Are the newer versions of Capture One Mobile in a better place for full editing (2025)?

Hi friend, your comparison has really generated a lot of comments. I guess it’s something that interests many of us. Personally, I know it might be a bit tedious, but I’d love to see a comparison with the internal codecs, like the internal open gate vs BM’s, as well as ProRes. I feel like the Lumix has its tricks. But if not, either way, thank you very much for your video.

I don't know, the 100mp sensor isn't good for video, it have too much rolling shutter and processing 100mp today is crazy. It could be better with the 50mp sensor, for top open gate resolution.

32 Bit Float doesn't mean you automatically get great audio if the location is not good for sound. You should spend just as much money for a high end mic then you do on lenses...,

How long does the Smallrig 99 v-mount last between needing to swap it out or charge it etc?

I know a lot of people say rolling shutter doesn’t matter but it does. I was on a project and we needed to do whip pans and it made a huge difference. I don’t want to teach it doesn’t matter when there may be some instances that it really does.

I have been using the the blackmagic monitors for years with the Samsung SSD's to record proRes backup files to all my BLKmagic cameras and Braw to my fuji 100S and and the XH2S , On a side note its interesting that blackmagic limits its own cameras to proRes on the video assist but allows other camera brands to record Braw

Yo this is nice! Well done! The skating parts the rolling shutter doesn’t look bad at all! Did you use gyro stabilisation in post to correct? If not I’m impressed! My pyxis has sat on my shelf for weeks, I’m keen to dust it off!

The front USB-C is a 1080p wired output with 2 way OS control (Pyxis monitor only). The 12G Blackmagic Video Assist can take the SDI/BNC signal out of the back of the camera, to record up to 4K on the VA in ProRes or BRAW. The USB-C on the back of the camera is 6K wired data output for SSD recording, and a wired output for "Cell Phone to Cloud 1080p Proxies" (depends on 'phone) with free app and storage. Over-all, there is also a iPhone and Android Remote "Camera Control" app via Bluetooth - $17 (OS menu only, no visuals). The LAN is the fastest transfer method (no expensive CFexpressB Card Reader needed). Laptop, Browser, Copy and Paste. $5 CAT cable. LIve stream too.

Update: Just realized, that I don’t know the quality coming out of the usb could be 1080p so I don’t recommend recording though usb but through sdi if you want pro res. The front usb is solely for monitoring if your sdi port breaks due to protocol Failure.

Why not using thr sdi port?

what resolution and fps you can record in prores on your setup?

I'm able to get an image on the 12G if I select ProRes. But images flickers a bit.

what was the shutter speed adjustment you made at the end of the video?

I bought the PYXIS. First impression, super great camera. But when I filmed out of the window the next day and saw the rolling shutter effect when I wiggled the camera in my hands, I was almost in tears. The rolling shutter is very bad. Previously I have shot with BMPC 6k G2, FX3, FS7, FX9 and never seen such a bad shutter. I am thinking about returning the camera.

This was suggested to me three times. It wasn’t until this time that I caved and I gotta say, bravo

I have pretty good vision, but I'm telling you, focusing a Hasselblad ain't easy. The viewfinder probably makes it a little bit easier because you are properly aligned with the ground glass and you don't have light hitting it from your surroundings, but still..

On the Pyxis, Shooting anything below 1250 ISO will only shift the middle grey, so it doesn't actually make for less noise. This is why most people would only use it at 400ISO and 1250ISO. (1250 and not 3200 because on 1250 you tend to expose more to the right, netting you less noise) shooting up to 1000 ISO would do the opposite, and may result in more noise instead!

1:09 was that a PUPG Kar98k shooting sound? Or was ist just a trunk? You never know... xD

The Pyxis has a beautiful image

Pixis looks more filmic and more pleasing - Lumix is sharper image which I guess is why looks more digital
