Its funny how you had so much to say about me saying one derogatory thing about that one person but when they do it to me consistently, your dead silent... ig its completely ok and justified for them to do it but not me? Hypocrisy and Ignorance at it's finest...... maybe someday you'll see how your warped sense of social justice costed you more than it protected you. I loved you..... and what you did to me hurt so much. That's why im still here..... like a fool....
You know what? I just don't care anymore. You made your choice. Idgaf anymore. I hope you listen to what everyone else is saying and just stay away this time. ✌️
I had been trying to learn this for a while, and then I saw that jack has said that the tuning was DADGAD which put a damper on my progress. Haha. I am working on it and I will tab it on ultimate guitar, unless someone else already has a tab...
It is! As soon as I heard the last track I remembered this video from a while back and was like "...wait, Jamie mentioned that both Jack and Suren recorded in the same room... that video..." and bam. It's this!
nidiamarsdee Similar, but I'm gonna have to say no. The double snare-hit is deffo So Long, See You Tomorrow. Suren's fills too, this is deffo for a demo of it. please don't hurt me though :(
First chord is an E then on the third threat use the A string and the B string then go down to a C chord on the third threat, thats all i know so far but its the same strumming technique of my god hope this helps i'm not good at explaining... x
@littlejack2233 Just had another listen, i reckon most of it could potentially be played on one guitar if you could get the tremolo going so you could play the lower notes with thumb, then slide around a bit... but then you get to about 3:18 and it definitely sounds like two guitars.. guess we'll never know! I don't have perfect pitch but I can usually hear the key a song is in. I never thought of it like that, Bon Iver plays a lot of his guitar stuff a bit sharp, hmm i'll listen out...
@EgoSumJessica Yes, as far as I can tell it's also standard tuning. It is indeed tuned sharp, do you have perfect pitch as well? I am of those weird people who thinks every key signature or tuning has a personality or emotion it is good at expressing and often, tuning something a bit sharp can make it sound more nostalgic (try i!). What I want to know is if it's two guitars or one?
@Metronomyesha yeah thats what i was just thinking, it resembles the exact same strumming pattern to the introduction to my god; still amazing song though!
@spinnact Just messing around with this as I write, pretty sure its standard tuning, but from listening to the bass notes and the open b string i think just the guitar is tuned a wee bit sharp? either that or mines a bit flat but yeah pretty sure its standard tuning
This makes my heart soar like a bird 🕊️
Thanks for never giving me that chance... you threw me away like I was nothing

DORK ASS
Ha!
That’s his wife’s name. Be cool!
<3
This is a common technique in classical guitar, found in many classic pieces. Also one of leonard cohen's staples, e.g. Avalanche.
This is literally the 'My God" Riff!
I thought that upon first listen!
He named this after his girlfriend at the time and the cover of Flaws is a painting of her done by Ed. So cute :')
And now they have kids ❤
I used to go to sleep with this playing lol Jack, u r tha man !
A little intense on the b and e string at times, but very beautiful still :)
Astarigast I enjoy that about this song
Anyways this song is beautiful. Solidified jack steadman as one of my favorite musicians
I had been trying to learn this for a while, and then I saw that jack has said that the tuning was DADGAD which put a damper on my progress. Haha. I am working on it and I will tab it on ultimate guitar, unless someone else already has a tab...
Please, do! I've been aching since ever for that tab!
Please do a tab
Daniel McBride Had to play this twice it's so great, tab it and you'll be a hero! although I doubt I'll ever crack it.
I made a tab, it's currently undergoing approval on Ultimate Guitar. Hope this helps!
This is so beautiful. I'm a really big fan and finding bombay bicycle club's old stuff is so great x
Wow heart strings :)
Took a while to click but this is from the last track on your new album. Is this video from the actual recording of So Long, See You Tomorrow?
It is! As soon as I heard the last track I remembered this video from a while back and was like "...wait, Jamie mentioned that both Jack and Suren recorded in the same room... that video..." and bam. It's this!
HarryYeates Pretty sure this was for How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep though!
nidiamarsdee Similar, but I'm gonna have to say no. The double snare-hit is deffo So Long, See You Tomorrow. Suren's fills too, this is deffo for a demo of it. please don't hurt me though :(
Love this, and not only for the obvious reason.
I don't think these guys will ever be knocked of my favourites list
I MADE A TUTORIAL (it's not the best but go to my channel)
First chord is an E then on the third threat use the A string and the B string then go down to a C chord on the third threat, thats all i know so far but its the same strumming technique of my god hope this helps i'm not good at explaining... x
This shows how the power of the guitar is immense.

can't believe this is just one guitar playing. jack = boss
@DillyD0t jack..
When i listen to this, i feel that i'm flying over the stars. And it's perfectly calm but elational at the same time. simple mastery.
first picture reminds me of the amazing train journeys in India.. miss India so much... music's so serene...
@crubba Oh, so it is. :)
@LukeCowanMusic It's for the new version of 'How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep' which is the first track on their new album :)
What were you recording for? Sweet rhythm
Makes me think of Gustavo Santaolalla music. Beautiful.
@WhiteSleevedStu My God ^.^

As far as I'm concerned, this song will be played on my wedding day. :)

@DillyD0t I'm pretty sure it's jack because he plays drums too and it looks a lot like him
@littlejack2233 Just had another listen, i reckon most of it could potentially be played on one guitar if you could get the tremolo going so you could play the lower notes with thumb, then slide around a bit... but then you get to about 3:18 and it definitely sounds like two guitars.. guess we'll never know! whos the other drummer the white t one
@Metronomyesha Yes they're using the same kind of strumming pattern from the start but in different keys. Perhaps they sampled this for 'My God'?
@EgoSumJessica Yes, as far as I can tell it's also standard tuning. It is indeed tuned sharp, do you have perfect pitch as well? I love the beat! It's really catchy :L
Love it :)
yes.
Jamie's got some sweet moves for a ginger.
Too legit to quit!
mmm groovy. especially jamie's dancing.
this shall be the last song i listen to in 2010. i swear.
@Metronomyesha yeah thats what i was just thinking, it resembles the exact same strumming pattern to the introduction to my god; still amazing song though!

sware this is pratically My God, but darker and instrumental and somewhat more beautiful?
@pjfsupertramp don't think so, it's in a different key.
