My 2023 Camaro LT1 Walkaround and How I got it
I love my 5th gen it just looks like a muscle car, this is still nice but looks like it’s going into sports car territory
Don't even mention the fact that the seatbelt is like 20 feet behind you and you have to do a back stretch just to grab it 😂
LOL. Not the worst design feature, but problematic if one has a bad shoulder.
I actually have a type of lights I installed into my 6th gen that genuinely fills in that area perfectly. If interested let me know 👍🏼
I think I saw someone with those in a FB post. Didn't incluse a link, though. Is it something designed for that space? Or something that just works?
@@jimrageLT1 the lights are meant to fit in specific creases for any car and I happened to try that spot and it worked perfectly. If you search (fiber optic car lights) on Google, you’ll see them
info on this please
@@aj2breezy if you search fiber optic car lights on google, you can find them. any additional questions lmk

What is the craziest thing you've heard of being lost pit of despair? Do you have another solution? Let me know!
I lost a small bolt to my blendmound radar mount down there. I still here it when the car moves side to side...everytime I leave a driveway.
Just ban all MOPAR nation wide and 85% of the car communities issues will be solved.
Great video thank you
Thanks
You can still press charges, they are still responsible for anything that comes off their load. Lack of securing and whatnot. Regardless of sign stating othereise
I bet you it was a stone from the tire. Just Stay back or else dis gone happen again.
If I had additional damage, I'd be more inclined to try to pursue compensation, but we were on our way to something much, much more important so this was the least of my worries that day.. Should be a no cost insurance repair. But I'll go back to being much more cautious going forward.
I think it was a bolt, actually. But yeah, just stay back.
You know they have those signs for this reason right? They kick up stones as they travel down the highway.
@@jimrageLT1on the bright side, insurance will pay for a new windshield
Yeah sure just 1 time... you don't need to lie.
Well, that one time something fell and bounced off the road and hit my windshield, at least, lol. But I do generally give those trucks a lot of space just for that reason...fate just wasn't on my side, I guess.
GM is sleeping on muscle cars, Ford is the only V-8 left.
Sleeping? More like comatose.
Beautiful family
Rumors of a 2025 Z28 being the farewell to the Camaro in the fall. Is there any truth to this rumor
So far as I know, nothing about 2025 has been officially specified, but that's a lot to hope for, imo. :(
Your comments a full of EV fanboys who ignore EV's are new and they're catching up to fires per mile to a 100+ year old ICE design. That we do not have the infrastructure to support everyone owning an EV I'm not against EV but we fo need time and a developing support structure...HELLO???😂
🙄 Promo'SM
i noticed the color differences years and years ago when these cars had not been out very long. not a huge issue for me. at least the paint stays on these cars. used to not haha
True enough. Although, the clear coat on the front bumper of my 2013 dirty daily has been wearing off in the last few months. :(
Car looks great!!
Thanks! I really like the sharkskin metallic. Not sure if it's actually any different from any other silver color they've had, but it just seems different in certain light.
In my youth I saved this sort of driving for Friday and/or Saturday nights preferring the interstates. If I only needed a light therapy session, I'd get on the 17 & open up MADCAT to Black Canyon City, stop at the Chevron stretching the legs for about an hour then head back home. If I needed some serious therapy,🧐 that drive would end in Flagstaff for a 1am breakfast at the Denny's just as you enter the city.😋 The 26-gallon tank basically evaporated when I got there (about 175 miles).😒 I'd usually get 🏡 around 4am on the Flagstaff runs.
Sounds like a good time. Probably felt good...until you had to refill the tank. NAH! Still worth it.
@@jimrageLT1 You got that right 👍 Absolutely NO regrets 😎🤙
Is a therapeutic drive sufficient to get you straight when life has been throwing nothing but curves? What kind of driving works for you?
Driving is so therapeutic for me too
Wish I had more time...and better roads....for it
Gorgeous car 😍. However, I'm more of a Mustang 🐎 fan. Vid would have been more appropriate with a Mustang 🐎 Dark Horse then showing a pic of the ugly-🍑 Mach-E. 🤢
That's alright. I don't really hate on mustangs., but you're right. Showing a Mach-E, at the end, would worked. Lol.
Is there a order check spot for chevy trucks? Or do they only check Camaro's?
I've never ordered a truck, but I expect the process works the same way. It's been a long time since I've been in the system so I can't promise they havent closed or changed the loophole to get you access to a live person. Good luck!
