondering if you should just export the XML to Final Cut Pro DIrcetly. I solely use FCP with a tool called Timebolt however it doesn't cut the clips like Firecut does so. I think you could just go directly from Premiere Pro to FCP with that XML file.

I love using the Zoom F6 for my audio capture because it'll record in stereo export as one file, but multiple channels. Then you can go into Adobe Audition and export into multiple Mono Files and then run WTAutomixer and use it to automix for me. This is great because it'll really optimize audio for the speaker and eliminate comb filtering. Now I understand that the Rodecaster pretty much does all that but i like having a little more granular control in post after the fact. And then if i need to run something like autopod, i'll also have each of those individual audio files for each person and that'll run the way you have it running with the auto switching. Having the ATEM extreme ISO is rather nice too because EVERYTHING will be sync'd up for me. Like you, once i have everything done, i'll bring it all into FCPX to do all my finishing with compression, intro, outro, and stuff with my plugins. Great video, as always!

Being able to sync the elements by the audio like you did seems super handy. Way less fiddly than having to do that step manually (which is never a perfect science)

That’s an interesting workflow. I can see where it can save time. Have not heard of Firecut. I usually upload Guest and Host clips to Descript and apply templates to sub-clips for podcast promotion. The Multicam tool in Premiere is something I use where I want t bit more control. Recently invested in a ATEM Mini ISO so I can generate program out in addition to isolated footage. Limited to 1080p. Maybe a silly question. But would I benefit from a streamer x if I am trying to have a 2 person podcast and 1 camera setup. My Sony a7c can be recognized as a webcam on my MacBook. I would then use my wireless go II with the interview handle. I would prefer to use XLR mics (or 1 XLR + WG2 for an occasional guest).

Thanks for the well informed video! I've embraced the small form factor of the 𝛼6700. Being small certainly has its disadvantages, but being small has its advantages, too. I shoot a lot of doc style projects and I've found that the smaller form factor of the camera is less intimidating to non-professional talent. I purposely did not buy a cage nor too many other add-ons for my 𝛼6700 for this purpose. For me, the 𝛼6700 mostly lives on a gimbal anyway, so less stuff on the camera works well for that. Plus, I have a couple of clients who've embrace the small form factor and the 𝛼6700 certainly fits great into that category. Luckily it performs big! (By the way, I use the Sony 10-20mm APSC lens for gimbal work and it totally rocks!) Quick note on the overheating issue...I have not experienced it with the 𝛼6700. Just yesterday I was filming outside for several hours in the Texas heat and had no problems. (My client likes to shoot XAVC HS 4K, 4:2:2 10 Bit, 24fps in S-Gamut3.Cine/S-log3) I did try to keep the camera/gimbal rig in the shade when not rolling, but this was because the matte box top flag of the Tilta Mini was so hot in the sun I couldn't touch it. Luckily, we finished filming outside before the hottest part of the day, but the ambient temp was 95˚F by the time we were done. (I think I was more overheated than the camera!)

I believe your Analog Audio you are sending back to the Ninja V is going to be out of sync. You can correct it in the Ninja V. However if it works. 🙂

I don't shot professionally yet but I've had my 6700 for a couple of months now.. First problem was overheating, I went into the settings and chabged the overheating limit settings to high, now I can shot longer in 4k 24fps. The longest I've gone is 1 hr plus indoors. Thanks for sharing

4:2:2 10 bit all the way! I never do heavy color grading but all the extra info to push things just a tiny bit to get the look you want is incredible. Also, the ttartisan 27mm 2.8 (the og for cheap 27mm lenses) is my favorite purchase...if I ever want something to look fun straight out of camera I use that. 27mm quickly becoming a favorite focal length and that darn 27 1.2 isn't helping...I want it soooooooo bad 😂 Awesome video!

Dumb question. I understand the video and mic with the device on zoom. But how do you listen to your clients on your zoom meetings while talking into the mic and giving the sound effects? I’m assuming you must be wearing headphones? You cannot use monitor speakers correct?

DJI Osmo Pocket 3 focus is terrible. I tried to use it a few times for real estate, most footage is unsuable all out of focus.
