Okay, I can see that. Catchy. Hope we never have to sing it again
Wow, 5 Key changes in just 2 minutes!--- 0:27 0:46 1:11 1:33 1:57
He was a 1st lieutenant the first time he appeared on Hogan’s Heroes 😊
Klink, why are you so glad to see me, when I am never glad to see you?
One of my favorite lines is, "around the corner, by the sign, there's a bull elephant" only for Burkhalter to walk right there at the moment
🤣@@michaelg3201
The drums in the original theme were by Bob Crane Himself
I really enjoy the avalanche episode in season 6 when he goes OFF on the drumset trying to trigger the avalanche
@@horsesandbruins he was an amazing player.
And you know this really came from the heart…. Thats what makes it so good
Hogan a no show? His name is not on the front of the album.
As far as I know, and anyone is free to correct me, he does the drumming for all these songs they recorded. He didn’t do any singing in these recorded songs in this album, which might be why his name isn’t on it.
He appears on the drums in this song. Just like he did in the original.
@@horsesandbruins ya, if I recall. He was an expert drummer. So yes, he did appear
Bob Crane was drumming on the recordings, so he didn't sing. Also, he issued another album on Epic Records in early 1966 with him leading an instrumental band doing TV themes (other TV themes on that album were "Get Smart", "F-Troop", etc.)
Im From Indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩, But I Love This Series And Nostalgic It. Nice And Thanks!
Its nice to see people from other countries appreciating old American TV. There were some gems that you probably wouldn't get exposed to unless you actively sought them out. Welcome to the fandom (:
I'm a long time fan of the show and own the DVD set and I have to say, I think I like this version of the theme more than the instrumental! It's livelier in a fun kind of way!
When I heard this after he died, I cry even though I've heard this song before by him. May God Bless him!😢❤🙏
Right? So sad! I was lucky enough to write him in 2018 and I sent him some photos to sign, and he signed them and sent them back! :D I treasure them
@horsesandbruins 💖Oh my! That's so sweet! I wrote to him as well in '18 or '19, but I didn't send him pictures. I don't know if he did get the letter. I'm glad that you love him as much as I do.
@@bridgetschlaefer5249 Have you had a chance to read the book he wrote about his life? It's called "From the Holocaust to Hogan's Heroes" and it's quite a powerful, moving book
@horsesandbruins Yes. I bought it in 2019. It's a book I could not put down. His memories were sometimes funny in his younger days... I love the picture of his four and a half year old self. I was saddened as I read about his experiences in the concentration camps.
Crazy, funny
Favor , si pueden doblen este programa al ESPAÑOL, los heroes de HOGAN'S , gracias.
The singers were great, but truly...give it up for the musicians! Great brass, piano, and woodwinds!
I can watch this show over and over again cause it is so funny!!!!! 😆😄👍
This song is awesome 👌 and Sgt Kintchloe is one of my favorite characters ❤ 😊
He's great! Carter is my personal favorite. He reminds me of me :)
@@horsesandbruins I do admit that I do have three favorite characters in Hogan's Heroes and Sgt Carter is one of them besides Col.Hogan and Sgt Kintchloe! 😊👍
They sang great especially Sgt Carter and Corp Louis, Sgt Kintchloe was good 👍 too!
May all the Heroes rest in peace! Thank you for uploading this rare Gem!
What a God Given "Handsome Voice"💙😇💙
Ya know, in early Hollywood, you couldn't _be_ an actor or actress if you couldn't sing, play piano or some other instrument, dance AND act. Now you don't even have to be able to _act._ We have these videos like 'actors you didn't know could _sing'_ when a few decades ago it was surprising to see one that *couldn't.*
Why was piano playing a requirement?
Wrong. Many, many, many actors simply FAKED there way into not only singing and dancing, but the acting part. David Niven is an infamous example of a handsome man who simply slipped his way into parties and friendships and dove into acting because he wanted to have fun. His autobiography admits all the details, no formal training, etc. Much of the horseback riding, driving, minor stunts, etc were also just faked (done by actors, but not a professional) just to get the job. So don’t hold your shining fantasy too high.
There are always exceptions to the accepted practices. Cheers!
