Hello to both of you and I hope that you are enjoying your Saturday? I am a bit late today, but I'm here now! What can I say? You have really astonished me today! What a beautiful place! ❤ Everything from the railway station, to the hotel was so lovely! The Autumn leaves and the river were spectacular, and when you arrived for your afternoon tea you came to the most picturesque place that I have ever seen!! The hotel looked amazing and the food there looked so nice. Even though, as usual, it contained a few things that I have never tasted before, the presentation was exceptional! You have really spoiled me today - this is just how I imagine the 'real Japan' to be! Everything you showed today looked so natural, but orderly and neat. The people visiting there looked relaxed and happy. I am not a religious person but, if there really is a Heaven, this is exactly how I would like it to be! Thank you so much and please enjoy the rest of your precious weekend.

Hi Neale. We know that you would love this video. This is probably one of the most beautiful parts of Japan, and the autumn view is amazingly beautiful. It is a pity that the weather was not too good on the day we came. We went to a few more gardens and filmed the autumn views of Kyoto. You would definitely love our upcoming videos ❤ have a nice weekend!

Osaka looked nice and you looked like you both enjoyed it? I think that sushi looks very attractive, but as I'm not really a fish eater, I don't really know if I would enjoy it or not? French Toast is delicious and the Indian food looked really good! I can imagine Nissom having a big appetite, because you look like a pretty big person, but how does Ashley keep up? I guess, like all girls, she is very concerned about her weight and, therefore, won't eat as much? I have never met a female yet, regardless of her size, who isn't worried about her weight?? (I'm not being rude, just making a general remark!!) As usual, I would walk past the American shop. Thank you both.

Hi Neale! We like authentic sushi in Japan, but some foreigners don’t like it…it really depends! Perhaps using chopsticks is another challenge. BTW although Ashley is tiny, she has a big appetite and she eats a lot! 😂😂😂 you are so quick to leave a comment today. See you on Saturday ❤

Good morning to my favourite Doctors! I still can't get used to how beautiful Kyoto looks to me; I really hope that it doesn't become just ordinary to people who see it every day? As usual, you picked some lovely looking cafés, but my favourite one was definitely the Café Neuf! The crepes and galette looked lovely! I wouldn't go into a USA themed place at all - just a personal choice and, although the burger looked tasty, it was far too big, especially for poor little Ashley!! I keep talking about wanting to go to Japan, but I don't think that I am fit enough to do it? I envy your lovely lives and I hope that you are both well today. Thank you both for this.

Hi Neale! Kyoto is still beautiful to us, but there are too many tourists, haha. Good choice, the crepes are the best we have ever had! Why do you think that you are not a good fit to go to Japan? We have seen “old” RUclipsrs who don’t know Japanese and English, but they managed to come here by themselves! Don’t place any limits on yourself 😊

@@AshleyandNissom I'm happy that you still find Kyoto beautiful. Ha ha, tourist again!! 🤣 I feel like I know you well enough by now but, I am 67 and retired when I was 65 because I wasn't walking too well. I am sad about that because I absolutely loved going to work and loved my job. I can still walk, but find it difficult to walk any distance. I'm okay and still independent, but I wouldn't like to go all the way to Japan and just have to sit there for long periods. I don't like talking about this as I've always been active and have been a 'walker' all my life! Enough about all this, but I do get a bit envious when I see people being able to do what they want. I'm a bit confused today! It was a lovely video as usual, but were you actually in Taipei, or in Taiwan? I'm not sure what to call it because of the Chinese claim to the island? It looked more Japanese in places - for obvious reasons, and you even referred to one café as resembling a Showa era one? I have a lot to learn about this place! The last café was, what would be called 'Rococo' style in Europe; a style that succeeded Baroque. I only ask this because I know that you always reply. Maybe you could educate me? Have a great weekend.

