Wow that sounds like our story, mom always took me and my brother to Kings Island for a cheap vacation, then we took our kids, we'd stay at cabins at Cowan Lake state park, remember mom taking me and my wife when we were dating, awesome memories. 😊

Great video! Growing up, our parents would take us to Coney Island in Cincinnati.. My wife and I took our boys to Kings Island a few times when they were younger. They are now in their 30’s. We were lucky to have ridden Son Of Beast!

For 20 years or so, I had a seasonal site that was like $500 per year. It was only 35 minutes away from Knoebels Park, so that was a staple for us when the kids were young. We'd take a week off and go there on a Wednesday and the kids would get on a ride and the workers would just let them stay on and keep riding because the park would be nearly empty, mid week. We're only 20 minutes from Hershey, but Knoebels is superior to that mess. Way cheaper, better food, free parking.... great for families struggling to get a vacation going. It wasn't until last year that we actually stayed at their campground attached to the park, and that wasn't all that bad, considering that it's generally kinda packed.

The beach water park is closed now I used to love going there... Surf Cincinnati was THE best water park in my opinion sadly they are gone too lol

Never did winter camping with the camper ours already winterized,if we tried winter camping what tips can you give me? Possible video maybe ,are the state parks restrooms open in winter? Lots of questions,,