Sorry I meant 1984
As someone born in 1894 this is my favorite show from before I was born!
You must be the oldest person on Earth!
Oldie but goodie
this rocks!
KEWL~!!
How did I not know Robert Clary sang?
I heard him sing in the show, but it wasn't until I read his book that he wrote that I realized that acting and singing was his primary career.
Robert Clary survived a concentration camp by singing to German officers in WWII when he was around age 14. When he sang Alouatta in an episode of Hogan's Heroes to a crowd of German officers, I wonder how he felt.
A true classic I like these alot it is such a great series of songs
WONDERED IF COL KLINK (THE IRON COL) CONDUTED THE MUSIC
Oh my, that is the perfect image! I actually own this album... bought it new way back when, for the princely sum of 74 cents.
Very good
Actually a nice, clear voice. Kudos to Ivan Dixon!👏
Ivan Dixon is hitting those notes!👍
He had a nice baritone voice. Robert Clary passed away twelve days ago, on November 16, 2022. He was a unique and amazing individual whom God somehow delivered through the Holocaust and eventually into Hollywood. After listening to his testimonials I have the highest respect and admiration for him. He will be missed. Au revoir, Monsieur Clary. Godspeed! 👋
What a cast of characters!
Rip Robert Clary. Thank you for being a wonderful part of something special. They couldn't have done it without you.
Memory Eternal and RIP Robert Clary March 1st 1926 - November 16th 2022 May you find rest and peace with your fellow heroes Bob Crane, Richard Dawson, Larry Hovis, and Ivan Dixon. Vive la France 🇫🇷 !
Bon Voyage, Robert
😭I cried when he died. Now I cry when I hear this song. I have his book, wrote to him some years back, and I'm in my twenties and still missing him.❤
Sous le ciel de Paris used to be my favorite French until I heard Lebeau sing this❤️
That's cool you just walk around with half your haircut how do you style it
Why is one side your hair so much shorter? Not judging just want to know, and your hair turned out great 😃
I wanted less hair without cutting all of it, so I cut it SUPER short on one side and left the other side long. Glad I tried it, but wouldn't do it again LOL
Honey you should have combed your hair better so you don't get any long strays
Why not just make it all the same length?
What would be the point of that? The point of this haircut is movement
Because my hair grows EXTREMELY slowly and I hate cutting it lol
@@Nunyabusinessbro half of her head is a different length. The point is why not make the length the same and then add the movement with layers
She's the chosen one
What is that on her cheek.
Thanks for asking! That is a birthmark, it was there when I was born. It’s my little unique mark from God ❤️
@@horsesandbruins cool, right on
looks like a mole I would be more interested in cutting the mole off my face than my hair!!
@@kari-anneunderwood4401 so rude, she's beautiful and I'm proud she happy with herself. You on the other hand should be kinder to people.
@@kari-anneunderwood4401 you are mean. Even if you feel like that it doesn't mean that you need to say it
looks good! i hope you enjoy your hair love
Looks amazing, well done lovely xxxx
1.25 ftw
Beautiful and soulful rendition, thanks for posting.
Great, thanks for posting!
This album NOT on Apple iTunes BUT the Bob Crane album from Epic Records from 1966 is.
Apple iTunes needs to be sent to the Russian front!
Larry Hovis had such a beautiful voice. So surprising to hear a comedic ham open his mouth and do this
1:31 You can tell that the Saxaphone player was having the time of his life and then at 1:41-1:46 he just got in the groove before the people with him told him to dial it down (I assume)
The musicians and the music back then was such gold and had such skill and emotion! <3
Back in the early 80s, I was in ROTC at Creighton University and was on an honor guard that was presenting the American Flag for some ceremony. There was a suite at the hotel where they put us to prepare, and we shared it the the SAC (Strategic Air Command) Band. The band master played a game with us where he asked us to pick out themes to television shows and his band would instantly play them. One of our group said Hogan's Heroes and they played it so well you would have thought it was the soundtrack from the television show. These guys were excellent. My Dad was stationed at Offutt AFB where SAC HQ was and I heard this band many times and I can say they were great. Long story I know.
Long story but a good one! One of the chief reasons to look through the comments is to find interesting anecdotes.😙