Hello, I hope you both are enjoying your Saturday. The first café seemed to be dominated by analogue technology? The reel to reel tape deck was really nostalgic, I remember I used to have one! I don't understand why vinyl records, tapes etc are so desirable?? Digital music is far superior and I would never go back. Still, I suppose it kind of fashionable now and I sort of understand that. The second one looked very nice - still full of old technology. The staircase looked very steep, much like Japanese ones I've seen; I would fall down them without a doubt! It's a shame about the egg and bacon one - it looked so nice! I's sure, and I really hope, that you enjoyed your trip there. Good morning to you both. Are you still traveling, or was this a video that you made previously? The first USA themed place you went to was somewhere that I wouldn't even enter! But enough said about that. The second café was nicer, but it did look deliberately distressed, rather than just old. Bagels were sold in The UK in the East end of London because there was a large area of Jewish immigrants and they were quite salty; so I think that was the authentic taste - although I'm not exactly sure? The scrambled eggs were amazing and were just how they should be!! I love coffee, as I've said many times before, but I don't understand all the varieties that can be bought these days!!!! If a facility only offered poor service, and didn't take care of the customers that were there at the time, I would find somewhere else! Enough moaning now, Korea looks amazing and like Japan, I would love to go there. Thank you both and please enjoy your weekend.

I saw lots of pottery items, and also a model bus, that would have tempted both of you! It never ceases to amaze me just how much young people can eat!! Hello to my favourite Hong Kongers. In fact the only ones that I know! ¥7.000 (£35) is a little expensive, but for the same it would be a lot more expensive in England. It looked nice originally, but your reaction and comments about the flavours was quite funny! I think that you were right when you said it was 'false elegance', but it did look kind of nice. I think the savouries were better? Who was/is Harry Winston? What was he famous for, or is it some sort of luxury brand? It sort of looked a bit American; I wonder why people think if it's from the USA then it's better? I'm not a fan of that country. It's good that you try all these things, but I only would if I thought they were value for money and provided good service. It probably was like that but, as you hinted at, it was a little below your expectations. Have a brilliant week end both of you.

The town looked very nice and well maintained. What was the sauce on the omarice in the end scenes? It looked very appetising. As far as antiques go, they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them. Just because something is old, it doesn't always mean that it's valuable! The buying and selling of antiques is only good because it stops things being thrown away, and also preserves a memory. In other words, antiques should be used and not just displayed. The chairs were a good example - they were still functional, useful and were probably made to a good standard, they were probably better chairs than you can buy these days? At least there was a lot of pottery for Ashley to look at model cars for you to look at, but you mentioned that you didn't buy anything. It was a lovely video though. I never get tired of scenes from Japan like this! Thank you both and enjoy the rest of your week.

I have stayed at a couple of Four Seasons Hotels in Europe, but only when it has been paid for me by drug companies when I was still at work. I have to say that I don't like these kind of places; I never felt comfortable there and I didn't like the emphasis on appearance, rather than the overall experience. It was the same with other Five Star hotels. I have never been fond of sweet things, and I see that they were too much for you two also! Ashley certainly didn't appear to like the pear and cheese combination!! It didn't seem like either of you particularly enjoyed the experience, which is a shame. You two are always somewhere; when do you get time to do your studying? Hong Kong seems like a very nice place and everything looks so inviting. I liked the part about salt production. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but salt was a very expensive commodity in past days and good, useful people were often told that they were 'worth their weight in salt'! The Latin word for salt (and thank you for the Chinese word), was 'sal', and that gives us the word 'salary' - from the word salarum which was the salt money paid to Roman soldiers. Good morning to my favourite couple! I can't imagine dining in an old prison!!! I assume it was built by the British initially? Space is at a premium in HK, and I can't believe that people have happy or nostalgic reasons to keep it intact?? It looked like a bleak, austere and brutal place. Sorry to rant, but why don't the Chinese go back to the original name for places? I won't blame you for not knowing every place name in Great Britain, but Aberdeen is at the northern tip of Scotland!! Why keep that name, or other British names? The reasons for Britain occupying Hong Kong were totally wrong, and also evil, and many people here are still full of shame because of it. That was exhausting!!!