I bought a Chevy 2500 HD/LT on 03/23/2024. I got a copy of the workbench order and gave a $1000 deposit. I don't think it's refundable but I am not all that concerned about that part. The order number is 6 letters. Everything i wanted is on there. It's this allocation business that concerns me. It's been a week and I think they said they had allocations coming but Chevy so far has the order but has accepted it officially yet. Total estimated time they gave me was 12 weeks or less. Oh and now we have a bridge collapse too.
Not sure
I have all 3 top of the line in each. I’m fine with the ban. But in the future check ids and ban young dipshits. Thanks young people way to fuck up the real car scene.
The government is pushing and paying the big three to go to EVs. That won’t work if ICE vehicles are kicking around making EVs look bad. Makers don’t make the money on small number cars they do on crappy boxes and trucks. They really don’t want to make them anyway. Performance cars are for marketing an image. But that image will now be EVs and green. All makers are going this way. It’s the beginning of the end for performance cars. You won’t be able to save them with your wallet. Many car guys are going to off-road type motorsports.
The problem is when performance car owners start being obnoxious to the public by doing stupid shit it makes a bad image for true car enthusiast who are really just there to meet up look and talk cars that's it. When the mass majority of public who are not into this stuff get mad and irritated by it they answer back and when that happens meets get out down or canceled. Yes we know it's loud we know it can brake um loose but do it at a place where it's safe and controlled like a race track. But then that also is a problem like the Laguna seca asshole who bought a house next to a famous racetrack and now thinks it's ok to complain about the noise. You bought the house dipshit I'm pretty sure you knew what it was next to. So when that track closes due to an impossible lawsuit to fight that's when our mustang Camaro charger challenger guys take it to the streets. So to the asshole who is trying to sue Laguna seca thanks for making it worse.
Update y'all are permanently banned
Duely noted. Thanks
I can understand why they did this. People should be able to enjoy the car meets with their families and enjoy the event. Too many disrespectful punk wanna be’s ruining it for everyone. I stopped going along time ago, was just getting too ridiculous!
Only extremely wealthy owners driving very, very, high end sophisticated , American European, and Asian cars would be allowed, to do as they please !! Sorry no Red Neck, low budget, trailer trash pole crashing muscle cars are allowed!! Imagine how the road cowboys in Texas feel about this ban! It's only going to be a Elites show of showing their extremely expensive cars that nobody can afford and rubbing in our face with laughter ha, ha, ha, sorry you can't afford my car, we are better than you, bragging cars and coffee for the upper uppity class. Sorry, no working class people like us allowed!!
It's really sad because you have idiots now and yes some are even older men who go out and buy a fast car but lack the driving skills or knowledge to own one. Those people ruin it for the responsible people who are smart but also know how to handle a fast car. I've owned my 89 mustang for 30 years 393 windsor makes around 650 hp and never been in an accident. Plenty of people own these cars that can handle them and are smart people so it's a shame some idiots ruin it for the others.
Hell yea man. I’m itching to drive my Mustang when I get back home.
I like your style sir!
Thanks. Just wish it allowed for more time to dedicate to making content. :(
It's not the same color the plastic has a different effect or put together in different spots painted at different locations , and they never match completelook at any corvette , any car that's silver and certain colors
Yeah. My Dirty Daily plastics are definitely fading and showing their 187K miles.
The problem with production where due to the strikes in Canada that affected the Camaro manufacturing plant. Production for the 2024 models kept getting halted. GM just decided to stop production all together. So if anything, like the South Park song, we should “BLAME CANADA! BLAME CANADA!!!!”
I've never heard anyone associate the production problems with Canada before. But I guess stranger things have happened, lol
@@jimrageLT1 , it’s not REALLY Canada’s fault of course. It’s just that the Camaro factory was in Canada. And after the Canadian workers strikes for more pay. Chevy decides to cease production of the Camaro. So it’s easy to conclude that the Canadian strikes played a part in the demise of the 6th Gen Camaro at least.
I had the Pontiac Sunbird/Sunturd that came right after the Vega, with the mighty (heavy and slow) Iron Duke engine, named to let people know it did not have terrible unlined aluminum cylinders like the previous Vega causing severe engine oil burning. Mine was from Florida, no rust but with about 130 thousand miles needed an automatic transmission rebuild, new power steering pump, and some front end suspension parts. It lost some power compared to new, and it was slug slow to start with. I drove it 2 years, until it started climbing small hill roads slower and slower. Also no air conditioning.
