I have been living a self sufficiency driven lifestyle at my self-build home in Harare for years where I raise heritage chickens, turkeys & ducks and I grow almost all my fruit needs(avocados, apples,plums,mangoes, bananas all kinds of citrus and berries) , veggies & flowers organically.I'm finalizing the acquisition of a homestead back home in the Eastern Highlands.I hope one day (God willing) our paths will cross.

Hi can you assist to find a homested in your area

Here in rural Australia it is the opposite, although most things are grown in the country or rural the big shop companies buy it, so the farmers can't sell it to the local people and it works out so much cheaper in the city. For example in our small town a dozen/12 eggs were almost $10, I had to travel to a larger town for a doctors appointment and went shopping and found a dozen eggs for $5.19 so much difference. Meat is extremely expensive, we used to buy offal, kidneys, liver cheaply but now it's almost impossible to get and if you can find it it's still expensive. Real pieces of meat, steak, are way out of my budget. I also can't afford pork, or lamb and goat is hard to get and also expensive, I am very happy for you, thankyou for the information

The million dollar question on how to get such rural Virgin land was not answered satisfactorily. I would not think talking to a local chief will get you such a big land. Reason we are looking for land too

great video...surprisingly its not only groceries that are cheaper in rural areas even building materials too,I remember when we did somes tombstones in the village we bought tiles and cement in Harare but later found out we would have saved 30% if we had bought at our local growth point(same brands) and also saved on transport costs

The majority and the one I have as abuilding contract displays No professionalism, they don’t care about their reputation, they don’t see the need to protect their “brand” aka their name. No vision for repeat / references for more business. No sense of pride… just kungovharana vharana is the norm. So sad kuti a professional needs to be micromanaged 😔

its absolutely amazing the quality of life in rural Zimbabwe , we need to support all the local rural economy because it is the next big thing , by supporting the good businesses that offer genuine products , we actually help them grow. The Eastern Highlands is by far the best place to live in Zimbabwe . If Angels lived on earth , they would most certainly live within the Honde and Manica Valleys , hands down the freshest air and water . Thanks for the price comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its actually cheaper to buy in the rural areas than in Harare, my Mum always prohibits us from shopping for her in Harare , Thanks for the informative video.
