I just think the combat is too simplitic even for a children's first action game. It doesn't have to have DMC depth but something a little more interesting. Maybe there could be some kind of Style counter like in DMC that would incentivse the player to mix and match combos? I'll be honest when I played this game and realized the regular enemy combat for this game was pretty boring and so I just run past them which is not something you want the player to do when it comes to an action game. The enemy design in terms of how the player approaches combat probably also doesn't help either because most of them are copy and pasted. You usually run past enemies to just move on in the game imo.

This should be expected, Sonic Forces also had different animations for failing QTEs. Didn't expect it to look so cool though

Slight nitpick, but I also generally don't like the design of the extreme gear in Zero Gravity. I forget which RUclipsr it was, but he said it best, Zero Gravity isn't a bad game but it has significantly less complex and rather boring gameplay.

you wanna know what? i think if this game was ever remade, they should make it like a "what if SNK made a Sonic game for the Neo Geo AES/MVS?" type of game, but with non-pixel HD graphics a la Sonic 2 HD

I wish there was a remake or rom hack/mod of this game that let you play as super sonic in all the stages like in sonic 2 after you collect 50 rings you can transform and stuff like that

I do like shadow genetstion idea of givinf the player more freedom but i still think their ahould be skill and reaction based gameplay ontop of it. Or at least add an option to make it more challenging in a way. It adds more replay value as youd be more inclined to get a better rankiny alongside testing the best mechanics that can aid you. And while i have yet to see thr full challenge that shadow generation has to offer i will say that it might lean a bit too much on the easier and i personally would like a little bit challenge as a motive to improve myself

Generations has tons of open level design that makes you want to replay the stages.

Kudos to Team Sonic for doing their jobs and to Sega for actually letting them.

I don't understand the hate for the one that's been officially been revealed, and also...It's only Act 1, so there is going to be an Act 2 at some point later until the games release, it's not all bad. But it can also be rude to the music artist, who put the time and effort and work hard into composing the official tracks. But hey, not everything has to be perfect or in the way that you would expect to be.

In my opinion, I feel like this is actually BETTER than the official one. The official is not bad, but it just feels weird. I’m sure it will grow on me. But THIS, THIS REALLY feels like Chaos Island. Again, amazing job for even outdoing the official version! Gonna put this on loop for another thousand times

Plus, pre order bonus suck in my opinion. Like dude, I don't have that much to spare on a game that Idk if it's even gonna be worth my time 😭