Wow. I can't remember the last time I even saw one of those...let alone one moving under its own power. Didnt know they got the Iron Duke but it makes sense they did. I remember people giving the 2.0 turbo in the Camaro hell. "Camaro doesn't have 4 bangers!", they said. Then I show them the Iron Duke. Reaction is priceless.
Now the Vega are stripped and built in to drag cars
Yeah. I didn't mention it in the video, but they're really popular drag cars. Light weight and a comparatively huge engine bay
Lost interest half way through
Thanks for giving it a chance.
Bye felicia
Me too
My 1973 Vega GT was white was other a black stripe down the middle. I loved it. Piece of shot that it was .
I haven't seen many with the stripe. Assuming what I've seen were factory stripes. Pretty sweet, I must admit.
1975 Pontiac Astre good for 130 MPH all day every day. SWEET!
Wow. I remember those but don't know much about them. I don't even know their reputation. We're they POS's on the Vega/Pinto level? Or just ' meh'?
@@jimrageLT1 It was traded for a brand new and sweeter '79 T-Top Chrysler La baron Coupe, so no rust and no rattles. No complaints at all.
I had a 61 for my first car. I also had a 69 Spider. It was fast.
Did you mean a '71 Vega? Car of the year, right there. How much oil did you go through?
No I meant Corvair. The car he showed first was a Corvair. Yenko made some of them too.
Got it. I got confused by the year. Lol.
Well, this ain't much of a story, but... Years ago there was a hole-in-the-wall Chevy dealership in East Haddam, CT. The building had originally been a gas station and the showroom was just big enough to hold one car. The few other new models they had in stock were parked in a small lot out front. They had a black Cosworth Vega that sat there for years. It finally disappeared in the early eighties just before the dealership closed. Whether it was heavily discounted or had begun to appreciate as a rare model, I have no idea. Going on the fairly good reviews the Vega initially received from the press, I talked my future mother-in-law into buying a base model. It was her screaming yellow zonker. It really didn't scream so much as slowly moan. She liked it, but all the foibles of the Vega soon cropped up, and it was passed along to a young family member. I'm lucky she still let me marry her daughter.
Don't sell it short. I like that story. I think most people that get these cars feel the same way: a piece of crap...but they love it. Thanks for watching.
If you have any Vega stinger stories...or ANY Vega stories, for that matter, I'd love to see them in the comments. thanks!
Nice
Thanks!
🦈 🦈🦈…sharkskin envy🤤
You got me with supercharger envy
God bless 😇
Still sounds slow.
You sound smart lol That Alpha chassis with that excellent LT1 engine is incredible. All that car needs is a staggered tire setup and it will rip like a devil. Let me guess your a mustang fan boy ? Guess what this LT1 Camaro is much lighter, more tractable power, more torque, excellent chassis, and brembo brakes. I test drive a mustang and it has nothing against this Camaro except a more practical interior.
@@alexv5581 😆 🤣, No "FAN BOY" just a 2020 PP1 with factory Brembos,Magneride, and 10R80 with staggered setup from factory, running a simple self installed ESS SUPERCHARGER KIT Lund tuned. You going to have to tear YOUR motor apart and take it out to reach my 700WHP 😆 I'm smart enough to not get a Camaro. 🤓
@@nitodiaz8636 Again you're not smart. You're comparing a track optioned mustang to an LT1, then you supercharge it ? Congrats man. Now compare it to a SS 1LE. The only fan boy here is you fool. Stop responding with emojis like a child. You said the car is slow, which is a stupid, wrong and bias statement. LT1s are s proven engine and sold as crates as well. Old school pushrods are always reliable due to their simple design. Coyotes are known to have ticking issues. I love all type of cars, but I dislike incorrect information. Enjoy your day fan boy

Too bad all my neighbors are old people and dont have the same appreciation. Well, better to say they're closer to retirement age than I am. Lol.
Rs trim looks like poopoo no ambient lighting front bumper look autistic
lol. DRLs weren't on when they were in the shot because the car wasn't started yet.
If they were committed to v8 mustangs, they shouldn’t have disgraced the name mustang with an electric suv.
You're not wrong.
GM had the best platform. LS engine. Tr6060 transmission and a stout it's set up. If GM can still fuck up that recipe. There is no hope
