Interesting seeing the DF7 being dragged with that freight train. I wonder if it's used for shunting at the destination, or if it's just a positioning move? The railways in China are fascinating, especially the size of all the structures compared to what we have in the UK! I went to Nanjing a few years ago and remember seeing the railway bridge over the Yangtze, and what looked like an old terminus station near it. Did you explore the city much?

i suppose the 73 stock carriage in the middle was a spare one and so it was taken and modified for the TRT?

It has ATP equipment installed and so it is fully compatible to run on the Central line, along with the two 1962 stock Sandite rail trains at both ends.
