I've ordered a second cylinder to play around with some light porting. I plan on doing a before and after crank balance too with nothing else changed to see if it's worth the effort. This motor vibrates like crazy, it's so bad the engine mounts came loose after a few pulls. It seems like a good candidate. Today we're testing my new BT100 (Sold by @tdrmoto in Australia). With our custom expansion chamber and high flowed carb we're seeing just under 7.5HP! I'm expecting 8-9HP once our VM18 carb arrives and we get the jetting dialed in. This pipe is designed for the BT100 stock port timings and with a power peak at 7000RPM. Hey man, it'd be great if you do more hybrid builds with different pipes/carbs/porting and what not (such as ported 70cc iron minarelli, athena sport, athena hyper, racing, athena 80 jog, MXS racing jug, piaggio and more) if you can afford it or if someone sends those to you to dyno. It would tell us how much hp it's pushing. I always wondered how much hp my 70cc athena sport actually pushes, I always guessed around 10hp. Depending on what site you buy the jugs from, you can always return them after testing.

    Thanks for the real results. Much appreciated. Just built a 69.4cc Mineralli for my full suspension Shoe-horn build. looks like I need a jet kit for my Bofeng carb. Is the case "port matched" to the aluminum spacer? The carb trick: Is it just the outside of the port that is raised?

    Super cool. Can you do anything about what I assume is destructive resonance before the pipe comes on? Perhaps programable ignition timing to advance / retard timing where appropriate

    • @SafetyUggs
      @SafetyUggs 11 дней назад

      Ignition control could help there, I've noticed in that VM18 test that was running lean really improved that dip but hurt power everywhere else. Detuning the pipe would help too and I think I'll give that a try next. It could also be the stock porting numbers make the engine much more effecient at that dip, sucking in a lot more fuel. If I moved the pipe's peak to that dip I think we'd see some pretty big HP numbers, if that theory is correct

    Thanks for the awesome informative videos. I also ordered one of these aliX cylinders . Arriving in the next couple of days. Can't wait... Going on bike with cdh66 exhaust paired with stihl 090 carb and 44t sprocket for now. Any advice on start setting on the carb H and L screws. Don't want to blow it up at start up. Thanks in advance. I have the exact high comp head you ordered.

    • @SafetyUggs
      @SafetyUggs 13 дней назад

      That combo should really pull once its all set up! The 090 carb will need a crankcase vacuum signal to work correctly. You could drill and tap behind the reed block and grab the signal from there. As for tuning it, start rich. I believe for a saw you'd start rich, hold the throttle wide open and adjust the H mix for the highest RPM, then back it off to the rich side so it drops a few hundred RPM. Confirm with a new plug, do a 30 second wide open throttle ride then cut the engine, don't let it idle, pull over, pull the plug and check the color. There should be a heap of charts on google on what a 2t plug should look like when its running right. Rich is always safe even if you loose some performance.

    • @SafetyUggs
      @SafetyUggs 13 дней назад

      @@johankemp3809 Sounds like you have it all sorted. You should be seeing at least 60kph on that new cylinder, I wouldn't be surprised if you get it closer to 70kph with a little work

    • @SafetyUggs
      @SafetyUggs 13 дней назад

      Oh if you have the CDH pipe with the huge stinger, it needs a silencer or other restriction for the pipe to actually work as a pipe. There was a pretty big increase in power once adding a silencer to that pipe, without it it was barely better than a stock pipe with the cap removed

    • @johankemp3809
      @johankemp3809 13 дней назад

      I think i have the smaller one. I use the original chrome exhaust cut before the bend and jammed inside The cdh. I removed the whole tube from the cap and drilled 2 extra holes. Without this the bike is to loud.
