    The entitlement is ridiculous. These drivers need to be more vigilant and considerate towards everyone, especially pedestrians, They think just because they drive in a huge metal box they can do whatever they want! We need more law enforcement out here. Especially in Brooklyn, I barely see anyone getting pulled over for moving violations, @nypd needs to get off their cell phones inside their patrol cars and actually go and do their job!

    The MTA need to stop attacking cars and pass on their fees on to their riders not cars. We already spend a lot maintaining our vehicles. The taxes in we pay from buying gas and purchasing vehicles provides money for maintaining road infrastructures. The MTA makes billions of dollars already through tolls throughout the city not only that but they also get public funding from taxes. I think it’s outrageous that they give huge salaries to these workers that aren’t very deserving in a crumbling infrastructure MTA workers should not be getting paid over 60k salaries but a lot of them abuse the clock and are even found sleeping on the job collecting money. Traffic wasn’t as bad before the designated bus lanes and bike lanes that barely get used which already reduces driving lanes by 40-50% throughout most of the city especially on big avenues. If anything the city has to get rid of 50% of TLC cars which makes up over 50% of the traffic in lower Manhattan. Or charge congestion pricing on only TLC cars.

    • @theurbanspokesman
      @theurbanspokesman Месяц назад

      They need to pass it on to cars because ultimately all that infrastructure has to be maintained. Subway riders are already paying for what they use. Drivers need to pay for what they use regardless of MTA issues. Subway riders are paying for what they use directly already. No drivers are paying to wearing down the infrastructure here in the CBD. They drive aggressively. They hound pedestrians living in the area like we are barely allowed any space on the street despite the fact there are more of us. Everyone thinks us pedestrians are supposed to finance everyone else's lifestyle in NJ and update. Wanna fix affordability? move here vote and fix it....but no... everyone else is just leeching off NYC from their suburb.

I believe they have changed the light sequences so you can't go past 3 blocks at a time. That is if you're at a red light and it turns green you can only drive about 3 blocks and then its red light. That slow down of traffic is what will prevent deadly accidents. But people simply have to pay attention to walking accross the street, and I'm talking about adults.
