A Gruesome Vicious Kill by Wild Dogs in South Luangwa National Park
While on safari in South Luangwa National Park, we saw a herd of puku running and our guide said they were being chased by a pack of Wild Dogs. They caught and killed one in the distance, but then decided to kill another - right in front of our vehicle. A very gruesome sighting - Mother Nature can be so cruel! The poor puku did suffer as it was only being attacked by 2 dogs , so it was a slow painful death. A once in a lifetime sighting

hippo cull in Zambia

While out on a game drive in South Luangwa - Zambia we came across the end of a hippo cull. There are a designated amount of permits annually to cull hippo's. We were not able to stop and look for long as this was done in an area where tourists visit, and was not meant to be done in sight of tourists in the area.

This is footage taken from a visit to Hwange National park - Zimbabwe. It includes some footage of Cecil's adolescent cubs and Grace (the lioness) with a buffalo kill. She left the pride at this time as Cecil was overturned - she later rejoined it once Cecil & Jericho got it back.

Stop saying you don't believe the lioness survived. lions/lionesses heal at a faster rate than humans and can take a lot that ppl can't.
lioness. Normally lionesses aren't as vicious unless they need to be. And hyenas can only conquer in numbers. Alone, they don't stand a chance so I dunno y ppl act like this is some great feat. It's not. One on one, the lioness prevails.

Look at all these hyena lovers in the comment section; the Lion is called the king of the jungle for a reason- pound for pound in terms of sheer strength and power applicable to its weight, the Lion is the undisputed champion and will always be. If I'm not mistaken, this clip is from a different source albeit slightly longer because I've seen this already years ago. No offense to the op but there are quite a couple of typos in this thing. Its hyenas, not hyena's. No apostrophe. And to the hyena lovers, please; for every lion killed by hyenas, one lion has killed at least 20 roughly estimated. You've had male lions that have wiped out well over 50 hyenas in their life cycle. This female didn't run like the others because she was struck with illness or something, no normal lioness stands there like that- that's why she didn't put up any real fight, she couldn't (I remember that being said in the original vid I saw yrs ago).

They are not "baby" hippos! For goodness sake! Hippos are nasty ill-natured , territorial creatures. The ellie bul is in musth and looking for his partner who ready to bread.
