Diamonds Are Forever : Blofeld's Killer Satellite
Просмотров 183 тыс.14 лет назад
Blofeld has launched the laser-powered killer satellite - as Bond looks on helplessly the ruthless head of SPECTRE holds the entire world to ransom .... oh and some girl wanders about in a bikini. John Barry's background score is known as 007 and counting or Blofeld's laser.
Never realised a nuclear exposion would just be a puff of white smoke
“Bah-Ha?? I haven’t got anything in Bah-Ha!”
And people give the CGI surf scene from DAD a bad rap.
Shades of Godzilla!
This dream SDI program that Reagan wanted us to have😛
SDI was not conceptualized to destroy ground targets, an impossibility with ‘80s level of tech regardless.
Is the chap in the blue shirt, the American sub captain in the spy who loved me?
The world's about to go to sh!t and all Bond could think of is a piece of snatch: *"Where's Tiffany?"*
Pretty impressive that Blofeld was able to track submarines four years before the tracking system in The Spy Who Loved Me was a plot point.
The infamous desert region of North Dakota.
To W.W. who do supose that is? Willie Wonka? Walter White? Wil Wheaton maybe? Willard White?... You got me
How did Blofeld know where the Russian submarine was with such accuracy? 🤔
This score is masterful. You just don't get this in modern movies anymore.
it's too late thom , taxes too high, your ideas stupid. feds own you and Biden. electoral college enslaves you.
Hey guys, it's happening!
Lahaina, Maui ANYONE?!
Perfect trajectory,all systems go.
Jimmy Dean as the victim going ballistic is priceless.
Ah, 007 and Counting complements the scene so perfectly. Sets and ominous yet mysterious tone, filled with suspense. Absolutely flawless.
Memories of Annie… RIP you absolute ledge
I first heard this song when #AnnieNightingale - who died today - played it on her show. My GODS, the woman could pick ’em!!
Love this scene. Classic John Barry at his best. The film is terrific.
Just, simply, a classic…..
01:28: IT'S A PASTA STRAINER.
3:27 maui
Hilarious, scary, consumate musicianship. Brilliant. I have the 7"" single still but no record player 😢
Musk is Blofeld, nobody knows it yet😜
More like Klaus Schwab.
"No time to die" would be a better film with the soundtrack by J. Barry
All of the Craig films would have been.
@@michaelschramm1064 yeah
I love the movie and the soundtrack is amazing. But the effects are so cheesy
Not cheesy by the standards of its time.
@@john-si9ycActually they are, given how amateurish they appear next to “2001” and “Silent Running”.
Diamonds Are Forever has always interested me because the USA probably already has weapons in space much more powerful than this. Despite this 50+ year old treaty in-place. 'The 1967 Outer Space Treaty bans the stationing of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in outer space, prohibits military activities on celestial bodies, and details legally binding rules governing the peaceful exploration and use of space.'
Is it just me or can you hear the diamonds in the music❤
That’s the Sausage Guy Jimmy Dean
Who hasnt wanted to say get me Strategic Air Command!
Excellent movie 🇺🇲🇬🇧
Throughout the whole scene Connery's Bond is like "Fuck it, Blofeld got a Diamond laser tough shit" "Now can I join Willy for a shit."
The real Alan Parsons Proyect.
Would like to know how a sausage maker came to play Willard Whyte
What was really dumb about Die Another Day was that they ripped off the concept of the diamond satellite weapon from Diamonds Are Forever as if we wouldn't notice?
Hair hanging loose like a sibilant Harpy!
suburban
@@shriekback oh crikey you are quite right! All these decades I have heard 'sibilant' - do you know that scene from Jason & The Argonauts where the Harpies steal Phineas' food - and they constantly hiss! Still - such awesome lyrics - I shan't complain!
The reason why the effects look so cheap, even for 1971, was because a significant portion of the budget went to Sean Connery's then-record salary.
Top notch special effects 😆 🤣 😂
😆 🤣 😂
Connery's eyebrows appeared in In Like Flint / Russian premier🍉👶🍸💎💎💎
A moment where a villain, even though stopped at the end of the movie, technically won
Mr white, Phone call for ya from washington! urgent! "i'll catch it in the jon"
The lilting musical score of John Barry elevates yet another Bond film. Gadgetry aside, the musical scores of John Barry and the powerful vocals of Shirley Bassey became a Bond movie signature.. The music from this excerpted scene was just so beautifully lush--like floating on air yet balanced by those majestic powerful horns balanced by that awesome string section..
I WANT A DIAMOND ENCRUSTED KILLER LASER SATELLITE
the futility of pacifism.. this film is perfect...
I wonder if this knowledge is going to hurt the value of his rookie card?
Take ur meds
Energy weapons will never get that powerful from space
That’s a very good movie with a great musical score, and low budget and cheesy FX.
