This is the complete film version which was sung by Rachel Verney. An alternate version was used for the soundtrack album which was sung by Leslie Mackie (who played Daisy in the film), which was also released as a 7" single. I had a very amateur attempt with Audacity to try to remove or lessen some of the film's incidental sound effects and improve the clarity of the sound somewhat. Poster by ...

Tweaked louder version. From the 1969 Monkees TV Special "33 1/3 Revolutions per Monkee". Both were only about 21 years old at the time and Brian Auger & the Trinity were the musicians I'm guessing. Thanks to RUclipsr "hotbacon123" for putting the original up.

The Master Musicians of Jajouka - Live in France 1980 HD
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.9 лет назад
The greatest piece from a '90's Staaltape bootleg recorded live in Paris, France during the groups first European tour in 1980 before the Jajouka/Joujouka schism. I've read there were 35 musicians on this tour, must've been amazing to see. * Re-upped in HD.

Released in 1995 on WOMAD's Real World Records, the slow-building extended songs make this perhaps their finest, most powerful document. 1. My God My Love Has Come 2. Bughudia - 20:04 3. The Real Long Night is Jajouka - 40:01

A slow burning soul groover from '75 with nice use of mellotron (or maybe the cheaper version known as a chamberlain.) from "True Soul Volume 2 - Deep Sounds from the Left of Stax" which documents the little known True Soul label from Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Master Musicians of JAJOUKA was the first edition ...This is Bachir Attar and his father who led the group...Hadj Abdeslam Attar was leader at this time and the name of the village and group was JAJOUKA. Bachir, his father and his brothers are all on this recording. The second edition was made without permission. When we contacted them they said they would not pay for the record but re released it anyway. We were sent an original box by a man who was selling them in Seattle. W contacted staaltape This is a bootleg.

RUclips, mostly. Zane Kesey uploaded the full version of a lot of this footage, of what is believed to be the Muir Beach acid test of 1965. Some footage of the March 1966 pico acid test exists too. The acid test graduation in late 66 had some pretty good footage.

I saw the Wicker Man film when I was 12 years old on a Sunday Sunday evening on BBC2, My parents were on a train, which had broken down, They rang and spoke to my oldest sister "Make sure you dont watch the wicker man" So we did, one of those films that you dont move from the opening to the end credits, and the scene in which this song is from, Forever remembered as if I had just watched it. The whole dark atmosphere of the entire movie is still there for me all those yeats on.

The most obvious thing is this doesn't have the echo effect put on the vocals at 2:00, and the guitar is also a little less prominent throughout but you'd only pick it through headphones.
